Hello ,
After trying to root my phone, I accidentaly switch to install the TWRP root. After this I was stuck on boot.
I tried a lot of thing with no solving :
- Using the Nandroid backup -> don't work, I am stuck on boot
- Using the Nandroid backup and then remove the lockscreen files -> don't work, stuck on boot
- adb sideload from cyanogenmod13 -> don't work, error : 64, need to factory reset.
- Factory reset then adb sideload from cm13 -> don't work, stuck on boot
- Factory reset then adb sideload from Nexus6P_6.0.0_MBD08K.zip -> don't work, stuck on boot
- Factory reset then push file cm13 then flash -> don't work, stuck on boot
- Factory reset then push file Nexus6p_6.0.0_MBD08K.zip then flash -> don't work, stuck on boot
I don't know what else I can try, how that is possible ?
I would do number 11

Then try to root again

I was trying to unlock my Nexus 4. I've done this before on a Galaxy Nexus, successfully but something went wrong here.
Just got CWM Recovery on. I tried to reboot using the recovery and it provided me with two prompts:
1) Do you want to disable the stock recovery install? [ I hit NO ]
2) Do you want to root your device (I believe this is what it asked) [ I hit YES ]
Now my phone is stuck in a reboot loop. I can get into recovery with no problem (and it is still the CWM one). I've tried reloading the recovery to no avail. What are my options to try to fix this?
I have tried fastboot erase cache but it did not restore my phone.
Update your recovery or try to flash another recovery. Twrp is recommended here. Cwm also gave me some hard time with bootloop and stuff

I tried flashing TWRP, but I get the Can't mount /data, Can't mount internal storage, etc etc. I can't flash .zips at all and I feel like my only way out is to use fastboot to deal with things. Even now, I'm trying fastboot and it's stuck trying to send the factory Nexus 4 4.4.4 ROM over...
I have no idea how to safely fall back now. I just want my phone back ASAP.
Just tried flashing 5 out of the 6 imgs to my phone using fastboot (didn't flash recovery). and I'm STILL stuck on the loading screen (10 minutes). Which means I'm still having the problem...I have no idea what to do now.

Flash recovery in fastboot. This'll put the stock recovery on. Do a factory rest in the stock recovery. Then flash the twrp image in fastboot and re-root

Flash it again. Remember to clean out the cache and dalvik cache every time you flash a zip.
This is why most phones get stuck in a boot loop when flashing a new ROM.
As long as you have the custom recovery, you don't need to flash custom recovery
Hope this helps!
I would also recommend PhilZ's recovery. Best of both CWM and TWRP.

I tried to install Cataclysm ROM, and then it went into some sort of installer, after that I tried to reboot, but TWRP said it didn't have any OS?? So i tried to boot it up anyway? but nothing, just stucked on Google Logo. After that I tried to boot into TRWP agian. But then TWRP says "Mount Decrypt Data" and then i have to enter a password?? but i removed my pattern lock before flashing. Because i made a Nandroid and i read i had to remove the password before making a backup. But then i just press cancel. Then it says " Unmodified System Partition" "Swipe to Allow Modifications" and i do that. Now i have nothing on my SD card?? Then i thought i could flash stock through Fastboot/ADB, but now it won't see my device in ADB? I have updated my drivers, both by Google and Intel (Read they helped someone else) But nothing? so i cant retutn to stock and can't boot up.
Please help, highly appreciated
Some how i got i to reboot by an ADB command and then i could flash factory imgs and return to stock.
That very same thing happened to me the 1st time I tried to install Cataclysm. Somehow my SD card got wiped.
I had to start from scratch with the factory image.
I don't know what happened but I have since successfully installed Cataclysm.
I tried to root my phone.. without installing any custom recovery i just installed magisk manager then the zip file and started recovery booting (by pressing home+power+vol up). First it showed installing system updates then its displayed that failed to open recovery cause no such file. Now i cant reboot my device. There is a boot loop. I have tried wiping cache partition, data factory reset but still it dosn't opens. its stuck in samsanug logo page and keeps on booting again and again.
Hi,
I have been using my P Smart (FIG-LX1) for a while with LineageOS 16 and decided to move on to Android 10. Installed LineageOS 17.1 (found it on this forum) and pph-Magisk 20.3 for root - it did work, but the system was unstable so i decided to try AOSP 10.0 instead. I entered TWRP, wiped cache, dalvik, system and data, flashed the ROM, gapps etc. It was advised to now flash stock recovery and use it to do a factory reset - and now i'm stuck here.
After flashing the recovery_ramdisk img the phone stopped being able to enter any recovery at all. The system itself does not boot (stuck on the "Your device has been unlocked (...) Your device is booting now..." screen forever), the recovery never appears (previously in the start screen with 'unlocked device' warning it used to suggest pressing volume UP to enter recovery, now it only shows "Your device is booting now"). As i can still access fastboot, I tried flashing TWRP again - the TWRP splash screen does appear, but the phone gets stuck on it. Also tried flashing another system's img - nothing changed.
Is there anything I can do or did i just brick it completely?
Thanks for help!
SOLVED:
Apparently running fastboot erase on system and userdata partitions made me able to boot into recovery/erecovery again. I do have another problem now, but it's not connected with this one so I will create another thread for that.
Could you try help me? I can't even get ADB to work anymore
