I just updated my 6P OTA with the January Security update.
And now the charger stops charging when it hits 90%. The charging symbol will disappear from the battery icon once it hits 90%.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

It continues to charge as the battery depletes. As always, if the device is on, it will be using energy.
how can you tell it's still charging?
i use LvmTopBat, when the bar is green, it's not charging, when purple it is
can you make sure?
also do you charge using USB or Wallmount charger?
to the prev post,
even if the phone is on, it should stop charging at a certain level (to prevent battery overcharging which might result fire or explosion), then continue when the battery reaches a certain percentage.
usually i put my device onto charger (Wall charger not USB) before i sleep, next morning the bar is green (which means it's not charging anymore).
cheers
Hi
I have some issues after I update to MM, battery draining and charging problems, my phone is charging too slow turned off even turned on after the update of security of june. The first day I left my phone on charge all night and only charge 82%(I think is the slow charging) and the second day never stops charging after reached 100%.
Someone have the same issue?
Thanks!
Hi guys!
Recently I updated my Galaxy S6 edge+ (G928C) to Nougat. Since the update installed I am facing two key charging issues that I am stating as under:
1. My phone battery doesn't reaches 100%
I have noticed that my phone is unable to reach 100% when its charging, it only only goes upto 98% or but fails to reach 100%. I have to replug the charger at 98% and then it goes to 100% that too slowly.
2. The phone now charges slowly
My phone was on Lollipop Android version and while fast charging it completed the charge cycle in approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes but now recently after updating it is taking extra 20 - 30 minutes more to charge completely (and that too if I replug the cable after 98% else it remains there). The fast charging option is even enabled in settings.
Is any one experiencing the same issues? I am worried if both of the issues affect battery life and I look forward to your suggestions and comments that might prove helpful.
I took the update for the june security update and it broke the fast charging. I know the charger still fast charges because when I plug in other devices it still works for other devices. My phone was quick charging fine and than stopped a few days ago. wireless charging still works as it should but the wired connection charging has gone from 3-4hrs for a full charge.....WTF?! any help is appreciated.
Does anyone having battery status problem? While charging phone without a turbocharger, my phone's battery status increase like a turbocharger's speed of charging. When disconnected the charger i saw some reading. after sometime it reduced some %.
For this i plugged charger for more time.
ANY FIX??
I am using stock Motorola ROM.

Here is what works for my Moto G5 +: (1) With the phone turned ON, connect to the phone the charger that came with the phone and plug the charger to an electrical outlet; (2) Let it charge for several hours; (3) After a while, my phone shows that battery is only X% charged (less than 50%) but, because of the elapsed time charging, I know it is fully charged; (4) Turn the phone OFF keeping the charger as is; (5) The screen will go black and, after a while, a circle will appear on the screen, hopefully showing the battery level is 100%; (6) Wait until the screen goes black again; (7) Unplug the charger; (8) Turn the phone ON and it will show that the battery is fully charged!!
I am having this problem too, it started after i update to june security patch.
