I'm using a Nexus 6p running PureNexus Rom, i have seen that one of the features of DigitalHigh6p Rom is "Download HTC Apps from Play Store", my question is:
Is there a Xposed's module can allow me to download BlackBerry, Samsung or Asus apps from the Play Store?
If you can find the APKs, the BlackBerry apps like the keyboard can be installed.
For ASUS & Samsung apps though, they need the custom framework that is only available on their phones. In other words, they won't work

Can I get different market apps like the original nook market he adroid market and other markets on my CM 7.2 or my CM9 ?!
besides the regular android market? where can I get apps and games from!?
Thanks!!
You can get Amazon or Getjar as alternative appstores but you cannot use BN's own AppStore on a CM install.

Why will the android market work, but not the b&n store... is it harder to hack? Different system? Incompatible?

B&N store is proprietary store: it will only work for NCs with the stock (B&N-specific) ROM installed. Once you install any CM, you're no longer using B&N OS, and cannot access the B&N store (unless you Dual boot, in which case you can access B&N store when you're booted into whatever partitions contain the B&N OS).
If you're already on CM, why would you want to keep using the B&N store anyway? It's severely limited, some apps are priced more, and the Android Market has so much more variety.
I doubt you want the BN store for its apps since it was mentioned that they are more expensive and limited. If you want it for the book buying, just download the nook app from the market and at the top you access the BN store.

I have a question about my SGT p1000 running CM 9
I recently got the CM 9 on my p1000 and it is unbelievably amazing! I figured out how to get the original google apps package and flash it onto the device, but I have a question about the apps. On the Play Store(both the app and through the browser, even though it gives me a list of apps that i have installed on my p1000, I obviously do not have those apps on the device as I wiped all user data post the flash. So my question is how do I make the Play Store realize that I do not have those apps it shows as "My Android Apps" on my device and I need to re-download and re-install them? Thank You.
So I'm seeing a bunch of apps that are not compatible with the the nexus 7... (TMZ, Newsday, Amazing Alex, Six Guns, HBO Go, etc.) I am rooted and have tried changing the dpi to 160 and full tablet model but the that doesn't do that Chavez these apps compatibility.
I saw this once in the past with the One X. Someone found a way to change the way the device identifies itself to the play store. Is this the same type of issue?
Anyone have a way around this? My last tablet was a Transformer prime and I would like to be able to run these apps on my N7 as well.

It's usually because the developer hasn't changed the market info to enable support for jelly bean.
if you have these apps on your phone or other tablet you can backup the apk and try to install it on the N7 and see what happens. Also good to report back to the developer through an email letting them know that the app does not show up, or it does not work.
TMZ works just fine but the HBO Go & Max Go apks still don't work even after a DPI change to 170 so the only other possible way is to edit the build.prop to trick both the market & app to think that it's a different device but I'm not that sure it will work because I think only one of the Go apps have been updated for tablets but I might be wrong on that I also tried to edit the apk directly to work on ICS months ago before they added support and I couldn't fix that so I'm not even going fool with it thus time if you need the apks PM me

It's the same thing that happened with honeycomb. lots of apps did not work at launch. gonna take a while for everything to be updated.
HBO Go JUST added tablet support like a month ago.
Right but the apps i mentioned all worked fine on my Transformer prime. So its not the app its something about the N7.

HBO Go explicitly supports only a handful of tablets and the Nexus 7 isn't one of them yet.
EDIT: Also this: "- Now supporting Android tablets running up to version 4.04 (Ice Cream Sandwich)"
Is there a way around this? I haven't rooted yet, but I will eventually. It's pretty annoying that a lot of apps that I have already searched for aren't there...
I need my HBO Go!

If an app is not supported it's for one of three reasons
1) the app developer has put a 'ceiling' on the app so it can only be downloaded by devices up to a certain version of android. Most likely 4.0.4 and they have not updated the play store information to allow for 4.1/4.1.1
2) the app developer only allows it for certain devices (HBO GO) and has to manually add support for the Nexus 7 either through more development in the app or simply enabling support for it in the Play Store.
3) The app does not work in jelly bean and there for the developer is not allowing anyone to download it and has done one of the above until they can enable support for it.
This happened with honeycomb (3.0) and ice cream sandwich. (4.0) and there is nothing to freak out about. Just email the dev and tell them that you can't download it on the nexus 7 with jelly bean.
Has anyone tried the Comcast Xfinity app? I cannot get it to work. It loads, you are able to choose video, but when it starts trying to play it says your video will play shortly with a spinning circle next to it and never goes any farther.
Same exact thing on HBO GO on Fios.

I would not be 100% sure its an app issue. I have an app in appstore. No versions limitations and I can even see nexus 7 in list of supported devices. But still get incompatible message if I try install it. Totally puzzled

You can try to change the build.prop in you system folder to match another device. I did this on my older tablet and on my galaxy note to get more games to show.
U need root access to read and write system folder.
ro.product.model=A500
ro.product.brand=acer
ro.product.name=a500_ww_gen1
ro.product.device=picasso
ro.product.board=picasso
Edit these lines. Then reboot make sure u make a backup this may or may not work. Anytime I didn't work I just rebooted again and it went back. If Acer doesn't work you can try an Asus transformer build.prop. There is always gonna be an issue with comparability though. Your better off finding and side loading an apk for now to test rather then buy to find out it don't work.

Let's not make a noise
please check my question again . I read
I'm developer. My app is running on other JB devices ( galaxy nexus no issues what so ever)
I can manually install app on nexus 7 and it works perfect
I just not aware of any limitation could be that would block device. I tried already removing request for vibration permission but still play store doesn't allow app for nexus 7
it's something strange
I already opened ticket @Google for this

Dude. You are wrong. These are not the only reason apps don't show. Tell me why an app would appear and install and run just fine from the amazon app store but not show up at all in the play store?
Try the new Rovio game Amazing Alex. Doesn't show up in play store but comes up in the Amazon app store, installs fine and plays perfectly.
I have side loaded the newsday, ameritrade, tmz for tablets etc... And they all run perfectly.

Looking through the google play store a lot of apps cannot be installed on my N7 because its not compatible with them.
But for many I can't see how or why it wouldn't be compatible.
1. Is compatibility for the N7 an opt in process or are those apps testing for some capability or another they cannot find?
2. Is there a way to force such apps to install on an N7?
I've noticed most apps work if you side load them (I don't play games really...so can't speak to them) the problem is you need to get the apk to install them.
To answer your "why" question, I would think because Jelly Bean is so new that Devs haven't tested their apps and marked them JB compatible.

If you changed your DPI, that could be a reason.

i notice that too. some of them doesn make sense at all.
for example the game shoot the zombirds,
it works on my phone, and my old galaxy 10,1 that has the same resolution as nexus 7.
but it says not compatible with nexus 7.
since the game is free, i download it to my phone and use air droid, a free app,
to make a backup of that game as an apk file, then use air droid to install it on the nexus 7.
it runs smooth and great on nexus 7.
This happens to some degree with every new Android version. its just new. like was said above me, the developers have to update their apps for JB compatibility
JB just came out. I don't know how Devs have the time to update so quickly.

I find the opposite - of all the apps I have searched for and/or downloaded I would say less than 5% were incompatible. At least from Google Play.

I don't think that app is available direct from the Play Store with even stock Nexus 7. You probably have to sideload. People say it works fine this way.

The answer is easy, dont change the DPI in your build.prop otherwise it changes the way Google Play Store reconise your apps so yeah apps that should be compatible wont show up or wont install :/ Wait for my ROM, I'm releasing it this week and will have the Tablet UI with the original DPI
The Amazon app isn't compatible since the 7 does not have a rear camera. Most of the incompatibilities you will see are due to this same issue- the app is only available for devices with rear cameras. In most cases, such as with Amazon, the app can be sideloaded.

Hi,
I have been having problems with several apps suddenly not being compatible with my Nexus 7, had this problem even before latest update.
A few of the apps not compatible are:
Dropbox, Facebook, Amazon kindle, Nova Launcher.
Using Standard Rom unlocked.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

I got it working by resetting the DPI to it's original 213, cleared the play store and google caches and rebooted.
Don't know why it suddenly started playing up.
Oh it does that when you change your DPI. I had that issue on SlimBean ROM but then I flashed the special Play Store for that DPI and it worked.
