Launcher question (Nova)

Anyone knows how to remove these lines that surrounds the entire page when you swipe between screens.
For some reasons, only the nexus 7 has it ..on my HTC sensation it doesn't show up

Hmm alright thanks! Cos I thought nova was based on stock launcher and stock launcher didn't had that

Try setting margins to NONE and changing the grid size just note what the grid default settings are if you change them you might lose some shortcuts or widgets they will be there they will be moved to where you can't see them.... On Apex launcher I have mine set to 6x8 portrait and landscape but I just always use landscape. In portrait 6x8 does look a little stretched. try like 5x7 or 4x6 or 5x5 whatever works for you.

Nova Settings>Desktop>Scroll Effect>Card Stack.

Well.. I searched the settings but in nova it doesn't exist.. this margin thing.

Yup that's an alternative but I'm quite bothered by card stack though, still prefer the animation less scroll effect

You said that you wanted the lines gone......that option took the line out. Maybe you should switch launchers.

Update nova to the latest beta from inside nova settings.

One clock, or search the play store?

Dashclock Widget. There are a ton of extensions. This is a must have with 4.2 lockscreen!

No.... with 4.2 you can add widgets to the native lock screen.

Just swipe to the right on the lock screen and there will be an add (plus) button.

Good point. I still use widget locker though because it lets you have more than one widget on the screen, like in OP's post. I can't see any way to do that with the native lock screen.

Dashclock is so cool but it doesn't work on the S4 if you want to use a pin or pattern lock as well.

That's Samsung mistake, block lockscreen widgets when you have a security lock.

Weather widget like this video?

The video had a view of the weather widget. It seems to move when they tilt it though. How does one activate this feature? @ 3.47

Prototype, maybe a feature in 4.4

That was Samsung's widget not lg. Just like the s4 but I can't remember if it moved when you tilt the phone. Had it for like a week. I know it did that animation when you went home or unlocked to the home screen.

That is indeed the built in weather widget out of the box, in order to have that animation you have to refresh the widget and if the weather is sunny then you will get the same animation in the video. I am using the international version D802, not sure if this is applicable on other variants.

Just woke up and it's sunny here. Hit refresh and it does the animation but only for a minute. Then you have to refresh again.
Probably a battery thing.

There is a check box to turn out on in lock screen long add you use the built in widget. If you guys allowed pictures in post I could show you. ..

Gotcha. Guess it only shows that option when swipe lock is active.

Its not Samsung widget and it clearly has a 3d effect different from the lock screen ani and the widget refresh ani

Voice typing?Resolved

What happened to voice typing? I factory resetted my phone and have lost it again. What gives? I used it very often!
How do I get it back?
Update: if you disable Google search, it also takes away the voice typing. I enabled Google search to test it and it appeared on my keyboard.

you didnt even tell us the keyboard you're using, or the rom
you havent told us how youve tried to fix the issue and what things youve tried didnt work

Sorry. I'm using the Google keyboard and the check box is greed out. It won't let me check it

i meant when the keyboard pops up its on the top right, also make sure ur settings in the main keyboard screen are ticked

It's not there...that's the problem. Look at the pic I attached. It was a third input method, Samsung keyboard, Google keyboard and voice typing.

try the new app "Voice Typing Keyboard" VTK... much better, no microphone button to push, just say "listen" or "spelling" when in text field and start dictation, can move cursor around, insert punctuation, symbols, do editing formatting etc, all with voice

Lookout mobile keeps re enabling itself

Is anyone having issues with lookout turning itself back on? I keep disabling it in the app manager but this is the 3rd time i have done this.

go to lookout settings then disable it and done

That only disables app scanning. I am talking about the app itself turning itself back on inside the app manager from a disabled state.

You can use this app to disable any bit of bloatware you have. I'm using it and I haven't had lookout come back. It's paid, but I find it an investment because I usually get Samsung devices only
