Hello everyone,
I am experiencing problems updating the BlissPop ROM on my SM-T530.
Could someone please tell me exactly what to do? I downloaded the update using BlissPop's menu, reboot into recovery, choose install, show him the downloaded zip file he starts working ... then I reboot and check the installed version ... no change.
What's the problem? What am I possibly doing wrong?
I hope someone can help me.
Thanx in advance!

In the last 5.1.1 BlissPop build, there was a problem where even if you were on the latest build it still notified you (erroneously) that you needed to update, when in fact the update it downloaded was the same exact build you were on. I believe this is the issue you are inquiring about

Oh that explains a whole lot ...
So you say I can ignore the update notice and simply wait for the next update to come.
Thank you very much for your quick reply!

Yea, i'll stick with a custom ROM instead of this oficial update (that [email protected]!)
They are so late that i'm sure SaberMod, BlissPop, etc are better optimized.
Has anyone confirmed this to work on the XT1039? I assume it wouldn't be possible due to different LTE bands?
EDIT: Comparing the bands, it seems like there's little to no difference between the XT1040 and the XT1039, I assume like the Falcon, we wouldn't be able to restore to an older firmware via fastboot if we flashed this
Congrats motorola, it's been just 6 damn months.

haha, cant belive i would still sit on kitkat if i would have to wait for the damn update... and then... there a bugs n whatnot for sure and you have to wait another year or two for fixes and in the meantime there is already android M or N released and so on...

Okay, so I took the risk and tried flashing the XT1040 firmware on my XT1039, I wouldn't do it unless you use your peregrine as a wifi only device

Yea, motorola took so long to bring it that i'm kind of glad as it made me try custom roms and the work all the teams make on the ROMs is amazing.
Now i'll always support them instead of motorola

anyone update to 5.1?

help please
Hello,
I took a captured OTA of a 5.1 Lollipop ROM and when I launch the update process, I also get an error, it says that the fingerprint is not the version expected. But I have the KXB21.14-L1.56 as mentioned in the error message.
But I have an other question, why flash the 4.4.3 instead of directly the 4.4.4 version of the ROM ?
Thank you.
Hello again,
Yesterday I could update my XT1039 to Lollipop 5.1 via OTA on a fresh install of a 4.4.4 KitKat version. I just had to go in Google Play and to update the Motorola update service.
After the update, I could see that the build number of the update was LPB23.13-17 and the System Version is 23.21.17, different from the 21.11.56 of the captured OTA given here, which gave me the error.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!

XT1524, sorry
Got this too but couldn't install it because my Bootloader is unlocked.
It says Fingerprint mismatch in recovery console log after it tries to install.
I forgot what exactly stopped it so i tried anyway LOL
Although mine is the XT1527 From Telus Canada CID 14
I captured the blur package too if someone knows how to patch it to install.
But.. i have Squid's kernel running and i am fairly certain that would over-write his kernel.
I posted here to let people know it's out.
I looked for a Firmware.zip for the version but couldn't find one.. yet.
Who ever is making them needs to do one up for the Telus version 24.71.4.en.ca
If anyone finds this post it !

Yes you can but you have to reflash whole stock firmware (the currently installed one) available for your device
It worked for me earlier when upgrading from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 then to 6.0
If you OTA update your device in the state it is now (that's twrp+squid kernel) it might end up hard-bricking the device
Sent from my Motorola XT1521 using XDA Labs

Yup.. i posted the wrong thing earlier.. it has nothing to do with the bootloader.
I was running Marshmallow on my XT1527 with the unlocked bootloader and Squid's TWRP + Kernel and SuperSU + Custom Bootlogo / Animation.
So what i did was restore all the stuff stock then the OTA update installed fine.
I already had the firmware from when i downloaded it here a year ago.
THEN..
I thought hey know what ? Since i already made a TWRP back up.. lets use it !
After the OTA update was back on i started putting the custom stuff back on..
then i went into TWRP and restored only the DATA partition.. bingo had all my app's + settings still
Still running great and stable and yeah it was December 2016 patch level.
No idea what volte is but i think it was just an update for security.
I am currently fighting with rooting this update.
I just installed this
XT1527_SURNIA_RETCA-TELUS_6.0_MPI24.71-4_cid14_subsidy-TELUS_CFC.xml.zip
( OTA after reflash to 6.0 )
I am putting my info and trials HERE
Thanks for the info. Mine didn't pop up the update, but checked and there it is.

Hi,
I have a Pace with stock english rom and have been disappointed at lack of updates to ROM or supporting app. However it looks as though I may have received an OTA update this morning, but not completely certain. I was syncing with the app when the watch screen went black/off, hasn't happened before. There was a pause of a few seconds then the A logo appeared, but none of the swirly stuff like at power up just a couple of spinning circles, then a message "optimising apps" and counting through the number of apps just like a typical android ota update. The version number still says 1.30n like before and I can't see any obvious changes. Has anyone else seen this??
If users can post date and ROM version on this thread whenever they receive an OTA update on their Pace (Pace stock only please) it might be helpful to others.
if you're on 1.3.0n ... there was no update
Thanks 1imortal.
OK, if not an update what did I see? Where did the "optimising apps" message come from?
When was 1.3.0n rolled out, is it recent?
A little more detail please would be helpful.
1.3.0n was the initial version that came on the US variant of the watch, the Amazfit Pace, and was not updated since it came out.
what you have seen is probably a launcher crash with an update of apps, i've seen this on the CN version as well few times on my watch as well.
currently there is no definite ETA of the US OTA update, there are a lot of users that eagerly wait for it.

Many thanks, most helpful, makes more sense now. Will rejoin the patient queue for firmware and app updates that should develop the watch from good to great!
1.3.1 just came out. Just updated - new and custom watch faces, looks good. Some new run modes and a few optimizations.

Guys, the problem is solved for more than a week now. It is described in the first post of the thread (red bold text)..

Hi,
You need to update the firmware.

That being said, I have problems with my OP5 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74461506&postcount=427), so maybe you should wait for a confirmation of someone else before proceeding ...

Hello community, and specifically to those with the model and build in the title.
After a few weeks of checking firmware finder, I discovered that it says it is now suitable and possible to update to B358.
I was on B357 until today and I can report that I updated to B358 just now with no problems at all. I installed the big file first(it's 1Gb+) and then the smaller file after that (a few hundred MB), again without issue. However with the second file it will complete 100% but then tell you there is another part to download. Just agree. It will do this 2 or 3 times and then will finally restart and install the package.
I have done and so far so good! :fingers-crossed:
Forgot to include proof....

No, but I have installed B359 though with no problems.
Dit it myself. There's a couple more updates available, like 359, 360, 361 and even 371. Have yet to test these though.
Anyway, it's nothing but security patches in the end. Don't think we're gonna get features updates anymore.
I think you're right about it only being security update patches from now on. I recently installed the b360 build. This pretty much confirms that the honor 5C and P9-lite will not be in line to receive an official upgrade to Oreo 8.0. Bit of a shame.
Hi guys,
I made a mess... I tried to update to B359 but then by mistake I flashed the wrong recovery So option was to flash full update.app I stored in microSD.
The problem is that that full update was an older version. Anyway now I still have build number B359 but other information refer to older firmware version I actually flashed!! For example security patch is still October!
So I downloaded full update to B357, flashed but again build is B359!!
Anyone experienced same issue? How can I solve?
UPDATE: solved by downloading and flashing an update called "update_data_full_NEM-L51_hw_eu.zip". After flashing this build number was correct!
Thanks!
