the video quality is also amazing.
Hope it wont do problems in the future.
the only thing i noticed is when low light goes on the camera lags a bit.

And on lollipop it have manual focus ?

but there is an application called Manual Camera ..its way too fast and small in size ..and have all the manual customizations and focus ..check that out..u will love it

Works thanks. Phone gets hot while using gallery on stock 5.1. Burst only takes 2 pics. Pictures look a lot better than stock camera app though. Thanks.

Installed the gallery only, and the button to launch the camera is not working on the Photo Editor app. Any way to launch any default camera present in the rom?

There aren't video options so i can't selec video mode to slow motion

Im sad to say but it looks like this whole Z5 camera is still a joke! and this comes from a z3c owner... look at these samples http://www.eprice.com.tw/mobile/talk/4523/4953454/1/rv/sony-xperia-z5-compact-review/ the note 5 out shoots the z5 almost in any shot and not to speak bout low light shots which z5 cant handle. so after this i just cancelled my preorder and might get something else or ill wait till next year because i aint buying samsung crap.

I 'm sorry to say that the Note 5 pictures qre way better. Did you look at the full resolution pictures or just the thumbnails? I don't like Samsung but I have to admit, adding OIS to their flagships this year was a smart move. Sony blew it again. That is unless they tweak the camera before the release.

I think all haters to see eye doctor and test their eye sight. Z5 photos are far better than taken with Z3 and are equally great compared to S6 or Note 5. If you think otherwise you should get an iPhone 6s

They didnt test yet iphone 6s and note 5. Anyway for video recording, i think sony will be hard to beat. As for photos quality just hope it will be acceptable since i dont like protrude camera design.

iP6s camera is just bigger clone of iP6 camera with no significant improvements except 4k video. iP6 should be in top 5 but not #1
definitely not to beat Huawei's Nexus too for much better 12mpix snapper

Let's share some photos! I think it is a very capable camera for the price. Under right conditions it can produce some nice images. Personally I use Snapseed to fine tune some of the images.

Shooting around with my sister phone Mi Max. 100% unedited.

Some photos take with my Mi Max today, unedited, full auto, just put HDR for the 3rd photo

Not the best camera out there i found out but for the Price it performs really well.

No more 4K video recording on Z5 after Nougat update!!

Sony is really screwing us deep... really DEEP.
4K video recording is no longer available after the Nougat update... the feature has been removed!!!!!
I can't believe it.
UPDATE: I jumped to conclusions. The 4K option is still available.

Alright, I jumped to conclusions... You are right.
Last time I used 4K recording was a long time ago. Back then, wasn't the option available next to Full HD recording mode?? I don't remember selecting a special menu option.

I am not able to record 4K video after updating to Android 7.0 (32.3.A.0.376) on my z5, screen only stays black after choosing 4K video app.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Same for my xperia z5 premium on 32.3.A.2.33 screen just stays black when entering 4k app in camera

Any ideas what could help here?

No one's asking for help.

Did a full wipe about 4 weeks ago, after that 4k video recording worked fine.
Since yesterday, fu**ing 4k video recording doesn't work anymore. Same problem as before...
