It must operate normally in .264, if you want to be sure, send me the original file mixer_paths.xml me apply the mod.
ive followed the instructions and the headphone volume is much better now.
unfortunately sound is not playing through the phone speaker anymore
edit. I've restored the original mixer_paths.xml and reset the permissions and the sound from speaker is working again.

ok, I know why it did not work, this mod I did to xperia z3 compact, you device appears to be the Z1 or Z1 compact. send me the mixer_paths.xml file and tell us which model of your device I create the patch for you.

Thanks for your help hicked. I noticed after installing the file that it was for the Z3. I should of read the post better.
My phone is indeed a Z1 Compact with firmware 14.6.A.1.236
I've tried attaching the mixer_paths.xml to this post, but in case that doesn't work there is also a mega link below.

I followed your instructions but used Root Browser instead of ES Browser. (I don't know if this made a difference)
After the restart audio failed to work on the internal speaker or on earphones. It gave me an "audio stopped" mesaage
I accessed mixer_paths.XML through Root Browser and changed the permissions to the same as in my attached image. After another reboot audio worked again, and was noticibly louder through the earphones. Tested on my Bluetooth speaker and on my Bluetooth headphones and they seem to be louder now too.

It doesn't work as expected. Speech recognition and responses are very cool, but the app gets stuck almost every time after the first response. :-(

To Fix EDIT MOD :
To fix the network error, edit two lines in the build.prop to add GT-I9300
The 2 lines should look like the following:
ro.product.device=GT-I9300
ro.product.model=GT-I9300

you can try else you have to copy app in system /app
I got it installed, placed in the system/app folder. Changed the build.prop files. I still get a DC after asking it to call someone.
Any ideas or thoughts on getting it to stop fc-ing? Also I find this weird, I had 45% power before hand. Now I'm at 17%. Check out the drop in my screenshoot.

To get the S-Voice to work..
1A. You need ICS, if your on GB, ttyl
1B. You NEED rooted device
1C. Do NOT directly install like a regular APK
2A. Open the apk file on your PC with WinZip / 7Zip
2B. Extract "libsvoxtts.so" from \lib\armeabi\
2C. Transfer both these files to your ICS device or you can push via adb
3A. Copy the voicetalk.apk (i tested with this name) to /system/app
3B. If there no space, remove some apks not required pref by Titanium Backup
3C. Copy the voicetalk.apk with say ES Explorer or via ADB PUSH
3D. Change permission of voicetalk.apk to rw,r,r
3E. Press and hold >> Properties >> Change (ES Explorer)
3F. Copy the libsvoxtts.so to /system/lib (do check this is required or not)
4A. Edit build.prop (with build.prop Editor or manually)
4B. Edit property ro.product.device with value GT-I9300
4C. Edit property ro.product.model with value GT-I9300
5A. Restart Phone
5B. Start S Voice from launcher
5C. I saw during setup trying to change Hi Galaxy to your own command crashed the app.

Installation
Step - 1 : Setting Up your PC!
Download The following resources first:
Java SE Run-time Environment 7 [ Java Dependencies For Signing APK tool ]
Now let's begin setting up your PC,
Install the above mentioned programs.
Go to Advanced System Properties.
It looks like this:
Go to Environment Variables, then create a new System Variable, having name JAVA_HOME and value as the path where you have installed the JRE.

Now after creating the JAVA_HOME variable, search for Path system variable in the System Variables list. Now this is a bit tricky. Once found click on it and then on Edit. Move the cursor to the end of the string till you see ";" (without quotes), add the path to your JRE bin folder just after it.

OK, so if everything went fine and just as what instructed then you are all good to proceed to Step - 2!
Step - 2 : Installing Cassini on your PC!
Download the latest build from the download section.
Extract the zip Cassini.[CURRENT-VERSION].zip, and execute Cassini.[CURRENT-VERSION].exe.
Now follow the Installation wizard and you are done!

How to Use?
Firstly, open up your C: Drive and then go to Program Files [Program Files (x86) in case of 64-bit system] folder, then just look for a folder named Divya Mamgai, go in it and you will find a folder named Cassini and that's it, it is your Main directory.
Now copy your apk files to the working directory of it, and then start the program.
Now just press enter to start compressing!
Wait for the process to complete, and all your apk files will be available to be used while saving a lot of data on your device in the build folder.

by comparing at files which was compressed i can see Res and resources.arsc got compressed. and th compression ratio is great too. i was using similar method called Go Optimizer by gu5t3r without any isse and helped me saved more space in my phone.

Yes you are right it is based on some of basic functions of Windows, also I don't think the setup might not work in Unbuntu.

Well I don't know accurately but check out this rom - Hyperion Xperia U , I have used Cassini in it and it really helped my device to handle multitasking in a much better way. But I won't get my hopes up in getting better performance.

Everything works great now, pictures quality has been restored, I'm getting app notifications through what's new among other things that were lost after unlocking the bootloader.
I noticed that the screen mirroring feature wasn't restored, so I made this mod for the Z5 premium dual.
Just extract and replace:
"build.prop" in root/system and "wfdconfig.xml" in root/system/etc
Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
Restart your mobile
Marshmallow update: Just flash the correct zip package via recovery.

Which file manager are you using? Have you allowed read-write permission.
Install x-plore from play store.
Select configuration.
Change root access to superuser + mount writable.
Open the root folder, grant root access when the pop up window appears and replace the files.
Restart.

Flashable zip added. Just go to recovery and flash.
I did not realise your flashable zip is only for dual Sim phone. I flashed it and now my single Sim phone thinks it's dual Sim. How do I remove this zip to undo the changes?

You'll have to reflash the firmware or just ask someone here with the single sim variant for the 2 files.

It works with Sony bravia LED's/LCD's which have the screen mirroring feature, I do use this feature all the time. I'm not sure about other smart tv's.

Have you resolved the issue buddy? If not, I see you've flashed the RomAur ROM on your phone. Just extract the rom zip file in your pc, go to system, you'll find the build.prop file there, then open etc, you'll get the wfdconfig.xml file from there. Just replace the files in your phone, it should fix the issue.

Hi, I was using the generic Italy ROM. I went back and used flashtool to reflash it without wiping data, and it worked well. Thanks for asking.

I modified files and succeed in creating a zip to install them on my phone without root, now the Screen Mirroring works, but still get the message:
"The output device does not support HDCP You can only mirror unprotected content of the following applications.:
Xperia Home, Video, Music or Walkman, Settings "

Enable duble tap to wake on N rom
Requirements:
1) Be Rooted
2) need app like root explorer or ES file explorer file manager, or what ever you like.
3) go to system/buld.prop then first Press mount r/w then open buld.prop by text editor.
4) copy this line ro.config.hw_easywakeup=true and put it in the bottom of the page in a new line this line is missing in buld.prop in nougat rom but not in MM rom
5) save your change.
6) Go to system/emui/base/xml and open up that file hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml by text editor, Find the line that says <EasyWakeupMotion name="Double_Touch" support="1" value="0" flag="0" keycode="131" /> and change the value=0 to value=1 then save your changes.
7) Restart your phone
4) Go into Settings/Smart Assistance/Motion Control and you will see Double Touch appear in SCREEN GESTURES section, Turn it on.
now you have working duble tap to wake.
test it on nougat rom on L29C185B520, C636B521 and AL10C00B577, DL00, but may also work on other variants as well.
Important Note:
source and all info and steps too from@ajsmsg78 from his thread i just change one thing this line (ro.config.hw_...............) place, this line already exist in "MM" rom buld.prop, but missing from "N" rom buld.prop.

can you make screen shot from your (buld.prop)
and also (hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml)
version b596.
systemless way.
magisk + prop config module.
works with set a new custom prop in terminal.
no need to edit xml.
the option will be there after added the prop.
