Can we boot remix os on our shield tv? I am trying it on my pc now
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
I looked at their site and no you cannot just boot it on the Shield TV. It will have to be compiled for the Shield TV like CyanogenMod or other custom roms and then flashed to the device.
And they wont supply you the source code. I already asked on their forums. Only to OEMs...

Anybody know if it is possible to get remix os ported to our device?
I am looking for that too, maybe to have a dual boot, or inside of android rom and when it is connected to a hdmi dock the remix os will launch. It will be nice to see some devs to be able to do this.
I have Chuwi Vi8 that dualboot Windows (8.1 & 10) and Android.
I have OTG hub that can charge and use OTG simultaneously that work with windows. But not working on Android.
I read that this is because Android kernel does not support this simultaneus charging action.
My question, since Remix OS has it owns kernel. Does Remix OS kernel support this OTG and charging at the same time?
If it is, might be fun to install Remix OS in my tablet. Or did I misunderstood kernel? Perhaps kernel is something unique in each tablet?
TIA
this forum is for ultratablet users. that is jide hardware with native remix os.
Hi
I'm using a Fire HD 8 with Fully Kiosk Browser as a home automation control panel and it works great. Its rooted and I'm using Lineage 16, which is super.
I've just bought a Fire HD 10 2017 on Fire OS 5.6.6.0 and plan to use it for the same purpose. Fully Kiosk runs ok on Fire OS, but is better with original android. I'm considering rooting the HD 10, but there aren't as many ROM options and in general, it seems like less development or interest in the HD 10 compared to the HD 8. The most recent lineage build with working camera (necessary for fully kiosk motion detection) is Lineage 12.
Does anyone have any advice on the topic? Am I better with an older original Android installation or a newer Fire OS and try to debloat as much as I can?
Thanks

Anyone able to get Geforce now compatible with Lineage os 6.01 on the shield portable?
I know this is old but the Shield portable is still such a beast . I can confirm that Geforce Now , Stadia and Gamepass all run on Lineage OS 6.1 . If you still have one of these it still has a lot of life in it .
Hello! I just flashed LineageOS on my Shield TV Pro and now I don't have TV controls anymore. Is this something I can flash back or is it only available on stock?
