Defy Baseband issue with Vodafone Mumbai, India

Hi,
I am running CM 7.1.11 on my Defy with Red lense. My current Cell Provider is Vodafone. I have installed the Defy BaseBand switcher as well- when I could not access 3G. This worked, however when I force the phone to 2G mode- from settings/ or if phone looses 3g signal it jumps to GPRS mode instead of EDGE (2.5G). Also Battery consumption has drastically increased and I only get half a day's battery life.
Any pointers please

I had created a CWM ZIP which has baseband files extracted from stock ROM. This worked well for me, on Vodafone Mumbai. Try it out.

Now Switching to Airplane mode and back did the trick I guess- It shows EDGE on screen- let me monitor it for battery life.

Can give me a tip for tatadocomo also plz unable to get calls

If any body facing same problem try each an every option in baseband till u dont get network just i did and works....:good:

Hello everybody first sorry for my bad english 'coz i'm from France so i buyed a s4 2 weeks ago with this issue now i changed the sim card and the sim card slot but the problem recomes i tried to put a paper folded on the cover it worked but for 1 day someone can tell me the solution please ?

It is possible that the replacement slot is also defective. If the replacement is not defective, it could be a problem with the motherboard connector.

Yes it works on other phones the issue is the sim card works for 5min after it says unable to detecte sim card when i putted a papier behind thé cover it worked for 1 day only .....

Doesn't detect the sim even with a paper clip or it does detect the sim with a paper clip?
Did the phone always behave this way? Phone was new or used? Imei in phone matches imei on the label under battery? Model in download mode matches model on the label?

The phone detect sim with both solution now i will see if the imei is the same

Don't even bother. This is a known issue, and in this case changing the SIM card tray will not help. The fault is on the motherboard itself, and thus the motherboard needs to be replaced.

Now im searching a phone under 400 euros i think will wait for the price of s7 goes down now i will keep the s4 and a little phone for 10 euros :good: for my sim

Now im on the thor rom

The "Thor" ROM? I recommend flashing the latest stiock ROM to see what happens. If you still get the error, it may be time to change the motherboard.

Flashed stock rom nothing changes i think will sell it because because change motherboard will be priced too much

Feedback arent good so i saw in ebay one is for 50 euros tested and with warranty

But the feedback arent good coz after 1 or 2 day motherboard died ebay is more secure so i bought the phone for 40 euros and with the cost of motherboard 50 euros i think 90 euros is a good price for a s4

Well this link that u gave me i think it is a good seller i think i will order soon because s4 is a beautiful device in 40 euros i had a amazing device but with an issue .... so ... lets try that motherboard

Given the prices of the S4 on Swappa, buying a replacement motherboard shouldn't be too pricey, should it?

I don't know about the differences between middle east and europe version, but it's running on my europe version fine for around two days now.
I posted the link in the respective thread trying to wake Druger into adding it to his list, but nothing yet.

How long it takes to start the phone after update? Mine is on Honor sign like 5 minutes now and I am starting to be anxious...

thanks, update worked great on non-rooted L51. User data retained and 'update.app' placed in a folder called 'dload' on external micrSD.
Whole process took about 15mts.

Firmware for s928 smart watch

Hi,
This is my first post on this forum. I wish to ask about firmware for S928 (Makibes G01).
I update firmware by wrong app and now watch only vibrate and screen lighting.
But still I can connect watch by bluetooth, so I can push update by nrf toolbox.

Dab connection

Hi i have a china head unit that runs android 8,1 oreo. Have a problem that i cant fix so hope someone can help me.
When i start dab+ ( using zudab) i get an annoying mirror screen where i shall grant acces to dab usb and prees ok. This happens every time i start the app. Cant find a link in any menu where i can make this acces standard so that i dont have to do this all the time.
HELP PLEASE !!!!!
