Simple question for some users of this device & apps.
I know Huawei have issues with many apps notifications when in standby, mainly those using google services to handle it as original emui built around no google services fo rchina.
so does facebook & line work good ?

Hi all, can you help me? I have just bought this device after a Note 3 and a Xperia Z2 and I am having problems with my battery life, possibly due to a process called "App Android Core".
The problem
Simply I can get a decent battery life... I can't get nothing more that 2-2,5 hours SOT. I know that is not normal. I think that the problem is a process that is called "App Android Core" . It is always in the first two places in battery consumption with as many time of process usage as Android System. In other Note 4 this process does not even appear in the statistics!
I have seen that this process is responsible for "logs provider, address book, user dictionary and contacts memory". I have thought that these may be related to Samsung syncs and I disabled it (though I couldn't delete Samsung account).
My data
I updated to official lollipop (ITV BOC5) the first day. Phone not rooted, I use Greenify.
2 gmail accounts, one hotmail with gmail app, one exchange with samsung email, one exchange with outlook; whatsapp, 2 twitter, instagram, facebook and skype.
I have Android wear with some apps for my Sony SW3.
What I have already done
I removed wifi network scan, I disabled the pen detection, put one of the exchange accounts in manual, brightness is on automatic 4.
Any suggestions?
I used to have issues wither User Daemon. Can you check your GPS devices battery usage? It's under "location" in the settings. I used to get 15 hours with light light light use. And now, since I disabled that widget and stopped that process (no root required) I get 2 days with my light usage or 4-6 hours of SoT in 1 day.

hi
first off ,
if phone is not rooted then it can be quite fustrating to pinpoint culprits !..........,as you don't have access to run the correct battery apps to id wakelocks etc ( eg BetterBatterystats ..)
( i have a N910F Snap ,rooted and currently on....... BOC5 (LOLLIPOP ) My battery standby and usage is acceptable (no problems ) No " unnecessary "wakelocks or battery drainers.
From what i noticed in your list of apps above and what i read on XDA forums , i have seen members complaining about Facebook etc ....been a battery drainer ? Is you location enabled ? Your syncing/push of emails ? i am also sure that apps like Skype etc will have effect on your battery .Having your data enabled , most of the time ...?
good luck
Hi, my biggest problem is related to that process. I have tried to format and reinstall and for half a day that process has disappeared. Now it is back again, it is rekated to the address book and maybe to some accounts synced with the address book. I have noticed it has come back after I have selected "personal view" into the address book. Now I have removed this view and syncing of linkedin and facebook
As the title i don't receive notification from almost every app except whatsapp, tried to lock them in memory give them all permission etc. still miss them until i open them like gmail facebook etc, please any help is appreciated or i have to sell this wonderful smartphone
Meizu pro 5 latest beta firmware.
Hi,
I would check your "security" application is not denying app permissions first.
If nothing else works you could try factory resetting the phone? (As long as you back your stuff up or don't mind loosing it)
I am using a Meizu Pro 5 as well and am having no problems.

I think you have to go to the Security app/ Power/App Management and there allow the apps that you want to receive notifications from.
Flyme autoclose background apps when the phone goes standby by default only few apps are allow
this worked for me…
you need to give permission to work in the sleep mode for google play service and google service framework, and the actual applications which require notification to the supplied”
Security app>Power>App management> add google play service, google service framework + applications needed (gmail, messenger, whatsapp etc.)

hi
I have been using my Note 4 N910 h for more than one year and everything was perfect despite this annoying google service battery draining issue that i believe many are facing as well ..... it drains cellphone's battery as hell no matter what you do .
i installed Greenify and activated experimental features to be able to greenify system application including this bloody one , but i wasn't able to find it among them ..... why
any idea how to find and greenify it ? is there any other way to prevent it from draining the battery
thanks in advance
This is total guesswork, but I think "Greenifying" Google Play Services might F up your phone.
That's why it's not included on the list.
You could "App Settings" (Xposed app) and stop Google Play Services from starting up when your phone starts, but just have Nandroid backup ready.
If you look at the battery usage settings for Google Play Services, it shows the following as included packages:
Google Services Framework, Google Backup Transport, Google Account Manager and Google Play Services.
Some of those can be selected in Greenify. I'm not sure would happen if you selected them though.
Again more guesswork, are you syncing (lots of) data frequently via your Google account?
i.e. contacts, calendar, apps etc
This might fall under Google Backup Transport or Google Account Manager, which in turn falls under Google Play Services.
I denied all the stupid permissions it needed. There's an xposed module called Xprivacy, you can deny many permissions using that like keep awake and stuff. Helps, but don't mess with it that much. I don't. The guy up me is making a good point. Have a nandroid backup.
I know that Facebook for Android isn't the best app from Google play, but I have a very active Facebook page and I need to recieve notifications all the time. The problem is, Facebook and messenger take up 0.5gb of ram just for being idle and I really don't like that.
I have tried using metal for Facebook and Twitter but it seems like I can't recieve any notifications - I have the auto refresh set to 5 mins but nothing happens.
Do you think Facebook and messenger on s7 is a problem like on other Android phones and I need to find an alternative or I should just keep them there if I need them?
I've had many issues with facebook app and finally after draining my battery 60% over night I uninstalled it.
mybe you have battery saver options set to disable facebook.
I configured my fb account to send me mails if there are some messages or events.

Facebook and messenger eat a lot of resources in some users, including me. So, you can use MaterialF-book. little app with little ram usage
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) which was recently updated from Marshmallow.
The problem I have is with push notifications, whilst I can get notifications, for example with Gmail, AquaMail, Outlook, Messenger, WhatsApp etc., all these work perfectly well.
However, when I use, for example, BBC News, Euronews, DW (Deutsche Welle), RT (Russia Today), France 24 etc., no push notifications come through, despite all the app having push notifications selected.
In addition, all the apps have notifications "allowed" and also in settings / apps / special access / optimise battery usage, these apps have been added to those not optimized.
Also I have used a Push Notification Tester, from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.firstrowria.pushnotificationtester&hl=en which says the phone can receive push notifications without any problems.
If anyone can assist me with this (I did not have a problem before updating to Nougat), I will be eternally grateful!
