Hi,
I have a rather strange problem: since this morning, BT refuses to turn on. I've alreaddy reflashed the latest software version (N910FXXS1COK2_N910FOXA1COJ3_DBT), cleared cache and dalvik-cache, deleted cache and data of the bluetooth app and even deactivated all XPosed Modules, but nothing helped. I've recorded a catlog, maybe someone here can see what is preventing it to turn on. I don't really have any idea what could have been happened. I tried to make an backup with TitaniumBackup which seemd to have failed because I turned off the screen, because it had'nt backed up much about an hour later when I looked for it.
Ok, after wiping about everything in TWRP and reflashing firmware again, bluetooth is finally working. But does annyone know how this could be fixed the next time without wiping everything?
probably part of the bluetooth on the software side got screwed up.

I had the Gear S working and everything was fine. Today I discovered that Titanium Backup won't save to my external card so I went to etc/permissions/platform.xml and change something. And it could save after that. Then I realized that my data cycle is wrong so I managed to change that. Later today I noticed that my watch doesn't work so I looked and Bluetooth was disabled. When I try re-enabling it it says turning on and then goes off again. I tried rebooting clearing cache changing the platform.xml back but still cannot get it to work. Anyone knows what could be causing this? It was working perfectly fine until today.
Is it possible the "platform.xml" is corrupt or has an error in it? Do you have a backup of it to restore?

Yeah first thing I tried is restoring the things I've done. I've tried putting it in Airplane mode and pulling the battery for a couple of minutes still nothing :/
My Bluetooth does not turn on after restarting my phone. Ive tried deleting the bluetooth share cache, deleting cache in recovery, unpairing my car, disabling any new battery saving apps still it wont turn on unless I go in settings and manually turn it on.
Can I use some app to automatically toggle my bluetooth on? I downloaded tasker but dont know how to do this. Also used blue tooth auto connect from play store but it only turns on bluetooth when I open that app. I want to automate this process so my bluetooth is always on even after restarting.
Thanks
Anyone else having Bluetooth issues? Please help guys.
What rom?
I have also bluetooth issue now after restoring my LineageOS Rom (newest).
I also turned off my display lock for no issues on backing up
On stock 19s rom.
Same here.
Reflashed M4B30Z ROM after running Ressurection Remix for a while (full wipe) and now I have to manually switch Bluetooth on after every reboot.
Never had this problem while using the same version before.
Please help
Just got GS8+ took hours to fully transfer all data from GS7E and now this!!!
Everytime I reboot device all my previously paired device profiles get deleted.
Already Tried
-clearing the Bluetooth app cashe
-Clearing all app cashe partitions in boot menu
Really not looking to do a factory reset
Unfortunately you may have to. I had an issue somewhat like this (after restarting I'd loss all my wifi passwords) and I had to full factory reset to fix it. It was something regarding keystone (where secure things like passwords are stored) not being compatible or broken but I had been flashing different builds
How about setup smart switch to backup then restore pics and files? Smart switch over usb is many times faster and won't take as long
Did you root and/or install Xposed by any chance ?
Did not root or anything like this but ended up doing a factory reset and besides having to spend another few hours putting everything back to my liking everything is fine

Hey all,
Today I've noticed that Google assistent can't register any sound. I thought my microphone might be broken, but it seems to work just fine on other apps and on calls. I've Uninstalled the Google app updates, cleared the data and cache, cleared cache in oneplus recovery, rebooted, checked permissions, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?
Maybe try clean flashing whatever ROM you're on? I know, bit of an extreme solution but you've already tried the usual troubleshooting steps so I thought I'd suggest it!

I'm completely stock. Reflashing the whole rom and having to backup all data for this feels like a real pain in the *ss, but I guess I have no choice.. I might wait for the official Android 8 ROM to be released though. Thanks got your reply!
Well, I've reflashed several times now (including android o beta) but it is still not working. All Google services aren't registering any sound input, while my mic works fine. Any clues?
Edit: it does work with a Bluetooth headset, but not without.
Update: Still not fixed
I got a rooted LG V20 H918 still on nougat, I rooted almost a year ago with no problems. About 2 weeks ago, auto-rotate stopped working, I fixed it with a restart and about 3 days later it would stop working again and I'd use the same fix.
UNTIL, 2 or 3 days ago, it stopped working, a restart would't work and I searched the web all over trying every solution I could find and none worked. Then my phone got really hot and started restarting on its own every few minutes. sometimes its like a full restart and sometimes it feels like a soft reboot and much quicker. Everytime it would restart it would say "Android is upgrading 100%".
I then decided to go into TWRP and wipe the cache and dalvik cache, this was my SOLUTION. hurray! My phone took about 10 minutes to start after the dalvik cache wipe and Auto-rotate was finally working, my phone wasn't overheating, and everything was normal.
Until Today! It stopped working and restarting all over again I really don't want to have to keep wiping the cache and dalvik cache every 2 or 3 days.
Im thinking there is an app or something is stopping the gyroscope from working, so when i wipe the cache it temporarily works until it catches up again.
Any ideas on what I can do to find the culprit?
Edit #1: Cleared cache only in TWRP, didn't fix the problem. Just cleared dalvik cache waiting for reboot.
Edit #2: Just cleared Dalvik cache, still not working, now none of my solutions are working. Don't know what to do.
EDIT#3: I found my solution, the only reason I state it's temporary is because the last two things I did that fixed it only last a day or two. Although, I remember someone mentioning after they uninstalled nova launcher they never had a problem again. But I had Nova launcher forever and never had a problem, I think the problem for me started after I Installed the new version of Youtube vanced and micro G, so I disabled Nova launcher, vanced, and micro G. Restarted my phone and so far my auto-rotate works. Hopefully, this will be my permanent solution.
EDIT #4: Stopped working again.
TLDR: Found temp fixes, none work anymore. auto rotate don't work and phone restarts maybe every 5-15 min.
bump?
Interesting thread.
I have very similar problem with my G4.
Did you find solution for it?
I'm thinking of disabling gyroscope but don't know how!
