All the specs I've seen list only Chinese LTE bands. Anyone know the data for the US model?

Answered my own question:
LTE FDD:B2/B4/B5/B12/B17 WCDMA:B1/B2/B4/B5 GSM:850/900/1800/1900MHz
Chinese model has support for CDMA, no such luck here. A no go for Vzw and Sprint.

4G / LTE bands
I have an Honor 5X with the model number : KIW-L21
I think it may be the European or Middle East version of the Honor 5X.
Does anyone know which 4G / LTE bands this model supports ?
Does it support the LTE band 40 (2300) ?
Thank you
Why does CPU-Z show Snapdragon 615 for this device. I use model KIW-L22 model or the Indian version. Can anyone confirm this?
sorry, duplicate the post. did not find how to delete.

Anyone have issues with the GPS in the USA
Hello. I am debating between the Honor 5X and the BLU Vivo 5. Both have dual-SIM and microSD support along with T-Mobile USA LTE bands. Did anyone have any problems with the GPS losing signal frequently? Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!

OTG support is being worked on and needs a custom kernel. Someone added OTG support to 1 of the models of Honor 5x but it is not available for all yet. I think it works on KIW-L21.
As far as Fast charging I think the fastest this device charges is about 1hr 40min even with a Fast charge cable/charger. I do not miss Fast charging one bit seeing how the battery on this phone is best I have ever seen. You have to be gaming "hard" to kill this battery in a day IMO.
does honor 5x's camera supports manual mode? planning to get this device.
The battery has been incredible for me. No worry on fast charging so far. Charging is just fine lol. I just have not needed it. I have not really come close to killing it in a day.

LTE Version with bigger battery on the way, called Moto G 4G (2015)
Motorola is soon launching a new revision of the second gen Moto G with LTE support, a bigger 2390 mAh battery and 16GB of internal storage.

It's usually that way. Every time I buy something, a newer and better version comes out. Why pack everything into a new phone when you can make a fairly decent phone that sells well, while leaving out some really great things that will make the old phone look outdated.

Yeah but honestly I expected an update because right now the Moto E 2015 has better hardware then the Moto G 2014, newer faster soc, LTE, bigger battery... and that really makes no sense.
I have this version, is the xt1078. I dont found much about this version or someone who have too.
Motorola is forcing me to move to this version. It's unacceptable for those who bought the Moto G 2014 version to release a better phone of the same model 6 months later on the market.

So it's been released in Brazil only, how great Motorola...
blah I love my Moto G 2014, but figures. A bigger battery is welcome, but why not a 3000mAH? The Chassis would fit it. I personally don't care about 4G though, my area has bad coverage at best. 3G is good enough for me anyway.

Do you know how root this version?
So far, I do not see any talk of this version being released in the US; only Brazil and Europe. Additionally, if you are feeling jealous of the increased batter, remember that LTE does typically consume a bit more battery. It may be a "wash" between the two.

In China, I bought one, which is XT1079
The 2nd Gen 4G is now showing on motorola.co.uk for pre-order £159, estimated delivery 23rd March.
I think i'll be picking one up to replace my aging Gnex.
Nice addition.
Model number for this new Moto G is XT 1072 according to google search for Model: SM4031AE7B1
And in tech info, it seems to be a Dual-SIM LTE model. Most likely the 2nd SIM can be used either 3G only or 4G only.

Fairly standard release cycle, so I wouldn't call it "unacceptable". There will probably be a Moto G 2015 later this year also. Since they did this exact same thing with the first Moto G, it should have been expected anyway.
Not a huge upgrade IMO anyway. 3G is plenty fast for every day tasks and the bigger better is probably offset by the fact that LTE drains your battery faster. More internal storage is good, but with the SD slot it doesn't seem that significant.

Actually I say that in the start of the Review Video. But ok, here again then, it quickcharges from 0-70% (2 1/2 hour) but the last 30% are charged pretty slow. So it ends up with about 3 hours total time.

Not really, it feels like metal/alloy, definitely not like plastic. The thickness seems to be okay. Compared with the Note 3, I don't think there is the big difference. Gaming and UI performance is IMO really good and fast on the Redmi 3, maybe even a little better than on the Note 3, but the Redmi 3 also has a smaller screen (720p) so that could be one of the reasons, why it feels snappier.

No, probably just CPU-Z that can't detect SD616 correct and then it thinks it is the 615. It is just the tools that you use that can't show the correct information, so they show false info. I wouldn't worry about it.

from the research ive done this device lacks support for LTE bands in the US. So at best you would only be able to get 3G speeds

The phone was launched by Bollywood celebs Randeep Hooda and Nimrat kaur. Honor President George Zhao graced the occasion. MTV presenter Bani J anchored the event.
The event was very successful with a large crowd from the media. Core fans made it even more special with their presence.
Let's talk about the design, look and specifications of the phone.
Honor 8 comes with The innovative bionic 12MP dual lenses, one lens allows for rich color and the other lens is monochrome to give your images more details, light and increased sharpness. Together they help you capture crisper, more detailed photos of stunning quality to match up the standard of a DSLR camera. Phone has a built-in dual ISP which improves focus, speed, and process time when you take pictures and hence the images are more stabilized, crisp and of best quality. Phone has a 8 MP front shooter as well with perfect selfie mode to give you the best in class selfie images.
Honor 8 comes with Android Marshmallow out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 skin on top and sports a 5.2 inch full HD IPS screen display. The 5.2-inch FHD display with a 96% NTSC, color enhancement, and dynamic pixel-level contrast adjustment provides a better viewing experience, with vivid and crisp images. The display looks stunning. Phone is powered by Huawei’s in house Hi-Silicon Kirin 950 chipset (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex A53) with i5 co-processor and leading 16nm FinFET plus SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM enables flawless multitasking and seamless gaming.
The Honor 8 variant launched in India comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage and is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). On connectivity options, the Honor 8 includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (latest ac band is included for faster and better Wi-Fi connectivity), Bluetooth v4.2 which supports Bluetooth low energy (BLE) and fast charging support.
Phone will be available in few latest and popular color options in the market mainly Pearl White, Sapphire Blue, Sunrise Gold color variants in India. The sapphire blue color looks stunning and now we know the reason why the same was liked and appreciated in the European market and phone became very popular in the region and will surely start a trend of new color for handset.
The smartphone features a 3000mAh battery. With 9V/2A fast-charging technology the battery gets charged up to 47% in just 30 minutes and have you covered for the entire day so you need not to worry about the phone running out of juice in critical time. And this time user need not to worry about the fast charger to buy them separately as the phone comes with the fast charger out of the box.
Additionally, during the launch, the company also announced the Honor 8 Smart variant and Honor Holly 3 phone priced at Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 9,999 respectively.

Honor 8 did not satisfy me as it doesn't have dual sim support
Seems that it won't support VoLTE out of the box.
Honor 8 Smart is similar to Honor 5C. There are few plus points in it which are mentioned in my post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5c/how-to/honor-5c-vs-honor-8-smart-difference-t3479156 . Still its not worth for double the amount of 5C.

Maybe later or not much people in India using dual sim yet...
Reliance Jio 4g has arrived india just now which is providing free calls and data till december 16.
Sinve it is a newly launched network, most of us are thinking to give it a try without sacrificing our primary sim.
So especially a this point of time where people are expecting dual sim, the single sim variant won't be that much useful as we are unable to use freely available things
Too bad they didn't go with dual sim

The Honor 6X was one of my favorite budget phones of last year. It came out in October of 2016 and the next release is expected to come out in October as well. Here are all the rumors about the phone so far:
Price
The expected launch price for the Honor 7X is $225 USD. This is around the same price as the 6X which launched at just a little over $200 as well. This keeps the 'X' model phone as one of the best values that Honor has to offer.
Design
If the pictures above are accurate, we will be seeing a completely new design for the Honor 7x. This would be a great change since the 6x and 5x seemed to struggle to find their identity in this department.
Display
It shouldn't be a surprise that the Honor 7X will most likely come with a 1080x1920 display. Once again, we will probably see the same 5.5" screen size as well.
Storage
For storage options there will be 32GB and 64GB models. No word on if the SD card slot will still be there, but Honor has been pretty consistent with offering an SD card slot in all of their phones. There is no reason to expect not to see it in the 7X
Camera
As for the camera it's expected to have a dual-camera setup with 12MP monochrome sensor + 12MP RGB sensor.
Battery
Honor may be going for a massive 4000 mAh battery in the Honor 7X. This would be the most significant upgrade for this new device.
Chipset and RAM
Expect to see the Kirin 670 which is a mid-range chipset. There will most likely see 4GB of RAM in this phone, just like the previous 6X.
That's everything that is known about this phone so far.

This phone initially has been presented with the name Honor V9 Mini, but yesterday an unknown device received a 3C certification in China, revealing the phone's true name: Honor 7X. I read that the price will be around 1499 Yuan for the 32GB variant and 1799 Yuan for the 64GB, something like 188€ for the 1st and 224€ for the 2nd. The operative system should be Nougat 7.1 with EMUI 5.1, and it should mantain the same position of the central fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, as the 6X. It should have an USB type-A port, and the hexa-core CPU should have 2 Moscow custom cores on 2,2 GHz, 4 Cortex A-53 cores on 2 GHz and the GPU should be a Mali-G7-MP4. Sadly, the good old 3,5mm audio jack should be missing. Oh yes, i've seen these 2 pictures that looks exactly the same phone from the picture in OP.

Me to, battery on honor 8 pro is pretty good performed.
What? Why usb type A port its not logical and why no headphone jack!! Do they want to ruin their phones

Dunno about the USB, but as i observed from recent reviews about recent devices on tech sites, the remotion of the headphone jack is a bad choice that other OEMs already took in consideration from at least one year on other phones... An example? There's a rumor saying that the Google Pixel 2 won't have it. It's only a rumor, but even the idea scares me.
Removing the headphone jack is a bad choice, especially for a mid-range device
Am I the only one finding similarity in design with OP5 except fingerprint scanner obviously

It takes so much time to release in india.
Due to Huawei's recent marketing decisions (removing every available update package from their database, not providing android 7.0 to Honor 5X, disabling via software some NFC chips on Honor 6X, etc) and the possibility that this phone will miss an headphone jack, I'm sure I won't ever buy, and neither suggest to anyone, it.
I prefer even number...so maybe 8x...
Looks promising
Hi, is there any chance that the honor 7X will be available in philippines
