You can flash every firmware made for G928F simply using Odin and without root, if you don't need it.
i.e.: if your phone is "vodafone" now (G928FXXS2AOK9-G928FVFG2AOJ3), ... you can flash Fance (Bouygues) version without any problems (G928FXXU2APA2-G928FBOG2AOL1).
But flashing Custom Recovery will flag your Knox counter from 0x0 to 0x1 and this breaks your warranty.

Hello
I purchased an S5 which was imported from Germany and it has Q Telecom branded firmware (it has Q Telecom apps, boot logos etc.) And I would like to flash a stock unbranded firmware with odin, will I trip Knox?
Also is there any method on unupdated S5s of obtaining Root only without tripping Knox? Like it was with Root de la Vega on Note 3 phones

No, flashing firmware with Odin doesn`t trip KNOX and for rooting look for Towelroot which doesn`t trip KNOX.
..
Thanks for your replies.
Ok towelroot worked fine for my German firmware but I still want an unbranded & rooted firmware while still having Knox 0x0.
I have Mobile Odin Pro will it work somehow without tripping Knox
Hello
Basically i own a Vodafone (uk) galaxy s5 with vodafone firmware, the phone is now unlocked to accept any sim and id like to root (without tripping knox or using odin, if i can id like to towel root then use mobile odin) and install Btu firmware, but i wondered if anyone can clarify if its possible?
heres my about phone info
Model No: SM-G900F
ANDROID VERSION 4.4.2
BASEBAND: G900FXXU1ANG8
many thanks if anyone would know the answer to this.
I don't have access to windows so i can only currently use towel root and mobile odin (if it works)
thanks guys
Hi guys im thinking to get a S7 Edge in the UK and its on EE network but sim-unlocked.
If i flash the BTU UK firmware on it, will it trip the Knox counter? And affect my samsung warranty?
Im thinking to flash BTU as it has less bloatware and making it carrier free would mean i receive updates sooner also. Please let me know. Thanks

I flashed BTU on my EVR S7 and knox is still 0x0, however the EE firmware doesn't come with much bloatware, just the myEE app and Lookout.
You're right though, updates do come through a lot quicker on BTU then EVR

I also have an EVR SGS7 Edge and would like to debrand with BTU. Is this easy to do?
I bought a rooted S7 edge from eBay that was originally purchased from Samsung... When I first tried to return it to stock via odin and stock BTU the flash failed..... I think I got confused with csc and csc home (which I still don't understand as all my previous sammobile downloads never had csc home file )... So I eventually got it to flash but ended up somehow on VIR which I think is virgin.... Which has the slowest updates known to mankind.
I'd love a stock BTU phone but don't want to lose my existing setup or semi brick it again. It's the csc and csc home thing I don't get.

You should be able to flash BTU without issue. It also has WiFi calling built in now so you don't have to have EE firmware for it.
Won't trip knox so long as you are flashing stock firmware in Odin.
I believe csc wipes data whereas csc_home doesn't.

Checking Various websites they say Android N firmware for UK (SM-G935F) is available so why am i not getting it?
What csc is your phone? Look through here http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=g935f
GALAXY S7 edge SM-G935F 22.12.2016 6.0.1 United Kingdom (BTU) G935FXXU1BPLB
Is your phone rooted or knox tripped?
Anyway your nougat is here http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=04F18B16DDF711E69215FA163EE8F90B
No its not rooted or Knox tripped
Many thanks for the link
I've read somewhere that samsung release it partially, so you must be out of luck, just wait or use odin and sammobile rom
If you are on beta like i was i had too revert back to mm on SmartSwitch to receive official nougat
