I'm not sure if its done before or talked about it here. I got echos rom... the S6 Edge version for Note 4 (910T) working on my note edge 915T for tmobile. I had to just modify or install one file....I forget but it literally super simple after many many black screens and ready to give up. Let me know mods if its okay to place instructions, don't wanna get banned
BTW everything works so far. And funny, the edge panel even works but I'm not 100% how. It comes out 2-3 when in sleep mode right after night clock mode then I can move it by hand. I believe that's how...still playing with it. Going to test theme store.
I tried linking PICS but I'm limited during my first 10 posts? Lol I've been downloading and lurking these forums for past couple months and now I register ha .

Btw, Theme store fully works too on Note Edge 915T here in Los Angeles using t-mobile. Going to test the edge panel. Let me know if u got any questions.

Oh cool! I was thinking this had to be done before and I'm not that slick lol. Yeah, thats what I did by accident...and basically just having the whatever happens towards the end.
I wonder if mixing parts, maybe these same parts minus the echo edge rom, would work for other note 4 roms?

Its only 100% stable on tmobile , verizon one is not stable and edge panel some time works some time its totally black ... Note 4 themes luckily work on Note Edge Tmobile (sometimes) but barely on Verizon network one. I dont know if its only me having issue on verizon note edge .

Oh weird. Did you try other options? Like I didn't quite do what the guy said on his post. I basically installed the v8 echo rom in twrp recovery. Then while still in recovery I then installed or flashed the BOD7 kernel by tek. Booted system, obviously the BOD7 kernel is a major battery drainer so then after testing stuff out like the theme store, I restarted into recovery and flashed nightly emotion r23 kernel... I believe the 915f version only because the 915T version is not working for some reason (glitch for the new r23 version that came out this month according to the message boards). Not sure what kernels you can try for Verizon sorry friend.
P.S need to get use to the keyboard. There is something quite annoying about it.... like the auto correct and not that it matters but it doesn't quite reach all the way to the edge of the right.
Oh and I miss the wifi calling. But hey now I'm just being picky...sorry agsin . Good luck, try installing with a stock kernel like I did. I'm sure BOD7 doesn't apply to you lol.
Ha, Im basically replying to myself so i can hit 10 messages mark and share pics. Not sure if i mention this but i was also able to flash the echo newer 5.1.1. 910F version of the rom but unfortunately couldnt make the signal sim card to work. Probably due to modem or bootloader. I was able to flash Maximum onedrive 6.4 though....pretty fast nice note 4 rom. Pics uploaded. The no sim band info one is of the echo 5.1 1 S8 for 910F from september of 2015.
I have successfully installed note 4 One drive N5 rom on my note edge with lollipop 5.1.1 baseband. Install the rom first without rebooting then install Mickey 5.1.1 kernel reboot phone wait 10mins for phone to come on if not battery pull the reboot. Everything is working except from s6 edge features. I'm going to try and install s6 edge t mobile rom and see what happens.
So far I have tested several N5 and confirm to work on my Note edge N915T from T-Mobile:
All of them need a Kernel from

I don't think so.
They work on SNAPDRAGON version only.

i know the T version has another partion layout so is there anyway to install a T rom on a 915F model

I tried them all for at least a couple of days and notice that Dr. Ketan's has the best battery performance of all, but it all depends on how many tweaks/apps you install.
want to try,,, but... is it in lollypop ?

Hey guys, I've bought a Galaxy Note Edge on SKT (SK Telecom) and it's quite amazing so far! I'm creating a thread since it's hard to find information about Korean devices here at XDA.
Be careful, though; as I've heard it costs 430,000 Korean Won if the Edge screen is broken! Thats about 400 dollars!

I also have this version...I prefer it over the Snapdragon version.
This is the layout I've spent the last 2 years perfecting so that I can one hand big phones like my G3 comfortably.
Nova launcher is rumored to come with support for edge at some point but my guess is it won't be before I end up moving on from this phone.
I will have to finally ditch this layout thanks to touchwiz but still very excited to have a "second screen" and I feel like a dedicated side panel might open up some more efficient layout.
The dream would be have this layout along with edge support that was also easily customizable. Nova makes it happen!

Is this same in other countries phones too ?
Will this be auto ungrey and be allow to be select if I go over to another country ( I have oversea data roaming enabled)
Thanks
Hi,I'm actually in Vietnam and mine is not grey... But I can't tell you if it is because I'm in another country or because one of the modification I did on my rom!

How did you remove the Korean text on your phone dealer? Can you please share?
Hi,
I used 4 files from N910C to replace those of N915S...
SecTeleService.apk
SecContacts_Note.apk
SecContactsProvider.apk
SecDownloadProvider.apk
I extracted everything using ArchiKitchen...
I also decompile SecSettings.apk from N910C and change files of N915S before recompile using apktool.
But between us, the most difficult was to find the way to recuperate icon G, E, H and H+ instead of 3G (korean use only 3G icon!).... I still don't know if icon LTE/4G works because, here, in Vietnam we don't have it...
I made my own new rom... But It is difficult for me to share it, because firstly, I used work of lot of people (most of xda) and cannot give credit to them (I don't remember where I took all information). Secondly because I did it for my personnal use and I don't know if there is some bug!

I'm thinking of rooting it since I got it activated now.

I would like to hear the answer as well...
Earlier this year when I was using the Samsung G906S (Galaxy S 5) there was a batch file created to remove the Korean Text from the dialer.
Can a similar thing be created for the Galaxy Note Edge N915S?

EDIT1: Sorry, got impatient (want to get back to kernel). Downloaded the whole N910 firmware and did it myself, testing now. haven't replaced any pngs though. Will report in this post. Lets see if any FC ..........
Edit2: All works well, BUT, cannot get moile data. APN is good and settings etc. Toggle switches,, no data. Will try full system wipe and flash zip immediatley after ROM
Edit3: Forgot to mention I used N910CXXU1ANK5 apk's. Still no good after full wipe. Tried also with new files inside full ROM install and setup. Checked APN etc and with the various network types ie GSM only >> LTE.... auto
What exact firmware did you extract the files from ?

Relax and don't expect that much
MM must require new bootloader and likely we can not expect using AT&T bootloader on out international variant (Otherwise we have MM for N920T since months now)
Also there is obstacle in development till samsung release new source code otherwise PA* firmware don't allow old recovery/kernel on base bootloader.
As an AT&T customer using an international Note 5 (920i), I'm completely shocked that AT&T has even begun beta testing this before July of this year. In truth, based on AT&T's track record, I wouldn't expect their note5 variant to official receive "M" until at least October - around the same time as Verizon customers.
Hopefully someone can pull the image and we can flash it!

What makes you think that TW is using less memory? There are a LOT of misconceptions about memory use in android, and having more "free" memory is usually a BAD thing (as it means things are getting needlessly terminated.)
Before the update, the TW launcher was using around 130 MB according to "Running services", after it's using around 33 MB. The Samsung keyboard was using around 60MB before and 20 MB after.

I was on beta tester stage so i tested b1 ( 6.0 ) & b2 ( 6.0.1 )
Now ::
U can run any n5 mm fw on ur n5 even the usa one but u need at least mm bootloader & kernel then definitely u can install it on ur n5 , yesterday play with official mm for s6e korean one & just got it working on my international one by simply on i got from there system then flash it with beta bl & kernel & booted normally ..
So if u have bl & kernel of mm then u can install it other this just don't waste ur time guy's ...

I wanted to flash something new after trying all MM roms on my note 5 920G. A small thought ateuck to my mind to flash s6E+ rom to see what would happen. I downloaded the rom took all my backups and i was ready to flash. I was also scared knowing that maximum it would just aoft brick the device that is that is what max could happen to my lovely note 5.
Made sure modem and boot filea are not inside the rom zip, Pushed the rom performed nand backup, flashed the rom and flashed the sky high kernel for note 5. Now it was time to revoot the device. My heart was pumping to see what would happen kept my fingers crosses and wanted the device to bootup.
To my surprise first boot was bootloop and it aut rebooted and i waited paite tly for 10mins. After that i saw welcome screen and j was ery happy that s6e+ roms are working fine.
Below are few screenshots.

I firstly needed to use a N920C kernel for the soft keys to function correctly, for the Spen features you required the Air command and Spen Apks and libs. The firmware of the two devices are almost identical so the features activate automatically after that. However I haven't tried it on Marshmallow.

Hi All,
I am facing issue of signal loss in my brand new NOTE FE SM-N935F/DS and i am not sure if its due to update from Nougat 7.1.1 to Oreo 8.0.
because as soon as I opened the box after finishing with the initial settings I received update of Oreo 8 which I gladly did that. Unfortunately ever since I am facing this signal loss issue in all Technologies LTE/3G/2G
The Signal reception keeps fluctuating at times I have signal but after a while again same issue persists. It is really heart breaker as all the other features of the phone are working absolutely fine but main reason of phone is to receive calls which I am unable to do so.
Therefore I was thinking maybe if its a bug in new Oreo 8.0 so better try going back to Nougat 7.1.1
As I am new at this Please share the links from where to download genuine Samsung Note 7.1.1 firmware with step by step procedure as how to downgrade it to Nougat 7.1.1 or 7.0 which is bug free would be great of you.

because as soon as I opened the box after finishing with the initial settings I received update of Oreo 8 which I gladly did that.

You can downgrade using Odin. Find the Last Nougat Firmware from Samfirmware and load it up on Odin.
If you're new to flashing, modding, Watch a few YouTube Videos.
Did the issue fixed after you downgrade to nougat?.
I have same issue here on mobile network
You cant flash back to nougat, the BL version updated and samsung has blocked down grading it seems.
I cant even flash back to the July update from october , ive had LTE issues on the october update similar to the OP. But i can have fulls bars on LTE and get download speeds of 5 mbps and it should be well over 50 here and it was on the previous update

This is really suck. What's your workaround for this issue? And aslo in my case the phone often showing no bar specially during stand by mode. Has the same happened in your case?

No I have full bars just really slow speeds.
Got another update last weekend which made things work better, they dont typically push out updates back to back so they may have been trying to fix it

OP is still on binary 2 (according to screenshot). So downgrade to latest Nougat firmware is still possible. Only from binary 3 or 4 you cannot downgrade anymore.

Dumb question:
Where do I find which binary I am on? I'm on firmware BRK2 on a new used F/DS
@koreanschoolkid N935FXXS4BRK2 -> XXS4 -> binary 4.
I think it is also shown when you boot into recovery.

Thank you for the info. Unhappy news but at least I can put my dreams to rest now.
@koreanschoolkid why you wanna downgrade to Nougat? Upgrade to Pie, it is much improved!

No doubt. I tried out the s10 and it was quite slick. I'm one of those weird luddites who saves apk out of fear of a bad ui change and thinks that 4.x was the pinnacle of android design.
Been fighting a losing battle against the future for years
@koreanschoolkid I found Marshmallow design much better. However, it's not only the design that changed. All what's going on in the background got much better. Yes, rooting now is no fun anymore, which is unfortunate. I really can only recommend to upgrade to Pie on NoteFE.

Oh gosh. I have a N935K on Android 7 now but the darn thing can't make phone calls. Hooks into T-Mobile LTE just fine and I can hear the other guy but the other guy can't hear me. No winning for me it seems
I truly wish to downgrade from P to O coz I do rely a lot on split screen features which have been dumbed down on the P. I never knew P sucked really hard due to this. Also, the camera UI is too much like iPhones, I hate to swipe between photo and video mode. I've seen my other family members making mistakes due to this on their phones.
If you upgrade to the version of Pie with S4 bootloader you can go back to Oreo. If you went to S5 bootloader you are stuck on Pie. Check last 6 characters of your build number if it starts with U5 or S5 then there's no way back to Oreo.

So I just bought a used Galaxy s10 Plus on eBay. I was getting amazing battery life and great SOT but I was forced to download Android 11 by force update and now my SOT has gone down almost 2.5 hours from when it was previously running on Android 10. I despise having to deal with these issues even though its a used phone. On the SamMobile website I found the correct PDA G975U1UES5GUD1 but I can't find the CSC code on my phone and I am afraid I will flash the wrong firmware and damage the phone.
How can I Find the CSC code on my phone? The device is been used on Verizon prepaid via Red Pocket Mobile and its Factory GSM and CDMA unlocked. I would really appreciate any help I can get with this.
Thank you so much in advance.
Hello there, you are talking about the consumer software customization code right?

If you are you can find it by dialing *#1234# on the dial app. But i think it is VZW since you've said the carrier is Verizon.

You won't damage your phone if they mismatch, probably only carrier settings would break
But the link I gave according to that you are having Verizon as the carrier and you are living in the US when you got force OTA update then it’ll match.
That's if you can go back.
Doesn't 11 update the boot loader version too?
Well yeah now that you mention it probably.
Hmm, but there should be a way of degrading the software even so.

If he uses Odin he can downgrade fine enough,
Unfortunately, I think he'll lose his data though.
I haven't downgraded from One UI 3.0 before since I only got a A21s.

I'm still running Pie. It's what I've been seeing here about the 11 update updating the boot loader too. Maybe that's OTA upgrades only.
Not a concern of mine though.
Data loss is a given... at least be prepared for it.
Yeah, I agree since I'm still running 10 Idk really about bootloader changes from 10-11.
But if that's the case then Its probably impossible to downgrade without getting a bricked phone.
Doublecheck the bootloader version code of both versions of android so you don't brick your phone.
This is starting to sound too risky I do appreciate everyones help on this post honestly but at this point I am not going to risk messing up a $330 phone. But thank you all for making things clear.

Well, you can wait for the fix then. Maybe Samsung will release a fix to solve that issue

Yeah hopefully thank you for your help tho. Appreciate it.
No problem, but if the kernel hasn't changed the ROM can be downgraded. If it has you can just take it to Samsung and ask them to downgrade for you.
My friend did that.
