After scanning through the play store to see if I could find an app for multi-window that didn't require exposed(yes, I am aware it does) I came accross an app that is used to enable and disable multi-window on the s6 and its siblings. I used it and had this come into my quick settings?? Is there a way we can actually get this working, as it seems it has some basic level of support for multi window? I have no idea how to post screenshots on mobile but if you can help me with that I'll post some. Samsung Galaxy A3 - SM-A300FU
Bro is multi window available in Samsung A3 6 ive searched everywhere in the phone .....but didn't found tried many apps but not working...... Any suggestions.....
---------- Post added at 06:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:15 PM ----------
But split screen (multi window) is there in A5 and A7 I've checked but even after updating my A3 to nougat I didn't got the split screen........
It isn't in the default A3-6 Nougat but there are many custom ROMs here that you can install with multiwindow enabled. Try Advanced 3 ROM, or, even better, Revolution OS for A310-x.
There are also lots of MM versions with MW ported, again, Adv 3 and ENIGMA v1-v8, to name a couple.
If you don't want to install a custom ROM for any reason, try an app called Taskbar, available on the Play Store, it uses your Recent Apps window space as a multiwindow staging area that you can customise very nicely, without root on Lollipop and above. Accessibility service is required.
From my A310f using Revolution OS v3.1...

First of all I love MIUI8 because of the features like
second-space,
rolling screenshot,
app duplication,
mi drop,
lock screen wallpapers etc.
Also, I love marshmallow because of the integration of internal memory with SD card(Since the internal memory is 4GB for A6000).
When will we get whole the features in a single ROM dear developers?
MIUI8 based on marshmallows
K but... reduce icon size of this ROM then some slow performance
There are constantly new updates available for miui8 for our device but u guys never get satisfied so if u want the ROM go and port it urself all devs are busy and there are already miui6 7 8 available use it with phantom kernel and stop demanding.......

And its not that because u want it devs will start working on it they also have their lives studies families so I think u can understand
Latest build won't works. Something is wrong with the updater binary/ script
I dont think its possible yet.Our miui 8 builds are probably ported from redmi 2 and currently the highest version of miui that it supports is miui 8 based on 5.1.1 ,unless it gets updated to a 6.0.1 base its unlikely to see a port in future, since there isnt where to port it from.
Does anyone know if Xposed Framework is working on S8 i found this article:
https://www.gizdev.com/install-xposed-framework-on-android-nougat/
and theres the option on Magisk to install it
Xposed wasn't available for Nougat until today (revo89 announced it here). Don't **** with it yet, the top "known issue" for Samsung devices is bootloops, as seen in the announcement thread, and me saying it's available doesn't mean it's fixed (I really don't know if it is or not -- anyone know?)
Yeah it works.
Things work better on aosp based roms rather than touchwiz based roms

with AMBASADII ROM 1.5 and have no problems with stability, power drain oder lags.
Ok, i use only 4 modules and a module for remap the volume keys (I dont know which excatly) generate a boot loop.
I have the SM-G950F model.
TMobile s8 Snapdragon and this version doesn't reset everything in gravitybox N like purify version.
stupid question, I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S8 Rooted Sprint. Will Xposed work on my device? If so where do i download the files to install it in? I don't know which zip to download and I don't want to bootloop. I have asked for days but not a single person has replied or helped me

I have a successfully rooted Samsung Galaxy S8 Stock for Sprint. Please note that this is NOT S8+ BUT simple S8.
1) WIll Xposed Work on my Device?
2) Where and which files do I download to make it work?
3) Do i need to Deodex my System? I worked so hard to get root and I dont want to do that
4) can someone please answer me?
I'm on T-Mobile S8 (bare, not a plus nor an active), Xposed does work correctly. Check my previous post in this thread for two links. You should find your way to the APK. Just install that guy, nothing fancy needed beyond root, which you said you have.
I will note that not much is available for Xposed on Nougat Samsung devices. Maybe some Adblocks and a couple minor things, but I'll be upgrading to Oreo as soon as I can figure out how to get rooted Oreo on my S8.

Hi, I have the samsung galaxy s7 edge SM935F with LineageOS 15.1, it works on my device but I have problems with waking it, I have to press the buttons multiple times in order to wake it up, or I have just black screen otherwise and it's frustrating.

This is stupid and pointless.
You will burn battery life like hell.
Always On only works on OLED screens;: It doesnt work on LCDs (like the Oneplus One has)

OmniROM Android Pie Alpha 2 (OpenKirin rom)
Hello, I do not know if it could be said that this is the best rom for the huawei p smart but I wanted to do a little contribution, yesterday I installed the OmniROM Pie Alpha 2 rom of the OpenKirin page (just enter the uscando page in google Openkirin and you enter the downloads section) and to my surprise the battery had an incrible increase going from offering me a maximum of 4 hours of screen to 7 hours and 15% of ateria in both cases. I hope and if they try it will work just as well as I do if alpha being the only big problem that I have detected in my device (huawei p smart Fig-lx3) is the camera because the modes portrait, wide aperture and photo with movement they do not work. those are the failures that I have detected there, everything else working very well.
i agree albert I'm also on OmniRom ...i installed a Gcam mod which is working well ...camera (stock ) is giving me problems .
I don't know what to say... Im on OmniRom beta 3.1. Rom is great. I've always been a stock aosp lover but i think it still needs fixes. Ram is 74% used, battery drops faster (than stock). These are the only problems i found but in everyday use you might find those annoying. My opinion is that the best solution for an unlocked P smart is Stock EMUI 8.0 rooted with magisk so you can add your favorite modules.
hello everyone
i need best stable rom for lg gpad 7 v410
i have 4.4.2 stock. i rooted it and than unroot again but never give me OTA update
i need stable best rom for v410
can anyone help me?
I've just started going through the motions of rooting, flashing a custom recovery, and finding a ROM for my daughter's (4 year old) v410 LG G Pad 7 too. I started with the stock Android Kit Kat ROM 4.4.2 on the device of course and then updated to 5.0.2 when it was available. The device (with only 1 gb RAM) slowed to a crawl and she's been complaining about the device's speed for over a year. There is a custom build of Lineage OS 14.1 but it's been universally acclaimed as too slow. Seems there are several versions of CandyROM Five and Six floating around which are Android Marshmallow 6 and Nougat 7.1 based. I'm going to try the latest Candy Six ROM, the latest I can find from December 2016 and see how that goes. Honestly, the most stable is probably the original stock 4.4.2 though I'd take the occasional crash to get this device more up to date to it would be useful for a couple of more years.

Oh, and be sure you read this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787067&postcount=699 to get a one-stop-fix to flash if you return the device to stock Kit Kat. The attached .zip fix there will let you avoid a lot of headache in adb trying to repartition after you flash the beta recovery image .kdz file.

I couldn't get any of the Nougat 7.1. Candy ROMS I'd found to load without corruption so I'm going to run the LineageOS 14.1 image for a few days. So far, it's a bit slow but no more than I'd expect with a device with only 1 gb RAM and a Snapdragon 400. If nothing changes, I'll stick with this ROM until it's badly out of date since there doesn't seem to be anything newer available.
CrDroid is by far the best and most stable rom for this device. For some reason I never see it even mentioned. It's based on Lineage and Android 7.1.2, and has a massive amount of built in customization. It was also released at the end of 2018, making it the newest Rom available to my knowledge. Go to androidfilehost.com and download it from there.

Rom will install, but doesn't come with gapps, and has wifi connectivity issues. Tried installing gapps arm-v7.1, but it will get the tablet stuck at welcome screen. Won't let you start fresh or restore from previous device. Unless I'm doing something wrong - open to ideas

I tried again after completely wiping the system, and installed rom and gapps at the same time. It worked in that I got through the welcome screen, but am still having wifi connectivity issues. Though I am trying to connect to wifi at work, which requires login. It will not direct to the login site.
Edit: Used phone as hotspot, had trouble with the gapps mini package - didnt seem to have google play services/google services framework so couldn't set up google accounts. Went back again and used Beans Full gapps - up and running.

My wifi is working at home. My only issue is trying to get the carrier unlock so I can use my t-mobile sim. But I think that requires me contacting AT&T.

I hadn't tried CrDroid on the v410 as I pretty much excluded anything that wasn't newer than 2018 in my recent searches. I've had wifi connectivity issues with the v410 on every ROM, but the one I've been using (or at least my daughter) has been unable to automatically connected to wifi. It always has to be toggled manually. Rather annoying and bad for my data plan.
Speaking of the LG v410 though, there's a new ROM for the v410 that I just discovered and wanted to post it so others can take a look. I don't have time at the minute to check it out, but it's seemingly based on Android 7 Nougat and might be better than what we've got at the moment: https://tmp.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=299916 I'll post something about it as soon as I have time to test it out.
That's the new "Googleless" e/ operating system created by one of the founding developers of Lineage OS. It's supposed to revolutionize Android in a sense from my understanding, and possibly be the next big operating system. You can actually purchase refurbished phones Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy s8 and more pre-installed with this OS on it. Is very quick and it works extremely well on The V410 from my experience, but it takes a lot of getting used to. It's pre-installed with gmscore to get around Google, and contains a lot of security and privacy features. The launcher itself is extremely different, and goes by the name of Bliss launcher. It's extremely lightweight and I see huge potential in it, but it could be potentially frustrating for your daughter if she is used to relying on Google. It's based off of 7.1.2, and I would suggest trying it out just to experience it and see what you think for a bit, as it's a very quick flash and throwing magisk on it is a breeze. I know exactly what you're talking about with the Wi-Fi issues. It seems to plague every ROM for this tablet except for the lollipop ROMs like Tesla. As for this new OS, I've had no wi-fi issues whatsoever. The interface is actually perfect for a tablet! Of course you can still run Google apps on it if you choose, which I am in the process of trying out currently. I flashed this rom a couple weeks ago and it was a huge and very pleasant surprise when the boot screen appeared, but I couldn't help but take a shot at flashing the stock 4.4.2 pre-rooted ROM back to my g pad 4 a short while because I found myself in a scenario where I needed to use the infrared remote.. if you haven't heard of it already, look up E/ OS and take a look at what it has to offer! I desperately been searching for a lineage 15 ROM with no luck.

You can bypass the welcome screen by tapping each corner of the display clockwise until it Skips the initial setup, then go back and enter in any info necessary. You don't have to do it very quickly but sometimes it takes a little while and some patience to get it to work.
---------- Post added at 06:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:04 AM ----------
Side note.. I found that using magisk and flashing FDE.AI , along with the low ram enabler module which you have to search for because it is no longer in the magisk repo " AKA Android go Edition enabler" solves most of the lag issues if not all of them on this tablet.
I've come to realize after flashing every ROM I can find multiple times on my v410, that the newer android builds are just too slow for this tablet no matter what. After a fresh install, they're mostly all quick, but it doesn't take much to slow them down. Ground Zero Roms are very well built even though there are no newer builds. Tesla High Voltage is very quick and stable with no WiFi issues. Tipsy is a slimmed down version and works well but I like the features of Tesla much more. Validus is awesome but there's a couple bugs I haven't figured out yet. It comes with both Trebuchet and Nova launcher preinstalled, has a really nice dark theme and very badass boot and shutdown animations, a keyboard that adapts in color and transparency based on the page loaded, and various visual options. Using Omniswitch for recents will cause a crash sometimes which I haven't figured out, but the regular navbar can be changed in height, and various buttons can be added and icons changed. I prefer to turn the navbar off and the Pie navigation on. Systemless Xposed causes settings to crash on Validus, and so does Lucky Patcher. If I can get these things figured out, this would be my preferred daily use ROM, but out of the box I think Tesla holds up in the long run compared to everything I've tried. It just needs a few updates due to the older android version, the only necessary one in my experience is the browser and webview. Although they are larger in size, Bromite browser and webview are the quickest and most stable. The difference is so large that it is impossible to go unnoticed. I can not get Bromite webview to flash through Magisk however, but the apk installs with no hiccups. Kernel Auditor comes built in as well.
Thanks for the info and link to the unofficial E/OS. I thought it was just another boot-looping dead end when I flashed it via TWRP but I went back into TWRP and wiped the dalvik cache...viola, it booted right into a first time script.
Pros: this is fast. the tablet is so much more usable now. It has some good built in apps and the app store seems to connect directly into the google play store, so I was installing regular android apps right away. The built in maps is surprisingly useful. It has a good navigation feature that is like a streamlined google maps nav. I like the privacy aspects. While I was tempted to link to my google account, I might prefer to leave it unlinked. with a 4g sim card, this would be a great device for traveling abroad and I'd be less paranoid connecting to unfamiliar wifi or cell networks. With a couple of movies and ebooks loaded on a 200gig microSD card, it would make a great offline device as well.
Cons: I still have the same wifi issues that the lineage OS and Cyanogen mod builds had. I have to reconnect to wifi every time the tablet wakes up. Considering the privacy in traveling use case, though, this could be considered an advantage.
Now I regret canceling the extra Tmobile line that the gpad used to be on. Maybe I'll catch another add a line free promo.

It may not matter. I literally want this device to do one thing only -- act as a Sonos front end -- and it appears I can only choose to either have broken wifi or too-old an android version.
