Got this reboot or whatever (see battery graph) yesterday evening. Only noticed, that i needed to enter my boot up pin again when I put the phone out of my pocket.
Was this my first random reboot (never had one before) or could the tight pocket of my new trousers have triggered this somehow? power button pushed down too long?
isnt the gap in the graph weirdly long for a usual reboot?
is there any way to find out what happened there?
thanks much!

Don't worry about one random reboot. If it happens again and you notice a pattern, then ask the question. Android phone can have random reboots for a craaazy amount of reasons!!

Hi.
I just wonder if there's a mirc channel where I could get help?
I'm getting the same problem here. Can't go on bootloader, volume keys working on MAGLDR
Pull the battery and start over.
hold the volume down while holding the red phone button should get you there.
fill out your signatures!!!!!!!!

volume keys working on MAGLDR ????
Yes, the keys are working!
i got in the bootloader once: the phone was without battery for ~8 hours.
i used Task29, but to install WindowsMobile i think i have to wait another 8 hours, because now i can not get into it again ... -.-
another 14 hours later: no success -.-
i will keep trying.
what have all the others done with their phones?
Wait a day long...
Loving the Nexus 4 (stock JOP40D + root) although I'm having some issues with the phone sometimes rebooting randomly (1-2 times a day)
and today it turned itself off during a long call (after about 45 mins) and would not boot again.
I pressed all combinations of buttons, plugged into the charger and it would not turn on.
Left it aside for a few mins, pressed power+vol and it booted normally as if nothing happened.
I then went to check the battery settings, and noticed a strange gap (screenshot) like the ones I was getting on my S2 after this kind of reboot.
Any ideas of what could have caused this?

Thanks. Could that really be the case though? It didn't feel hot in my hand
I'd RMA it. I'm getting an RMA device for a "faulty battery". Many Nexi have shipped with dud batteries. Not sure if that's your particular issue, but call Google.
I sideloaded the OTA from stock configuration about 2 weeks ago, and since have experienced random freezes about 5-6 times.
At first I thought the phone was actually just randomly shutting down on its own since I couldn't turn the screen on, but then I noticed that the notification light was blinking (not red). Also my battery stats show the weirdest thing when this happens -- battery is not discharging, and everything is inactive except for wi-fi. Screenshots below.
Every time this has happened has been after a period of inactivity (after I've put it down for more than 30-40 min). I've experienced no other problems besides this so far.
Has anybody experienced this? Do you think a factory reset would help?
Note the OTA link and sideloading guide I got was from here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/2mgh8o/nexus_4_lollipop_ota_link_and_update_guide/

It's called the screen of death, and it's a long standing issue with the N4. See:

Aw crud. I have never experienced this before lollipop and I've had my N4 for 2+ years. Wonder if it would go away if I reverted to Kitkat. In any case, thank you for your answer.
I'm facing the same problem that this guys are having. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/help/help-blue-screen-error-samsung-grand-2-t2831445 except i only have it with cm 12.1 and ress remix.
I don't know if this has some relation with dual sim fixes, maybe.
I also noticed that it usually happens when the phone gets hot and i have to wait until s3 neo temperatures becomes normal, otherwise it'll show the blue screen and reboot again and again... Stock rom is ok, no errors, but cm 12.1 is much metter. It's a shame i can't use it propperly.
@Rox can u give me a hand? Idk what is logcat and how to do it, if its usefull i can do it.
Also i made some tests and most of times (90%) the blue screen happened after antutu test and always in this screen

There are plenty threads about logcat and how to use it. You dont know if it's related with the fixes: Reflash it without the fix and check how it goes. But sure it is the the fix that causes this (taking into account that you have reflashed the rom after the issue because sometimes maybe something doesn't go well when flashing/copying).
Basically I restarted my phone for the first time in probably 2 weeks and all of a sudden I notice that when I use the Clipboard the size is much more smaller than it was before. Anyone know how to fix it?

A little late but put your S8 in Safe Mode. That will fix it and it will persist through a normal boot after that.

Haha yeah it's a bit late, but thanks anyway. I actually managed to fix it not long ago by switching to the stock keyboard then back to the Swift keyboard.

Well that probably works a lot better and doesn't reset any theme settings. I'll have to remember that one next time.
