today i was returning stock my xperia sp with cm 12.1, so I flashed back stock rom with flashtool, but when booting it turn off after sony splash screen. So I flashed stock based roms and the results were the same, why? If I flash back cm12.1 it works, I also wiped all including internal storage
I don't know but it happens the same to me, maybe we also need to flash the kernel after install or something like that.

I just got a N7. It came with stock 4.4.2 but I unlocked and flashed a few 4.4 ROMs to try out (Liquid, CM, OMNI). Anyway, I figured I might want to try a 4.3 ROM so I flashed one. It didn't boot. Went back and installed the 4.4 ROM and all was good. I thought maybe I needed to flash a 4.3 factory image first, so I did. I fastbooted (verb) everything in the JWR66Y directory and OMG it booted. Great, time to flash a ROM, right? Nope. Flashed CWM touch 6.0.4.3 again and it booted using the stock ROM/kernel but after I flashed a custom ROM, it just sits at the boot screen. The obvious answer here would be to have patience and wait. I have waited for 35+ minutes at the bootanimation screen with no sign of booting. This is on any 4.3 ROM I try. However, it will boot right up if I flash the stock JWR66Y system and boot images. What do you think, kernel related or am I missing something more obvious?
I'm currently downgraded my phone back to Jellybean (98.30.1) because the Kitkat firmware was a huge battery hog. I then decided to flash TWRP 2.6.3.0. Everything goes well, and then I flashed the pacman msm8960jbbl rom. After that, the phone no longer goes beyond the splash screen. I can still go to recovery and ap fastboot but no matter how many times i wipe my phone, the results always stay the same. The rom worked the first time, but the next few flashes were a trainwreck. Any idea how to fix this problem?
Try returning to stock ROM with RSD lite after that repeat the process to install the custom ROM

hey guys ... i was running cm12.1 on my duos s5 nicly then i wanted to move back to stock so i wiped all and flashed a rom i was using before and usually works i mean tested ... all goes well until the samsung logo appears and the phone sits there ! ... i tried flashing stock boc using odin and it booted so i went back and flashed the rom again and still stucks on logo again .... im using the kernel from the stock and also the flashing script is tested before its not something new ... why is this happeing ? what can prevent the rom from booting even to animation rather than a faulty kernel ?
Have you tried wiping again after Stock flash? I have had issues before where something seems to linger with the booting if wipe is done before flash.
Yea, I'd try factory resetting, if that fails, try flashing the PIT file for that mode S5 along with the 100% stock ROM - if that boots, flash your modded stock again
Flashing back
Hi man
First of all be sure you picked the right firmware. Clear the cache and try a factory reset. Then try to flash it again using Odin's latest version. Hope you'll make it.
Hey guys,
I have a little problem with my new OP2.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted etc.
I installed Paranoid Android and I wanst sure which kernel works on it.
So I tried flashing one for CM13 and one for OOS3, but both of them wouldnt work.
Now Im trying to get back to stock or atleast flash the boot.img from the Paranoid ROM.
I can boot, access the recovery and bootloader. I flashed different boot.imgs (Stock and Paranoid) and recoverys. But none of them helped.
The touchscreen wont react at all. If I boot, if I am in the recovery. It just wont work. Hardware button seems to be fine though.
Any ideas how to fix that?
Try wiping system partition and flash the PA ROM again (and Gapps of course) and it will restore system and kernel back to PA default.
If touch still doesn't work, then you'll probably have to wipe userdata partition as something you installed with the kernels not supporting other than official latest CM13 sources is messing with your system.
You need to flash full stock using fastboot from unbrick guide.

google megaunbrick guide oneplus2 and follow that!
didn't got your logic behind flashing custom kernel that too on paranoid android, I can understand that for cm13 as the battery life sucks there but pa easily gives 6+ hrs of sot which any other rom or even a custom kernel can't even come closer to it in my personal experience.
meaning you can try to flash the whole rom through fast boot or use unbrick guide to go full stock.
I haven't unlock my phone yet. I used the qpst tool to flashed the rom to zui 0.9. Then I flashed the offical twrp.
Offical cm13, cm14 and some aosp rom(slim etc.) can boot and work well on my device after flashing, but cm based rom such as nuclearom and bliss cannot boot. They always stuck on the boot screen and fail to boot into desktop after a clear flashing. Have I missed something?
You have to unlock bootloader and do clean flash otherwise you may encounter such problems with custom roms
