Screen cast not work, why?

All roms based on 4.4 AOSP screen cast not work, only roms based on stock (or own stock) work, why is it so difficult to adjust this? No rom based on stock with good customizations too, why not?

I tried, none has come to rule with solution. Just left a new AOSP version, I'm hoping that has solved this problem

I just put the new rastakat (new AOSP build) and it worked!

For me rastakat is the only ROM where screen cast is working I don't know what's the problem for all other developers but rastakat is the proof that it will work on aosp ROMs so what's the problem xd

I just realized that too, unfortunately it seems that the developers are not giving too much attention to this!

There is always an alternative to screencast, if you don't mind paying a few bucks, SCR Pro is pretty good, and work flawlessly on my N4

The plsx now works too (copied the files from rastakat), but no other developer has made these adjustments. Unfortunately I can not do manually

i'd like to help i can be the tester

If you cant find anyone i might be interested but could you give a little bit of info on the rom? Like is it Slim base ? Core features? I don't need major details but just a general idea.

Can't post a rom I never try on this phone, if something goes wrong and don't boot its hard with too many people having the ROM, not all read the op and all trhead for instruction and issues. When the testers confirm its good the ROM will be posted

Depends on User preferences.
I prefer Google stock UI + Gapps so I went for CM13 by Team Superluminal.
