Stock rom file is zip format, how can flash it without recovery mode?
I did use many recovery.img via flashify & fastboot but not work. Somehow if I turn off my phone then connect to PC and then press power + vol-up, my PC has sound like 'usb is connected' and when I press power again my phone turn into battery charge display and my pc sound like 'usb is disconnected'.
Extract recovery.img from YOUR ! stock rom and try to flash it with Rashr app

try to install philz recovery using odin if that doesn't work reinstall the stock firmware via odin & then root the phone again but this time use philz recovery to root the phone....
Hello. Today I tried to install TWRP recovery on my s3 neo following this guide (using method 2). My pc recognizes the phone and odin does it too, I installed the recovery with odin and odin says "passed" but when I try to reboot in recovery mode the stock recovery is intalled. Any suggestions?
Uncheck auto reboot in odin and after pass disconnect the phone and pull out the battery and then try to boot into twrp.

If you are in download mode why don't you just flash the recovery .. download the TWRP .tar file and flash it via odin

Bro, I have done flashing the .tar file. And the phone works normally but it doesn't open recovery mode. Whenever I try to boot into recovery mode, it says " cant do normal boot " and goes to download mode.
Ok that's right .. in your first post you wrote "want to flash"
Anyhow have you tried flashing some other recovery like CWM and then again flash TWRP. You should redownload TWRP tar file again.
Please don't click any other option in odin that are not mentioned

if the phone says couldnt do normal boot just take out the battery and try to start the phone.
now download twrp (image) file give by Sir Aditya in Grand 2 develpments thread !
and flash it by flashify App you will find it on play store
and remember root is needed !
press "thanks" if i helped
