Hi, I seen an app that wants all permissions when I wanted to install it.
and after that it wants admin permission, I don't let it and after that it shows me a message and hides itself!!
I think that's a malware and wanna know that where it sends its data... Can you help me??
I'm not a dev and wanna know that can I know myself by apkeditor.apk??
Just interested, where did you find this app? I am always curious to see how different malware function.

Do you still have the link or apk? I would want to look at the app Is it against the xda rules to distribute malware? Maybe you can send me a pm.

Is there an application or hack that will allow me to stop those smart pop-up advertisements in my applications? I read somewhere that there is a way to do this after you have root. But I didn't have root at the time...and now that I do, I can't remember what message board and forum. Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks. I found that right after I posted. I tried it on my DI and it caused a reboot. It can't update the hosts file. However, I read that it does work on the G1 and the Droid.
If you check my post i put a update.zip to fix adfree.

I also know for a fact that if you dont have the market license [ie. buy the app] then the legitimate market version will not start and will tell you to purchase the app from the market, So if you guys are passing around an apk from the market which was paid for then its only going to work for people who have bought it and it is atatched to their market account, Unless you are using and passing around a cracked warez version, which is not only detrimental to the dev's for their hard work [for which i have GREAT respect for !]
I also believe it is not allowed within xda forums , please do correct me if i am wrong about this...
otherwise can the mods please delete this thread.
XDA DOES NOT TOLERATE WAREZ DISCUSSION, AND/OR SHARING OF WAREZ.
IF YOU WANT IT, BUY IT.

Can you please make spreadsheet results public? Or do we have to ask you for permission?
Analytical view doesn't show detail about which ROM have which issues, which I can filter out from the spreadsheet...
Thanks!

The spreadsheet (link above) should show everyone's answers. Let me know if you can't see the results.

Nope :/
it says:
You need permission
Want in? Ask the owner for access, or switch to an account with permission. Learn more
You are signed in as: [email protected]
Request access | Switch accounts
Try to check the permissions of the file, most probably you've not changed the default permissions to see it only yourself... make it publicly visible and editable only by you/selected users.
Thanks!

Thank you, i had already tried that, didn't work. But i have found a working solution for S7 Edge.
Sorry, that i have to chime in. But, you asked for a solution to a problem, got one (albeit it didn't work, but thats not the point), told us that you already have a solution and don't tell the community what that solution is? Seriously?
Now i don't need this feature, and honestly don't know why i should need it, but maybe there is someone out there, that would need the input you neglected to offer.
So please, enlighten this forum. Thanks and sorry again for the rant...

Thanks! Didn't mean to sound so angry, but hopefuly you get my point. :good:
Does anyone know what this means?
Sorry for making a whole thread about this.. I meant to post in a thread that was already started and the XDA app won't let me delete it.
