NEWLY ROOTED G530T1 (Need Help Pulling Stock Metro ROM) - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed the T-mobile recovery to my G530T1 and have no problems with the ROM except the WIFI & USB Hotspots not working. I managed to circumvent this with PDANet and Hotspot Shield. No bueno, I'm already tired of not being able to use my stock WIFI Hotspot. The USB one is great for hiding data usage and not counting towards your hotspot data, but unpractical when only usable on one device.
I work for metroPCS and have a stock rooted G530T1 with CWM. How would I go about doing a full ROM backup of this device that could be flashed to other devices. (Like the one I have with the OH9 T-Mobile ROM)

Im looking into this now as well... I believe first step is to gain temp or perm root... Then install a terminal app.. then run some adb shell commands...
http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-charge-rooting-roms-hacks/84953-how-create-custom-odin-images-backup-restore.html
...like that
If any one knows how to get a temp or perm root... I would be happy to work on compiling a backup firmware... as i will want one myself!

Problem downloading data over the 3G network, but it works fine over wifi.

im currently running trigger 3.2 with nothing else (no special kernels or themes or anything) and recently I have not been able to establish an internet connection over 3G. I have only been able to do it over wifi. I went to the tmobile store and the guy told me that since it was rooted he couldnt help me but to ask you guys instead. so heres my question:
is this problem because of my phone or because of my rom? im hoping its just the rom so i can flash a diff one but im wondering if anyone has a solution to it or anything like that.
Wireless&network> Mobile network> APN. Make sure T-Mobile's detailed are checked, as in there's a green dot next to the APN. Reboot afterwards.
Try reflashing just the modem first before you resort to a whole ROM flash. KB5 is really picky with sending/recieving data on my Vibrant, and I had to flash the KA6 modem to get it to work well.

look in settings>wireless & networks> more> tethering & portable hotspot. this is where you can toggle it. or if you want an app back on your home screen try a long press on home screen>shortcuts>activities>settings>tethering and portable hotspot. and viola you have it back

I've tried everything and nothing, apparently that is blocked, it will be because I used to gsm unlock method.

try reflashing stock rom unrooted and it should come back. it may have to do with the gsm unlock you did but reverting to stock and then rerooting should fix it for ya.
@Andr3s - you did allow the sprint updates to run after you rooted (or installed the current ROM), right?
If the sprint updates don't run, the hotspot won't show up.

Hi, I had the finished version in AMF9, I did downgrade the modem to MDC to unlock and work in GSM mode, then went back to update the modem to AMF9, I root the phone and the next day the phone using the option disappeared and I have the latest version of Sprint.
You wrote AMF9 twice, so I assume that is not a typo. The latest Sprint update is MF9 - you are on MF9, right?
Did you install the hotspot mod? If so, when? were you on MDC modem? or MF9 modem? (which mod did you flash?)

Hello This was what I did
1 - updating my phone to version MF9.
2 - Flash MDC Modem version
3 - Run the unlock to work on GSM
4 - I returned back to making flash MF9
5 - I did the root of MF9
6 - Install all my apps and when I looked at the option of the option links Hotspot disappeared, and when I install any of these tethering app says "Hotspot not Supported". but the strange thing is that before if it worked.
Also install the Hotspot Modem, both odexed and deodexed dome and nothing.

You indicated that it worked before - do you mean - before step 1 in your list?
Here's my understanding of how this should happen. When you wiped your phone, and installed the new ROM/modem/etc, the phone should do a handsfree activation with Sprint when you first boot up. If this activation is skipped, the hotspot (and the sprint bloatware) doesn't get installed.
Sorry if I'm being confusing - hope this helps.

A it should have been that, I do not turn the phone on Sprint, since I'm outside the United States, that hurts.
thanks

Any custom rom has wifi problems.

Hi guys,
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S4 with this custom rom.
Unfortunately, the wifi connection drops or doesn't even work at all. I downloaded another custom rom, Cyanogenmod 11. For me, this rom also has the same wifi issues. So I followed this tutorial here on XDA to update my modem and bootloader to XXUHOF2. (I also flashed the wifi fix for that bootloader in pda/ap).
The modem and bootloader update worked, according to these screenshots: (See attachments)
But the wifi connection still drops or doesn't even work at all.
Also, the mobile connection and wifi indicator have sometimes got an exclamation mark next to them. (See attachments)
When I go back to stock, the wifi works perfectly. (But I don't want stock because I hate touchwiz).
By the way the mobile data, texting and calling also works fine.
What do I need to do to get the wifi working?
Thanks in advance,
Twitmuck.

no data transfer wifi hotspot marshmallow 928f

when using hotspot mode under marshmallow the clients says internet connected but gets no data. tried different devices tablet pc.... doesnt matter if using original flashed rom using odin or custom rom. when reverted back to lollipop no issues at all. has anyone faces this issues too?
T-mobile LG V10 no hotspot data
I'm having the same exact problem after downloading the marshmallow update. Devices can connect to my hotspot, but no data is available. Help!
I had this same problem, but it was because I was using the app Doze and it was restricting the hotspot data. I doubt your problem is because of this, but if you have Doze installed, make sure it's off when using a hotspot

H19 Radio semi broken after unlock and root: please help!

Internet not working at all off of network . WiFi works so Thought it could be the apn but I returned to stick and no dice.
Phone: j10, newest modem.
History: Had a hard time rooting it after unlocking the bootloader. Easy cow'd the hell out of it till I realized it doesn't work on the new ota. I finally got it to work (root) on through the regular method. Decrypted, superusered and flashed overdrives Rom. Worked for 5 hours until I through on waze and my Internet crapped itself. I super wiped it, even the internal storage and reinstalled the Rom and still no internet but WiFi works. Then I decided to go back to stock and still borked. .
Also I flashed the new modem as well.
Any suggestions and help would be awesome
Sent from my SM-G935T using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Can anyone grab a screen shot of the apn?
