Just a quick question...my antivirus shows your toolkit as a Trojan horse....?
Sound like a neat tool.
But when I get the question about installing adb drivers and selecting yes I get a Windows error that the installation can't be run. When I check the msi in the data folder it's only 3kb large. That can't be right.
I've tried disabling my anti-virus and firewall temporary (ESET) but without success.
Does anyone have a clue what might go wrong?
Edit: I checked the FAQ and noticed a manual link. Now I know why it failed... the file doesn't exist on the S3 Amazon server.

The Heimdall Suite 1.3 release includes a major overhaul of Heimdall Frontend. The most important feature is that Heimdall Frontend now provides a means for you to easily package your firmware/ROMs/kernels in a "Heimdall Firmware Package".
Heimdall Firmware Packages contain any files users will need to flash as well as additional information including supported devices, developer names, homepage and donate URLs etc.

Heimdall Firmware Packages can be customised by users or flashed directly as provided by firmware developers. Generally users won't want or need to customise the firmware so flashing your firmware becomes as simple as loading the firmware package and pressing the "Start" button.
Distributing your firmware via Heimdall Firmware Packages should simplify the flashing process for end users and decrease the number of bricks that occur as a result of users flashing incorrect firmware.
Heimdall 1.3.0 has officially been released and can be download from the Heimdall product page.
Feedback is very welcome! As always donations are also very much appreciated.

And this is really more easy to use for normal end users?
I do not think so. CWM zip which I can copy to my device and install from there seems to be straightforward.
By the way from the homepage a warning:
ATTENTION: Heimdall 1.3.2 broke compatibility for several devices. In most case it is recommended that you use version 1.3.1 instead.
If you own a Galaxy Player 5 or similar device, then version 1.3.2 will still be required. Please use version 1.3.1 for all other devices until 1.3.3 is released.

Easer or safer?!?
not everyone has linux or apple computer and thus uses heimdall.
Next to this, this increases binary counter no? So nice for people who use heimdall and dont care for counter.
I think key in flashing is multiplatform compatability and then cwm zips are mostly usable in broadest spectrum.
Maybe people should check double check what they flash prior to flashing in order to eliviate that risk of flashing wrong firmware for wrong device.

Can you help in making cifs.ko work ie I want to mount windows shared folders on my wifi network. I compiled cifs.ko and md4.ko and also loaded them using insmod and used lsmod to see the status, it shows modules loaded successfully. But can not mount with "mount" or "busybox mount" commands. ... ... @Shaky156 who posted a custom kernel is not replying in his thread, may be he is busy.
