Can't get into recovery after moving superuser zip to 6p - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need your intelligence ladies and gentlemen !! I unlocked the bootloader and everything but it won't boot into recovery! It just stays at the Google words with the lock symbol at the bottom. Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks!

We're going to need some more information. Is unlocking the bootloader the ONLY thing you did? Did you flash a custom recovery?

Your title says something else different than your actual post. So what did you do after you unlock the bootloader? It's suppose to wipe the phone loads past the Google screen to the actual registration. If you can access the bootloader then you have to redo the process and flash the original image file.
or you can flash TWRP recovery via bootloading option. That should work.

I did this method http://youtu.be/zrAuJFUmeUA.

But I guess I should have been clear. I copied superus into 6p then it said to boot into recovery but nothing happened. Stuck on that screen.

I'm not a guru flasher but by skipping around the video of this guy's tutorial, it looks like you missed the part where you had to flash the recovery file/zip. I have no idea how you corrupt your rom if you followed his video step by step. If you can get into boot loader like i said earlier, flash the recovery. If you can't then start all over by downloading the official release images and start over by following xda tutorials or his again.

[Q] In Bootloop, Can you Help?

I was having some pretty serious radio issues with cyanogenmod so I attempted to use RSD Lite which had previously worked like a charm to go back to stock rom (using what came pre-bundled with matt's script v. 1.2)
My phone is unlocked at the bootloader
I have it rooted.
I get the original droid boot loop.
I can definitely get it into a status code 3 AP Fastboot, but none of the tools for the script or RSD lite have gotten me past the droid eye bootloop.
I'm presuming a wipe of the cache will do the trick, but either my googling skills are gone or I'm just too tired after 6 hours.... but I'm unable to get any type of recovery flashed.
My first question is if I am in AP Fastboot, who knows how to get a recovery image flashed so I can see if it's just a cache issue of trying to go from cyanogenmod to stock firmware.
My second question is - Does anyone have a link to a guide to "re-lock" my bootloader in case I need to get this to tech support?
Thanks

First off, after you flash the firmware via fastboot, go back into recovery and do a factory reset. Second, you can't relock the bootloader.
thanks for responding. I wish it was this easy - it's been caught in a loop after trying factory again. I think I'd be able to resolve this if there were a way to wipe everything clear and build from scratch

Download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40682385 chose option one... once flashed boot into recovery factory reset... boot up device... once booted root... install voodoo protect root install update restore root... install custom recovery if desired... I have boot looped I've been stuck at boot logo I've also been stuck with no data n WiFi this has saved me on more times then I can count on 3 separate devices and his utility n what I described has saved me more times then I can count...

I had some issues with aftermarket recoveries and formatting. I'm not sure if you've had any luck or if this is even helpful but assuming you are in fastboot and have the SDK set up...
Extract the stock sbf/XML and grab the recovery image.
At command line enter: "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Reboot with all three buttons and select recovery.
Do factory reset.
Get back into fastboot
And repeat the command above (with different recovery obviously) to reflash a recovery of your choice.
(The official Philz cwm touch posted recently in development subforum works very well with the new 4.3 ROMs)
Hope that helps...if its too basic, please disregard! Good luck.

Can't enter recovery anymore [TWRP]

Yesterday I've been trying to root my device using the official Oneplus video on YouTube . Everything was fine until I tried to flash the recovery. I flashed TWRP recovery using adb fastboot flash recovery (file) but then when I entered recovery the recovery didn't change. So I flashed it again, went into recovery and I finally got TWRP recovery. Then I flashed SuperSU and rooted my device. But now when I try to enter recovery I just get a black screen (OP logo not even showing). I can still enter fastboot and the operating system. If I use a booting app I see the Oneplus logo but after that it's a black screen so I need to press the power button for a couple of seconds to power it on. What can I do to solve this? The recovery is important for me.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT 1: If I check if my bootloader is unlocked using android sdk I see that my bootloader is locked. I am sure that I unlocked the bootloader before rooting my device. My mind is completely ****ed atm do I need to do everything again?

download that toolkit. It worked for many.
Any update on how it worked out?

Toolbox works very well, I think is the best tool for our OnePlus2.

OPT is stuck and I cannot fix it

I was trying to install The paranoid custom rom 6.0.1 to my OPT when I started to running into an issue with boot looping. The phone would run through the bootup animation and then say it way starting up the apps. Once it was done with all the apps it would just start rebooting again. I tried to get into recovery to flash an old rom but I couldnt get in to recovery (holding the volume down and power button just turns the screen on and then back off.) I then tried this firstaid script I found on here that would supposedly install an older twrp and allow me to get into recovery mode, but that has not worked. And now I cannot even get the phone to go to a boot animation, it just sits on the oneplus logo. Adb is not detecting my device on windows or mac, but fastboot is working. At this point I have no idea of what to do, becuase even if I get into recovery I dont have a backup rom stored on my phone. If anyone has any ideas, I please share, I am in desperate need of help here.
Flash fastboot images search and follow naman's unbrick guide, skip the data partition to keep your files

This thread will help you, https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...wrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup-and-more.345478/
if you use twrp recovery and is not working on the Vol+ "-", try this way : RENAME your recovery file into twrp.img and flash it again.
If is not working,
following this thread first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-official-op2-stock-reset-to-oos-3-t3402020
Then repeat my rename recovery method.
SOFT brick
You are a happy owner of a SOFTbricked OP2, happends mostly when you corrupt the partions. It easy to recover by Oneplus guide. You can use the link provided above by colleague on oneplus forum or this one XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/guide-unbrick-recover-oneplus-2-to-t3269543. GO step by step works 100%

Nexus 6p struck in boot loop

Hi,
My Nexus 6p was running the latest OTP update of Android Nougat successfully, Suddenly while using google maps it, restarted and went into a boot loop. All i can see is the unlocked bootloader warning (i had unlocked the bootloader earlier) and then the google logo.
I am able to go into bootloader mode and my system identifies my device as a fastoboot device .
I was able to access my stock recovery but while trying to fix my phone, i tried installing twrp recovery and now whenever I choose the option of recovery mode using my volume keys. it again shows the google logo and nothing happens after that.
I have tried many things, but I am not able to resolve my boot loop. Somebody please help me. Please guide me what should be my approach to this problem
Regards
Ishmeet

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS ONLY IF ANYTHING BETTER DOESNT COME UP BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO FEEL GUILTY IF YOU "FUBAR" YOUR PHONE. I am not an expert in this stuff.. I can only follow instructions and the two videos helped me get out of crappy situation in the past couple weeks.
Follow the two videos below on how to re-install your drivers properly and flash and root Nougat 7.0
First go delete your driver from your PC via Device Manager. Anything that you can associate with N6P or Google.
Then watch this video on how to install new drivers.
This video on how to install Nougat
If you can access fastboot, I would just follow Heisenbergs guide (look In the stickies) and reflash the N stock images manually via fastboot. Also, make sure that you flash the recommended TWRP version that he has linked in his guide otherwise you will have problems with recovery. His guide has saved me multiple times when I messed up my phone.

I think I figured out mine problem. I am not sure what you mean by locked bootloader but in my case I was able to reboot to bootloader by pressing all three buttons (Volume up, Volume down and power button) at the same time.
Once you are there and if your bootloader is already unlocked you can flash your own android. Probably this process is called unbrick your phone. I am surprissed and sad as I am not allowed to post link which can help you. Ask admin.
Any related problem while following process. I can try as I am not very expert.
RIP my English.
Thanks

And that's why it's a good idea if you do ANY tinkering to your phone that you have an unlocked bootloader. I have screwed my phone up a hundred times over but nothing that a fastboot flash of the stock Google images couldn't overcome.
I'm not sure what situation you're in but I would try to get that bootloader unlocked asap. Just know that when you unlock it, every partition on the phone will be completely wiped to include internal storage (sd card).
I wasn't tinkering that's the thing. I was on the Android beta but I have installed those OTA. I would love to be able to unlock the bootloader but none of the commands will work to unlock it because usb debugging was not enabled or the developer options and I can't boot it to change that.

Cannot get to bootloader mode after installing stock

I've been using custom ROMs for a while on my A2017G but decided to get back to stock. Before doing all the bootloader unlocking/rooting etc I backed up my original firmware (Nougat, B09). So I reinstalled the original firmware that I had backed up but somehow lost TWRP in the process (the bootloader is still unlocked). I then used Axon 7 Toolkit to re-install TWRP. Unfortunately I cannot get to bootloader mode through Android Recovery as it reboots normally. Axon 7 toolkit gives me the following notice 'If your device rebooted normally then your device has no access to fastboot. Follow the miflash instructions for the bootloader unlock option to restore your device's fastboot mode'. The thing is the phone is bootloader unlocked so I don't need to unlock again.
Basically, I cannot install TWRP through bootloader mode. I also tried adb-fastboot tool from my Pc but same thing happens, phone reboots normally.
What I really wanted is bring back the phone to full stock, including re-locking the bootloader.
I also want to have the bootloader re-locked again before selling the phone.
Any help/ suggestions much appreciated.
Good lord, don't use the Q&A mode for a simple question. XDA Labs opens it on a browser window
Follow Controllerboy's guide, but only the part where he installs TWRP with axon7tool. After that, boot into TWRP and follow raystef66's guide on how to get rid of the 5 seconds screen. That'll give you fastboot. Then flash a full stock system, stock recovery, and you'll probably be safe enough to relock
But I'd ask the next owner if he/sge actually cared on having the bootloader unlocked. Relocking it is risky as $hit you know.
Sorry, am kind of new and was not sure which way to post my comment. Thank you for responding and the advice. I managed to install full stock, actually downgraded to Marshmallow so I can get to fastboot/bootloader mode now. Thanks again.
You can still have bootloader mode on Nougat if you follow raystef66's guide. Plus it will hide the 5 secs screen
Actually I discovered I can't get into Fastboot mode from stock marshmallow so guess it's back to nougat with raystef66's guide.
