You don't. Simple search would have told you that.

It's inexcusable that this late into the game that people still ask this question.
Yes, everyone learns, and everyone starts somewhere. But this is legitimately basic info in the unlocking process now

There's someone here who can answer an honest answer, no cheap tricks?

That's normal.
Restore to stock and lock will make it go away. Be very careful about being 100 proc stock before locking though.

Totally normal when you unlock your bootloader, no consequence at all. I usually look up, blink a few times and its gone.

Heisenberg's tutorial stated that it was completely normal and there's nothing you can do to make it go away

You are being honest answers. There's nothing you can do about it, had you actually searched before creating this thread you would have found that information very easily. How did you unlock your bootloader?

I'm not comfortable flashing and changing things just yet but I read a guide someone here wrote that mentions that exact thing you ask about. It explains that what you see is normal and why that is. I think Heisenberg wrote the one I was reading on the 6P.
Would recommend reading and learning as much as possible to avoid headaches.

Corrupt message,

Hey guys, so I own a Nexus 6 (shamu) not a 6p, but just a curiosity question. I was told that the dm verity for the 6p was in the bootloader and not the kernel, it's built into the kernel on the shamu and the solution is just a custom kernel to remove the message, as for the 6p, is there a known way to remove those messages seeing as it is in the bootloader this time around? Nobody want's to corrupt a bootloader, or you're screwed! Lol
No.

Thanks guys for your responses! Appreciate it! It was a super noob question, but like I said, I own a shamu and it's different. Thanks!

dm verity is part of the kernel. it can be seen in the linux tree. the bootloader just has a message about being unlocked. i was able to disable dm verity in AOSP when compiling android, without modifying the kernel. just a command in the fstab tells it to verify. the message in the boot loader is just to make sure you know it is unlocked.

So a simple command can disable verity messages in this case? The others in the thread here were saying it's pretty much impossible.

No. A simple command does not disable verity, but modifying boot does. The messages that you get about "possibly corrupt" are from the boot loader. If relocked, then it would go away.
It lamens terms it is saying "Hey i'm vulnerable! Read what you do before you flash that Galaxy S9 Rom on me!"
I honestly don't mind the message, and its only on screen for 3 seconds...I don't get the big deal.
And you can't compare phones....the Nexus 6 and Nexus 6P....are different phones....they use different everything and google is movong towards a more secure android experience so expect a plethora of corrupt this and broken that messages. Haha
I actually borked my friends Nexus 6 for a good 5 minutes a few months back because I didnt know you had to flash a modified boot and all we did was root it! But lesson learned and not one problem since!
But the message won't go away, it's to tell the next person you sell it to you did stuff to it. That's what she said.

Yea, not so much comparing the phones, just using the Nexus 6 as an example. Yea the 6p is definitely different from the older Nexus models, and I remember someone saying something about an efuse thing you can trip and can't reverse, much like Samsung phones. How does this work? Is it like Samsung where it will always say it's been tampered with forever?

I guess I am very confused at why you're asking this...are you truing to figure out if the message means its corrupt? Because it more than likely isn't...it is just warning of possoble corruption you can has.
And you do lnow fuses can't be fixed once they're blown...you should have answered your own question haha

Yea, the messages i know are just to let you know, the fuse is what i was wondering about. Kind of how the older Galaxy phones, the flash counter was able to be reset with the triangle away app and root, the nexus 6p is permanent? Yea, some noob questions, but it's because I own a shamu and never had to worry about any of this new stuff lol

No, the Nexus 6P is not permanent unlock. You can easily relock. There is no "unlock counter" or a "flash counter". I have mine unlocked the fuse I have read about elsewhere is still NOT blown. If you do call up google for support and you are unlocked, rooted, and/or custom ROM, then their first trouble shooting will be to download and flash the factory images. If the flashing of factory images does not fix your problem, then they will step up from there. Like replacing the phone. Unlike Samsung.

Cool! So the Qfuse isn't even blown by installing custom files and unlocking the bootloader? I've read other places that people said you can never relock your bootloader, glad that's not true!

I just used "fastboot flashing unlock", but I think if you use "unlock_critical" it might blow. I am not going to do this.
The "unlock_critical" allows you to flash a custom bootloader and radio. This may help if you want to flash a bootloader without the corrupt message, but it is only visible for a few seconds in booting. Flashing a custom bootloader is very risky. Not worth it for me. Bad bootloader flash or bad bootloader code and no fastboot after, thus no flashing stock bootloader.
Most will only need "unlock" to flash vendor, system, boot, and recovery.

So on the 6p, you need unlock_critical to flash the radio? Doesn't every factory image come with a new radio file? So you may have to blow the qfuse if you want the newest bootloader and radio file?

We need more than root to use TWRP. The bootloader has to be unlocked. It's not very likely that you'll see any Samsung US versions unlocked, they've been locked down pretty damn tight for years.
I'm looking pretty hard at the Pixel XL.. I miss flashing roms every other night lol.

Oh but it most certainly does.
IF the OP managed to crack the bootloader THEN we can progress on the TESTING phase of a TWRP recovery. If he didn't unlock (or crack) the bootloader then thus it is locked, right? Which only answers the question.
One could easy argue that he didn't realize that the bootloader was locked. Okay. So let's do that. We'll assume as such. So let's wonder together now. Why would a device considered the best (and most popular) Android phone on the market not have a custom recovery? Hmm. That doesn't make sense! So instead of posting the inquiry in the appropriate How To Root section... another thread is opened about it. Undoubtedly, if the OP had read about it (s)he would have found that the bootloader is locked. Right? Because what other explaination could there be for the most popular Android phone on the market?
It really just means that every question has an answer but not every answer can *only* be found by starting yet another thread.
But... maybe... just maybe... he DOES have an unlocked bootloader. Wouldn't that be neat? Wouldn't we like to know how? The absence of such is the very reason we don't have TWRP available. Again... a little reading would lead one to discover that very minor detail. Of which the OP clearly didn't do enough. So... the moral of my point is...

I don't get how else should do it. It prevents a load of other threads being created. If we tend to be soft on people who don't use a function that was created for a reason, we would be having threads over threads of asking for something that has been answered NUMEROUS times.

Once we are all able to unlock ours then we can develop a fully functional recovery.
I know how you say it.... hey noob topic starter man (just kidding ) that question has been asked a few times already, do a search if you need more information. The same questions over and over tend to clog these threads up. But what clogs them even more, is the multiple flaming responses with no answers or guidance. . Or better yet, you can say... Lock BootLoader after Rooting?

Thanks for taking time to read my query.

Technically i believe you could and would still be rooted, but I've always seen it advised NOT to lock your bootloader again until you are on 100% stock (right now your boot.img isn't stock since it's patched for root).

thats because we are using tampered boot.img. Is it possible in-future we can use original boot.img ?

If you modify your device, bottom line, you should leave it unlocked so you can fix things or go back to stock if needed, otherwise you could turn it into a paper weight. Even if root is done without modifying the boot.img, I would still keep it unlocked as there are usually still system changes.

It's worth noting that the Essential PH-1 uses an A/B partition system so any advice given here would not be helpful in the slightest for devices that don't have the same file system. Quickly doing a search of your phone reveals it's not an A/B partitioned system so following advice here could potentially lead to you actually destroying your phone.
could you lock the BL once rooted if in fastboot mode it lists device tampering = false?

You must not have read them carefully. The ONLY way to remove the FRP lock is to use Odin to revert to 6 with the ROM ending in PL4. You won't find a way while still running 7.
edit: BTW, once you remove the FRP lock, the tablet will update itself, OTA, back to the latest 7 from Samsung. So, don't worry about using 6 to get rid of the lock.

What difference does it make what firmware the tablet is running now? In order to remove the FRP the tablet has to be set back to the PL4 firmware and that can be done no matter what it currently has.
edit: The ability to add a fake wifi entry, highlighting it and choosing "advanced" is the key. That feature is ONLY available in a few Android 6 ROMS. The one ending in PL4 being one of them.

It matters because it's possible to remove FRP on nougat depending on the firmware build.

Then why not just post what version to flash and how to use it to remove FRP? Rather than, "what version are you running?", flash version "xyzzz" and do "such and such". Personally, I'd like that info if, and only if, it is easier than the 6 method. And doesn't cost any money. If you are selling something, then forget it.
edit; I take that back. If the OP can't figure out how to use the 6 method, and you can sell them something using 7, then more power to you.

Are you for real?
Do you think I'd spoil a perfectly good rep on these forums to sell something that can be obtained for free? In future do your research before replying to members with 'Recognized contributor' status.
Also no, I will not post up the method for general consumption, so any Tom **** and Harry can breeze by and happily bypass the security on a questionably obtained device.

Yes, I'm for real. How about you? There is already a method for bypassing the FRP posted here for any Tom **** and Harry. If you are so concerned, take the whole thing to PM. Otherwise, your playing coy makes it look like you have something to sell.

I will take it to PM if the OP needs further assistance.
I don't care if a method is available already for MM.
I appreciate if you'd quit with the ridiculous assumptions.
I am not, never have done or ever will sell something on XDA.
I do what I do for free. If you'd actually take the time to do a little research, you be aware of that, but obviously not.
I'm not going to get into a tit for tat with you as it pointless and will refer this to a mod if it goes any further.
Let's keep it on topic.

If you wish to remove it you have to relock your bootloader otherworldly the warning stays!

yes its very annoying
I have also searched for it,
But i think yet its not possible to remove that
Because same kind of thing is also there in xiaomi phones
Showing unlocked at the bottom
I had the Moto G4 Plus before this. You couldn't shave off the boot time, but it could be flashed over using logo.bin. So, no more warning screen.
To be honest, I don't know if something like this exists for X00TD.

Yes, it's annoying AF, but for our device as of now there is no script or anything we can flash to get rid of it.
Doesn't affect the boot time though.
For going back to stock part - Lol, he was being sarcastic. If you want twrp, you gotta keep bootloader unlocked and bear those stupid warnings during boot.
