can anyone check their screen color, ive notice that there is a bit dark grey bar on the left side of the screen from top to the bottom. try to capture a pure white image and check if you have this also, but its hardly visible on colored wallpaper

I never really liked the dark theme that the nexus devices seem to have (black EVERYTHING). Is there any ROM that would give a light/white-colored theme? For example, instead of having the black bar for the on-screen buttons at the bottom, have it be white. Same with the status bar. The notification tray would have a white background and the system settings would have a white background. Etc.
who knows, we might even have that

Is there anyone can explain me why is there black color at the bottom on my homescreen like in the picture attached?
Is it because the color profile? If it is, could you please give me the profile to remove the black color?

If you mean the shadowy appearence(or white to black dimming or gradient or whatever) I think it is a kitkat feature and it is normal if it was pure white(in your case) you would not see navigation buttons in a white holo menu. But to be honest I would like to know if there is a mod or setting to adjust this because there is a bug with that gradient shadowy thing(if you try to press menu button and get into any app-for example settings- then try to return homescreen with back button-twice atleast-, you will notice nav and status bar is more transparent than normal if you push home button then it returns normal and it doesnt look good)
I was wondering if someone could make a mod to invert the colors in the settings menu for a stock based ROM like malladus the white with black lettering is ugly to look at I'd like a black background with white lettering
I'm on the last sw update and nav bar color is setted grey. On whatsapp the nav bar was grey but after I hid it and then picked it up again it turned black. Is black only in chat list page, in any other page or any other app is correctly grey. Is pretty strange. Any suggestion?
I have kept a black wallpaper on my S8, and the notification bar background shows some lightish shade of black. I cannot see anything on white or color wallpapers.
PS: The black wallpaper is pure black at the corners just a bit color in the middle. See the Screenshots
I thought I could see a light grey on my notification bar too on my s8+. I was using Action Launcher and had the notification bar to be transparent. Not sure why it wasn't completely transparent but it's very hard to see unless on a black background.
