lol ... Your account should be banned.
i think there's two, and i've tried them both - but back on v5 if that helps. both can be downloaded here: http://www.miui.com/download-110.html
the first one is miui_i9505_shiro_5.5.22_297f4c9327_4.4.zip - works ok but google apps won't work & I can't get titanium to run (freezes at 'checking for sqllite'). I've tried both clean flash and dirty on top of v5. In a clean flash wifi won't enable.
the second one is miui_i9505_rainbow_5.5.22_6a27167d52_4.4.zip - everything was great with this apart from one thing, 3rd party apps can't switch on mobile data. this is shown as 4.4 kitkat so might not be linnked to the lollipop changes, but even with a rooted phone various toggles i tried & more importantly automateit couldn't enable mobile data (it can disable no problem).
so for me, one has wifi probs, the other data toggle probs. both deal breakers so i'm back on the one here.
another Shiro version released today, same link as above. trying it later...
edit: still hates titanium.
Are there any mirror for these downloads? I cannot do better than 3K/s
I'm surprised people actually want to run MIUI. As good as it's interface is, and as beautiful as it runs, it ain't a patch on any TW ROM. Very strange.
And I use a genuine Xiaomi phone as well!!

I don't see why people like MIUI vs TouchWiz or AOSP, or CM.
MIUI is big and bloated and slow and full of Chinese unnecessary dog****. The Redmi Note 4G (my phone) runs MIUI V6 and seems to have lots of problems but when I flashed a Lollipop CM12, improved hellishly, but no camera so I couldn't keep it

each to their own I guess. I've used miui for a couple of years now, occasionally trying other roms but never last more than a few hours before restoring.
not bothered about convincing anyone else tho.

Oh I wasn't looking for an argument, was just hoping you could tell me what I'm missing when I switch away. The phone I have right now, runs MIUI, so trust me, I've got lots of experience, but to me, it just isn't worth the bother. Plus, their update cycle is painful.
I guess it depends though, if you're a developer MIUI really isn't for you, but perhaps as a user, it might be more appealing. I find MIUI a really awkward platform to develop on.

Hi!!
I need seriously help with Resurrection Remix ROM which ported to especially for Lenovo a6000 Plus, it has 64 bit OS (author: Amodindo). You can found the ROM here: http://www.techolite.com/34318/lenovo-a6000-resurrection-remix-rom-5-8-8-64-bits.html
This is very very great ROM, nice performance and battery usage and lots of feature. But unfortunately this ROM has annoying bug, if you try to lock GPS to the satellites with maps or other GPS info app, your phone will rebooted instantly. Yup this is very annoying bug especially if you use your phone for navigating or play with geo-location based games. So if you a developer or an expert. Please help with make a fix for this bugs, that will be great help for author of the ROM and user who love this ROM
For your help, Thanks

What is the 'No SIM' bug? By the way there is a CM12.1 by Satgass which has no bugs. I am currently running the same.
This rom has the problem of random reboots. It suddenly reboots while playing games.

Wait until tomorrow. I will test for any other bugs. GPS didn't reboot my phone but will check again. And I have no idea what the 'no SIM' bug is but my phone is getting proper network coverage and cellular data works just fine. The rom felt a bit sluggish after installing but got pretty stable after 3-4 hours. More stable than stock rom and comparable to Satgass' CM12.1. And Xposed works fine as well! Didn't check battery backup though. I will keep on updaing about my experiences. So far the rom is good! Thanks for bringing it to the light.. Wouln't have noticed if had not seen your thread.

Well I checked the rom no bug at all did I face. There is no GPS bug no SIM probpem. Everything works just fine and battery backup is good too.
For me, the no sim bug usually appears within few days of working. After that, the phone refuses to connect via cellular data. Calling is OK, Wi-Fi is OK, but no mobile data anymore. It happened with EVERY CM12.1 based ROM for A6000 I have installed. And believe me, I have tried almost all of them (from techolaty and amodindo). Even the ed300's bugless CM12.1 here from xda dev. I wish you, your phones is OK, but I don't give it another try

Try the one by Satgass from amodindo. I ran it for 2 months and do I tell you, my cellular connection was 2 times more stable than the stock Vibe UI.
---------- Post added at 12:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:06 AM ----------
I will give you the link tomorrow. Gotta search and for some odd reasons the amodindo site does not work on my phone and I am darn too sleepy to power on my PC. That ROM is very good for performance, I switched only because of customizations available in RR ROM.
---------- Post added at 12:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 AM ----------
By the way can you tell me how do I increase camera quality of this phone? Any app? Mod? Especially the video recording quality. That's the only disappointment.

I don't know how about you. But every update of Cyanogen, is worst and worst.
New update = not good working widgets, some features missings.

Yes, I share the same opinion. Like the lockscreen bug, which was fixed start of may in the nightly builds, is still present on the latest build. And then they didn't implemented the weather option correctly.
I totally agree.

Why don't you quit whining and install a custom rom? First Cyanogen OS does not make beta updates they make Stable updates that fix the bugs that were in the previous ROM builds and versions. I flashed there newest COS13.1 build and it works completely fine and my carrier acts much better than it did previously. They also fixed many other issues that you can find out yourself. They are not a ****ty company and OS and you shouldn't be making posts like this. I want the moderators to remove your post because you may of have offended the makers of the stock rom and of the phone itself. Please think twice before you make posts like this as it is hurtful to others

If the lockscreen bugs you were referring to tapping the lockscreen shortcuts rapidly they appear at the status bar, its there but that's a non issue cause you have to really be retarded to be doing that.
The weather provider option isn't available. You have to use a workaround to get it to show up.
Another bug I experience is volume keys skip tracks works intermittently. Really annoying that's its not consistent. It works perfectly on CM13 nightlies so they'll fix it eventually
I also had some really slow charging but a subsequent flash of the fastboot image fixed it.
I love the ROM regardless, it performs great and no major deal breakers, neither do I think Cyanogen is crap. Just chiming in on the bugs

So nice to see people whine about a company which is releasing continuous updates for a 2 year old phone. Isn't that the kind of support that people get on Nexus, but still people find a reason to whine about it.
Buy the OnePlus 2 or 3 and see the Oxygen OS support that you get and then compare it with COS, probably then you will appreciate COS support.

Hello,
I am new to android and recently ordered a Leeco pro3 for $120 (couldn't pass it up). I have read that it does not get ota updates in the US, so I have a few questions. Is there any detriment to using an outdated android version? Can I still run apps like facebook, twitter, and Snapchat? If i flash to lineage, will I still have all of the features (camera, Snapchat and facebook apps, etc)? I know the IR blaster won't work, but this isn't an issue. I just have read that certain apps won't work and want to avoid having a phone with no camera or no social media apps such as Snapchat. Thank you all ahead of time.

If all you need is just core functionality then I would there is nothing wrong with running the stock rom. Everything will work right out of the box and all of those apps you mentioned should run just fine. Not to mention you should get really good battery life. With that said if you like some of the features that come with Nougat based roms such as better Doze and Camera API 2 support so you can install apps like google camera and give you camera a nice performance boost then go for it. I have installed all of the aftermarket roms available in this thread and IMHO Paranoid turned out to be the best. I havent had a single issue with it and it has the latest drivers taken from Oneplus 3's source code.

Thank you for the quick response. Given the fact that you have gone through using custom roms, have you been able to use snapchat on Paranoid? I have read that custom roms cause the app not to work. Also, for someone who has never used an android device, how hard is it to flash a custom rom? I am very interested in having a better camera, as I will be coming from a Lumia 950 XL (it has been deteriorating and Microsoft seems to have given up on W10M.). I know that this isn't on that level, but anything I can do to get the gap smaller is good. I am also interested in other features, but have to ask - is your battery life significantly worse running a custom rom? That would be a turn off. Thank you again.

Nope my battery life is near identical to stock and everything works on Paranoid. My favorite thing about it too is that all viarations of Google camera also work which will give you great pictures and videos if you play around with them far better than stock imho. But play with it first you will find that you can do far more on Android than you can windows mobile. The ecosystem just doesn't compare. If you want to to install a rom then follow the guides but make sure you do your homework before just jumping in. It's not difficult but a screw up could brick your phone. But there are also many guides for unbricking as well
Lineage has new Android versions first, but doesn’t have good battery life on this device, use a different ROM. If you want Snapchat, you can use a ROM that passes Safetynet or maybe Magisk’s hide feature. Oreo ROMs don’t pass safetynet, but some other Nougat ROMs do.

This is great news that the camera actually improves. Do you have snapchat issues with this rom? I just want to ensure I am able to enjoy everything android has to offer (well, as much as possible on a year old phone for now), as I have missed quite a bit of apps on W10M.

Paranoid does, so does AICP I think, both for nougut, not Oreo ones yet as SELinux is not working on Oreo. There are others that probably do also, but I haven't tried them yet.

This is tremendous. I am already turning into an android fanboy and I haven't even got the phone. It is quite impressive that the opensource community can get the latest editions stable on these devices. I just saw no need to go buy a galaxy or near $1K smartphone when the SD820 is still a powerhouse in my eyes. Do I have to root to install Paranoid, or just unlock bootloader and flash? (I may be missing a step but am going solely off of how I understood the guides)

SD821, not 820, the model with the 820, the so called elite, has nearly no development.
You have to flash a file to unlock the American model’s bootloader. (The SD821 powered x727 I think it’s called...) the Chinese model x720 has an unlocked bootloader, but is missing US carrier frequencies so it’s worse for Americans.

It looks like there are the same roms though. I even found paranoid. Is the 820 to 821 really that big of a difference? This thing was so cheap.

You are looking in the Pro3 elite forum?

Hmmm... it looks like there is development for it now, no Oreo, but there are some ROMs. I’d still return it though.

Can you post a link to where you bought it from so we can confirm the model and your options?

It stinks because I had an additional coupon bringing this to $120s. A dual sim (necessary for work) phone with a sd820 for that price seemed too good to be true and now it seems it is. However, if I can still get the play store ill be fine on any rom (would prefer a custom).

So ya you got the Elite. I do recall there being a couple of ROMs for that phone just poke around this forum and I believe you will find them.
you can find all the detailed specs here:

The only thing I would really be concerned about is band support and if you will get LTE or not. It looks like its a mixed bag here:

I checked the band support and that's good. Will this come with the play store though? And if not, is there a way to install it on the stock rom? I just want to make sure I have the basic apps (although I'd prefer a custom rom)
Hello,
can anybody please confirm that Xiaomi really managed to break Ant+ support in Android 9 (which means they did not test all features before releasing a new update) I cannot get it to work, see screenshot of Ant tester. It used to work under Android 8.1
Does anybody have an idea how to enable Ant+ again?
Same problem!
Have you found any solution?

Unfortunately no. It surprises me how little reaction I get, I reported to Xiaomi, no response yet. Seems customers are ready to accept things like that these days, I feel really sad and angry, since this seems to affect many Android 9 devices. I wish I hadn't updated from 8.1 at all
You are absolutely right!
I'm hoping for a real solution, but for now I'm using a ant+ dongle connected to the phone with otg cable.
There are a lot of thread reporting faulty ant+ support after updating to pie.
Seems to be issue with google, all devices updated to Pie has the issues.

I create issue

Obviously nobody is using ANT anymore these days? I am really surprised to see how few people actually complain, for me it is essential to get back Ant+ support however

It's mainly used by heart rate belts and other sports devices to transfer such kind of data (like heart rate, etc.) to the phone.
same problem here
