Deodex Xperia Z1 Compact by using this tool (instruction and download in the thread):

According to @jumika and @aroy11 this works without deodex on Z1 Compact as well so you can skip the deodexing part:

Hi!
There is a way for using this mod without deodexed rom. I use the "Xperia Xposed" Xposed module to do that.
Once it is installed (and enabled in xposed app) go into the application.
Than tap "System".
There enable the customization and check the "Super User Mode" checkbox.
After that reboot your phone.
That way you just need to install some apps.
So basically you just need to have "Super User Mode" whatever it means Sorry if i'm talking bullsh*t I'm not an android expert.

I don't think that switching the superusermod will deodex the rom. This mod requires both deodex and superusermod.

Sorry I'm not an expert in the topic. But i can tell you for sure that the above mentioned method is working for the camera mod presented in this topic. I have stock .757 and have working 4k and 120fps without deodexing.

Maybe it just requires deodex on Xperia Z1 Compact then. I will still leave it in the requirements as that's what the developers listed. They must have had their reasons
I have Z1 compact
If you search for "odexed" in the development thread you'll see positive feedbacks from preople using odexed rom.
Of course I understand why you put deodex in the requirements. I just wanted to let you know about an alternative way.

I have flashed SlimKat on my Z1 Compact. Can I still apply this patch?
Does it work with 4.3?
Edit: Only works for KitKat i relized.
Thank you so much for your post
At first I tried to install it without sucess, and thank to you, I've 4K video and Timeshift Video working well 4.4.2 (I wasn't deodex, now I am)
Thanks for guide, dead easy and seems to work fine so far - much appreciated
deodexing failed
just a warning..after creating the deodexed zip, I installed it via recovery menu..phone boots up, asks for pin, but doesnt start the launcher. I can't do anything except go to settings from the pull down menu..factory reset or wiping cache/dalvik doesnt work..guess I gotta flash my phone again =/

I don't think that's because of odexed. It's simply because the camera have to use faster shutter to capture more picture during the same time.

suggestions?
After my failed attempt at deodexing..I made a clean flash of my phone to .757 with root... I installed xperia xposed and activate the superuser, installed the 4k mod zip file through the recovery..and I have the options in the camera, 4k and timeshift..but when I select them, the camera goes black, and the error "camera not available" gets displayed. I can't use the camera until I reboot the phone. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to tackle this problem and what I could do in diagnosing why it apparently works for everyone but me?

Trying to get this done on SlimKat. Other thread told me to go search for xperiaz2's "stock z1 camera for all ROMs" but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone tell me what http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53360868&postcount=138 is referring to?
Hello Guys.
Thanks for this great addon for my z1 compact.
The installlation worked fine without deodexing.
but:
4K Video normal works as a charm. Clear picture, no stuttering.
4K with timeshift the video is lagging/stuttering, no clear picture.
Even the Video copy without the timeshifts i did.
Any ideas how to solve this?
its confusing me, because the normal 4K works fine.
edit: it was just vlc the problem, with Powerdvd 13/14 all is fine

I don't think its for CM11..
Superusermode is only for Sony software. It to bypass the signature feature or whatever it is

You can remove Xposed afterwards too and it will stick.

use xposed alpha 4 apk for controlling xposed modules

Framework installed, but not active!
Hi! I am using Yu Yureka running Android 5.1.1. I have rooted the device, flashed the arm64 version and installed the Xposed (3.0_alpha4) apk. The app however says "Xposed framework Version 86 is installed, but not active. Check log for details". Any solutions for that? The logs in the framework indicates an error saying no such file found. Anybody else having this problem?

An update: In other forums, I have found an advice to delete a file at root/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf (using a root explorer) and reboot. I find no file to delete there!
Space in the system seems to be the issue
Guys, I deleted a few useless system apps->removed the framework and rebooted->reinstalled the framework....and Xposed is active!
Well guys I dnt know if this is right place to post this..but this error is very usual for rooted phones and you are unable to login..well I faced it too so what I did was:
1) uninstall xposed framework (u can keep the modules ) just remove the xposed installer and framework
2) you can download the xposed framework uninstaller from the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
3)after uninstall..install Snapchat again from playstore and login..you will be able to login again
4) after you login..install xposed framework again and xposed installer..and reboot.
5) after installing..select all ur modules and yay..it will be working
Hope this is new thread and not an old..well I did research and found on a forum but not on xda so moderators u can delete or move it up to you.
