Ok, so here what is maybe the problem.
- It could be your sim is not working anymore.
- you maybe selected 4G or 3G network option and there is no 4G or 3G network near by, my suggestion is to make phone connect to a GSM network.
- Do a manual search for netwotks and connect to the provider you have.
If none of above works i suggest a factory reset.

I'm still waiting on mine to arrive and i'll try to change the spc to zeros so flashing to any carrier be easier (ota programming) .. That's for the CDMA part... As for the gsm I'll have to wait and try..

You can't put any other SIM than Sprint.
Only way you can use this phone now anywhere in the world is on CDMA network using PRL and NV. for now GSM is locked and Sprint also had no clue how to unlock.

I believe the CDMA workshop is the tool used to unlock the SIM card.
search for "Sprint Samsung galaxy s4 16 digit password"
it won't take you directly to what you want but it is related and should lead you there.

Yes, Samsung disabled that in the new modems. You could try flashing an older modem (twice) with Odin and try again.
Hi guys,
I purchased the i9505, which is the SFR device, the phone is not SIM locked when I purchased it. However, after I flash the custom ROM and cannot connect to the mobile data because of forget adding the new APNs but, I thought that the phone is SIM locked. Therefore, I followed the step to SIM unlocked in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282683 but, it's my very bad luck, I did not use an AUTHORIZE SIM so, the phone is now LOCKED :crying:
Can anyone told me how can I unlock the SIM if I don't have an authorized SIM? and if I need to purchase the unlock code, which network operator I need to choose between SFR or the network operator of the SIM I used in the step?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone know?
If your phone is SIM locked, then U will see a windows ENTER NETWORK KEY right?
U should see that waindow otherwise your phone is UNLOCKED

I takes a long time to download the full ROM in my country (it show about 1 day), and I don't have a time to wait for it. So, I've paid for the unlock code already. BTW, thank you very much for you help. :good:
Hey guys, I found this on my weary travels after suffering from a completely failing GPS.
The advice I found inside the actual S5 port thread was to flash a stock ROM via ODIN.
I tried that multiple times, including a PIT repartition, nand erase and bootloader update.
NO LUCK.
I thought I was completely doomed, but upon trying the following advice it fixed right up with only a single reboot and 20 seconds of work.
Here it is:
Solution 1
On you dialer type in this USSD *#0011#
Press menu key > press back
Press menu key > press key input > Q
Press menu key > press key input > 0000
Wait for a few seconds and the screen options will change
Press on UMTS
Press on Common
Press on NV Rebuild
Press on NV Rebuild
Press on System, Protocol, GPS, IMS
Wait for 30 seconds and then shutdown your phone
Power On phone
GPS should work fine now
Recommend to use GPS STATUS app to reset and download AGPS Data
Solution 2 - If you are still on the S5 Port ROM
Assuming you are on a S5 Port ROM, make sure GPS is enabled
Boot into recovery and without wiping anything "dirty" flash a note 3 rom and reboot
There will be a lot of force closes once reboot is complete. Reboot back into recovery
Wipe data and reboot into the Rom again. There may be a few force closes. Reboot back into recovery
Wipe 3 times (data, cache, system, boot)
I recommend latest Philz Recovery (use intall new rom option to wipe)
Restore or install your desired Note 3 rom
GPS should work fine
Incase it still does not, perform solution 1
Enjoy guys.
All credit goes to XinfinityoO for working this out.
If you need further help or explanation or anything, just post here and I'll try my best to help you out.
I've used solution one before. It's works on any rom. I had GPS not finding my location issue on all stock roms and found that solution somewhere and it worked like a charm.

Because it appears after you press the menu hardware button > back then menu button key input Q and then menu button key input 0000.
Not sure if it matters but keep the Q as a capital letter. Follow the instructions to the letter.

Press menu key > press key input > Q
Press menu key > press key input > 0000 ( zeros )
Wait for a few seconds and the screen options will change
Press on UMTS
Press on Common
Press on NV Rebuild
Press on NV Rebuild ( yes again )
Press on System, Protocol, GPS, IMS
Wait for 30 seconds and then shutdown your phone
Power On phone and you have gps on steroids
I don't want to try the other solution (install ported S5 stock rom) because I think I'll loose know 0x00 status and I'll become 0x01...
Does anybody know what can I do to have working GPS?

You need fresh firmware to check if this is software issue or hardware
download from sammobile.com/firmware and flash by Odin
if problem remains with flashing same region firmware then try another region
after that if still gps problem remains u should take it to service center to check its gps sensor
:good:

I've tested 2 or 3 stock roms (PHE - Spain, and BTU - Uk) And it still doesn't works.
GPS sensor could not be because GPS TEST (google play apk) locates 22/23 satellites in few seconds, but it doesn't gets LINK to anyone...
¿? Please help!
Thanks. Regards.
Maybe you could try GPS fix if you're rooted

Do you know A-GPS? This feature requires Internet connection to work.
Try to turn on Internet connection (3G or WiFi) while the GPS is fixing the location.
This will speed up the fixing process, especially when you've moved to a new location.

What is GPX Fix?
I've had the same issues you're having. My fix was to restore the phone completely. If that doesn't work, your GPS detection might be malfunctioning.
