[TOOL] rkBreakout v1.2 -- HUAWEI Ascend W1 jailbreak tool

It's dangerous if you don't know what it is.
You must read every instructions in the tool carefully.
I don't guarantee that I'll answer every questions about this tool.
W1-C00 and W1-U00 are both supported. W1-U34 is not confirmed, but it should be same as W1-U00 in theory.
XP is not supported, you need Vista and above system.
Tested only on China ROM GDR 0/1/2/3, but all ROMs are compatible in theory. If something wrong, post your phone's version and ROM version.
Only universal homebrew xap will work. Anything use Samsung service won't work.

is there a bootloader fix option for w1-U34(GDR1 Windmobile-Canada ) . I tried your app with both u00 and c00 options andIt shows the phone in device manager and in step 4 "Phone Connected". But in step 5 it shows waiting for phone to restart, With an error message " Image download Failed. Cookie (if Present) not Received. Could you add an option of this model too, or is there a way to change it from u34 to u00.
P.S on a sidenote Great job on the app its pretty easy to use, I do get an error when I open it runtime error '53' - File not found, after I click ok opens the app not sure if im missing something or its a problem with the app

Currently W1-U34 is not supported because partition struct is unknow.
Runtime error is a small bug, fixed, thanks.

No, Storage Manage need driver by Huawei. AFAIK only Russian ROM has driver support it.

You should details this jailbreak, most users do not know what expect after it. Anything new on menu, visible an partition hided before or Interop etc

It's fun for users that finding new stuff by themselves. Actually only a little things have been changed after jailbreak.

Doing now 2nd time and have perform HR again due to stocking on black screen after booting and your logo.

Reker is samething wrong with it, always got black screen while after booting and Huawei logo. Only after HR the phone is booting properly but is nothing missing after it?

My mistake, an old test file was used in tool. I'll corret this in 30minutes

You mean the tool? I tried it's OK on my computer. Maybe upload problem? I use my server as a proxy to pack and upload.
I've packed again and reuploaded it

U34 should be same as U00. You can try change a computer or reinstall QPST/Driver first. Some people said that 'cookie not present error could be fixed by using a winxp/another qpst windows driver'

that could be the problem cause I was trying on Win 8 and it auto found the drivers didn't need to install them. I'll try it on XP later today.

The driver should be installed manually, do not use the driver system auto provided.
Don't try XP, the tool do not support it

Install location of the appx?

Hi guys,
I just unlocked Sammy Odyssey (thanks WOLF & GoodDayToDie) and upgraded to PfD 8.1 (all done without using MBN Creator). Full FS access is enabled and I can see the handset file system (but partially probably?)
I can access installed (sideloaded or from store) apps in "Data\programs" but when I sideloaded an appx bundle app (just for educational purposes, I'll not provide any link because of xda's anti-warez policy), I can't find installed application...
Does anyone know where they are (appx applications) installed?

Because installation Directory of appx files are different .
as I remember it was in :
C:\ProgramFiles (or Programs)\WindowsApps(or Windows Apps)
in SD Card :
D:\WPSystem\Windows Apps

Thanks. Looks like this folder is invisible via MTP (full FS access), probably, some WP8-specific file attributes are set.

Your MTP service is probably running under the PROTOCOLS account, rather than as SYSTEM. PROTOCOLS (the normal account for MTP) can't see that folder, but SYSTEM can. No WP8-specific attributes, just very tight permissions. If you try to browse to it using Native Access Fileserver (AllCapabilities version, of course) you may be able to read there, though (haven't actually checked).

GoodDayToDie, unfortunately all caps not working on PfD 8.1 And "yes", I agree, looks like it's a permission issue...

Yes I did but EnableAllSideloading is not working (but BootstrapSamsung is working).
Sounds like we should rename proud name "Full FS access" to "Partial FS access" - it will be more realistic

In WP8.1 I tried to unlock capabilities and yes it doesn't work with the old ways
I need an Ativ S to unlock Capabilities on GDR2 or GDR3 and then update to 8.1 and see what changed in registry !
for full fs you are a developer you can downgrade to GDR2 and then upgrade to 8.1
develop an app that get folders from Path ("C:") then using Directory Info class change all folder type as Normal I think .
you can see all of them using MTP connection
but please pay attention I didn't test this way and it may not work or it can brick your phone I don't know it .

@ngame, do you know how to downgrade Verizon's ATIV Odyssey SCH-i930? I can't find firmware for this handset...
BTW, do we have an advanced file manager for interop unlocked phones (for sideload only of course)? I think, even if appx folder isn't available to get in (like on desktop Windows, C:\Program Files\WindowsApps), it should be visible somehow in the Program Files...
I will try to insert sd-card to the phone, and select default installation patch to the sd-card - maybe this solves appx location problem...

For WP8.1.1 Full FS access requires changes to the registry

So, with the sd-card, simple WPSystem_Folder_Unlocker and Pocket File Manager 4.3.4 I achieved my goal: I'm able to view/modify/copy installed appx. But WPSystem on sd-card still invisible via MTP (fortunately, PFM has builtin ftp server so I still can use my favorite Far Manager )

Hmm... I'm not talking about "full FS access" (I already have one!), this topic is about access to the appx installation folder (which is not accesible even with "full FS access" because it's not a full).
On the sd-card, all apps (xaps and appxes) are installed to the "SD Card/WPSystem/Apps/WindowsApps", on the internal phone storage, installed xaps are stored to the "Phone\Data\programs", but appxes should be stored to "Phone\PROGRAM FILES\WindowsApps or something like this, but nobody knows exactly...

It's FULL, but second part of the hack is unstable.

@marass82, I'm sorry, looks like I misunderstood you. You mean with these registry changes I'll be able to access to full file system, correct?
By the way, how did you added these settings to the registry? Via WOLF's "MBN Creator" tool?

for odyssey there's no rom to create flashable rom or downgrade
use Capability Hack trick to use registry editor .
I think it's the best way for you to done it

1. Deploy Custom_WPSystem.xap tool
2. In Hack Tool.zip, the Custom_PfD.xap file, save/place it in sd card.(just place, don’t deploy it!)
3.Now open Custom_WPSystem.xap tool. At startup you can see “SD Card permissions” as red color. Now click that , browse and select SDcard (just SDCard!) to apply permissions.
4.Now you can see “SD Card Permissions” as green color.
5.After changing SD Card permissions click on browse xap button.
6.Browse and select Custom_pfd.xap from SD card and click Apply XAP Button.
7.After successfully applying custom_pfd tool to preview for developers goto Preview for Developers apps.
8.Now your phone is hacked and you can edit registry of your WP8.1.

Worked with tinkering. MobileOperatorName or PhoneOperatorName : 000-IN ----->is the new registry edit.
Insider app must be installed on phone,
preview for developers app must be installed to SD CARD
Update worked on HTC8s (RIO) currently downloading to device as we speak...
Will let you know how it goes...

lumia 810 here, everything went well until the phone restarted prior to install. After about 30min of spinning wheels, it returned the 80188308 error.
it was 8.1 preview for developers in factory reset only, will try from factory firm wp8.
Useless to try. Now, when I open windows insider and log in my ms account, the app crashes and exit.

Check your sys space, it must more that 300MB. if this not enought, you must flash your phone with Nokia Care Suite. Reset or Factory Reset not affected

it's over 4gb.
At first I was able to log in the insider then get the update, though, after downloading and half an hour of spinning wheels, I was getting an 08xxxx error whitch was common on early updates of wp8.1 due to lack of space. So I cleaned up the phone to factory specs. Now, I'm not able to log in the innsider app, as when I input username and password, the app craches. Even if there's no tweak at all.

its not about phone memory,its sys free space to install updates,max it may be 600-700MB,use microsoft phone recovery tool toget full sys free space

Sys space not same with phone memory (internal). Again, it will be not affected by factory reset. You must re-flash your device with Nokia Care Suite (first point in the Top thread).
The Windows Insider force close because the update faild and no another way to fixing it without Flash your device using Nokia Care Suite

Maybe the app can´t get permissions or

[XAP] Custom Lock Screen - Rebuilt for 12-Hour format and U.S Date format standards

Hey Everyone!
I am not going to say this is my app because really it's not, this is just a rebuild of the LockScreenTest app with United States standard Date and Time formatting for those who want it.
Original app is by: -W_O_L_F-
To install the application you will need Interop-Unlock as well as:
ID_CAP_SHELL_DEVICE_LOCK_UI_API and ID_CAP_CHAMBER_PROFILE_CODE_RW must be unlocked to install this app!
Install with Windows Phone Power Tools or with this method!
Download is in the attachments list.
Features(These features come from LockScreenTest by -WOLF-):
Set pictures as background
Set video as background (Place raw MJPEG video on root of SDCARD NOT PHONE STORAGE)
Override system lockscreen
Calendar events
Notifications (E-Mails and Messages as far as I know work?)
12-Hour format clock
United States standard date display
Music control (Xbox Music only for now)
Battery Percentage on Lockscreen
Let me know what you think, this is my first attempt at compiling a Windows Phone 8.x application
Side Note(s): I also plan on releasing an AdAway port to WP8.x devices as soon as I can figure out how to get system access to the hosts file. but that will be in another thread.

I didn't actually write this orginally it was built by -WOLF-, I just reworked the source to get proper US formatted Time and Date.
I am planning on adding on to it though so stay tuned! I will add that as a feature soo!

Battery Percentage added to Lockscreen in V2

Can you implement Bing image as background? Also, I dont want battery info on my lockscreen...

- disable battery percentage
- Bing live wallpapers
- ability to change back to 24 hour standard

Thanks man! I really liked your app, and used it for awhile, but I really wanted the 12 hour format which is what got me to rebuilding yours to use 12 hours.

I will not be able to as W10M Lockscreen API's have changed drastically. (Facebook Lockscreen api doesn't even work with W10M properly.)
I plan on fixing it, but it will take time.

Maybe weather can be implemented

Thinking about it, but I might just scrap this project since most of my time and energy is on AdBlockWP, I am not sure yet though, I will keep everyone updated.

You will need the Windows Phone Power tools to deploy as well as a FULLY interop unlock WITH all capabilities unlocked as well.

I am using windows phone power tool... And I have also introp unlocked my Lumia 730 by vcreg mathod.
Wppt gives error that package cannot be opened.

Try re-downloading the xap file, because I just redeployed it to my phone.
Please verify that you have full interop unlock

need an help to interop n unlock cap WP8.1

before some days extra+info get upadated WP10TP and also on Wp8.1. aftrer update we can't install extra+info to SDcard..now how to mod vcreg with extra+info.. for WP8.1 ..
any one can give me the list of cap. and path of cap_ so i will try to edit CAp_ with modded PDF 3. i think this might be worked

no luck with the windows application deployment tool, error 0x81030120
I believe this error is related to having interop capabilities in one of the libraries included in your XAP.
is there another deployer tha would work? (i already tested WPV xap deployer, also, no luck with that)

i'm not correct, maybe it's impossible to move e&i into sd, sorry

nah, tested both tools and nothing

I tried full FS access by patching an old version of CustomPFD to see if i could replace extras&info directly from phone memory.
I think some directories are hidden so i could not find the directory where the apps use to be installed.
However, i found a directory with the OEM apps (touch, extra&info, etc), but it seems that it's there only to be applied after a hard reset or something like that, so just replacing files wasn't enough. Extras&Info wasn't the only app with Interop Caps, but almost any app that is under settings has that cap.
So i unistalled touch settings and downloaded it from SD then i used MetroCommander to replace the SD files the old way (before CustomWPSystem was created, lol). Got nothing but an endless "Loading..." screen, but i guess i did something wrong.
But technically (someone correct me if i'm wrong) we can do Interop+Caps unlock using some other app from settings, right?
I'm pretty sure i've seen a settings app with a lot of capabilities in the manifest, not just InteropCapabilities, i don't remember exactly but it had something to do with SMS

Well , i think that we just have to remain with vanilla wp 8.1 until they fix wp10 annoying bugs, everytime i think i found a work around for a bug, there appear more bugs, my fault though, i chose the fast ring...

Now that Groove supports gapless playback, i'm considering going back to W10M (downgraded last week to WP8.1). But it's a hard choice, it sure has nice features but some bugs are just too annoying.
Did they fix the screenshots not appearing in Messenger/WA bug in 10549?

any updates on this? i have WP8.1 Update 2 and i'm having the same issues, not being able to install extras&info to SD card. i read somewhere on reddit (i think) that someone found a method that works currently, but searching around, i can't seem to find out the procedure..

not work .gives an error and not restart as like project astoria cabs..so it not work.
