Call the Shield Community Force! - Shield Tablet General

Hi !
If u got an Nvidia Shield Tablet (K1 or Not), u can not benefit of the good and free remote control service provided by the TeamViewer QuickSupport App : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamviewer.quicksupport.market
Effectively TeamViewer support a lot of brands and models but unfortunately not the Nvidia Shield Tablet :
https://www.teamviewer.com/en/help/341-How-can-I-control-my-Android-device-with-TeamViewer
http://i.imgur.com/kurBad2.jpg
But this can change if we mass mailing TeamViewer and ask them to add the remote control functionality for the Nvidia Shield Tablet at : [email protected]
It take only 1 minute to do !
Please help me, help you and finally help the Shield !
Thanks u

The deal here is not to remote control a Computer, the deal is to remote control the Shield Tablet from your Computer !

I remote control my SHIELD TABLET using TEAMVIEWER and QUICKSUPPORT without issue and it worked on the first try and always has...
I'm not really sure what the problem is.
I also use mobizen, which tends to be more stable for long connections and less wonky when doing a lot of typing.

As you could already see http://i.imgur.com/fOfMi64.jpg on my Shield Tablet K1, Teamviewer notify : "This Android device supports screen sharing only" -> then no remote control on this device is possible !
I bought my Shield Tablet two weeks ago
It's a new one
It's a K1 and not rooted version
and I updated it to Android 6.0 !
Typically TeamViewer QuickSupport need add-ons to remote control on the host device : https://play.google.com/store/search?q=teamviewer add-on and there is no add-on for the Nividia Shield Tablet Device -> then it can't work !
Do you have a VideoCapture (from your computer) to demonstrate that Teamviewer Remote Control work on your Shield ? Cause for this time sorry, but it's really hard to believe !

The shield is practically AOSP with a few apps and very minor additions... there shouldn't be a need for a plugin for such a vanilla-esque system to run teamviewer.
My tablet is on lollipop, so perhaps the problem is a MM compatibility issue or simply a config issue throwing a false-positive error.
It does work on the shield for me, and it always has from the very first attempt.
The very fact that you are asking me to spend time and effort to create a video... just to prove i am not lying to you... is offensive and ludacris.
I really don't care if you believe me or not. In fact, I am now regretting wasting my time trying to help you with confirmation it works and a suggested alternative in the first place since you just argue with anything anyone says on the matter.
good luck.

Ok, then just give me your TeamViewer ID and i can see if i can really get the control of your Shield

Then i don't think to be alone with this problem, it's a tablet, it's not a computer, it's simple !
Then the topic stay active and all the others users get problem as me are invited to Mail the TeamViewer Team as i explain in my first post ...
Anyway thanks to try to help me with this issue ...
Bye

I tried it. worked for me
QuickSupport and Host.
real Shield Tablet EU LTE (not K1)
Lollipop

Is it a marshmallow issue? Do they support marshmallow? I have the older one so it works for me fine, but I don't have marshmallow yet.
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk

Hum,
It's more than strange ...
- First, because only me seem to get this problem on TeamViewer with this Tablet ?
- Second, because i got my Shield Tablet K1 on the 24 december 2015 and i automatically got the Marshmallow update (without do nothing) just few days later (in all the cases before 2016, i'm pretty sure) ...
Then only me got Marshmallow on this device or what ?
Anyway, do you have the K1 version of this tablet ?
And did you install TeamViewer add-ons, or whatever ?
Thanks

Hi guys ...
I come back to you ...
Today i took some time to reset (restore factory settings) my Nvidia Shield K1 because i want to come back on Android Lollipop 5.1 and really test if remote control from Teamviewer work on it.
I'm ****ing unlucky because after reset (it took long time) my Shield tablet back to his initial settings but with Android Marshmallow 6.0 ... then WTF !
When i bought this tablet 1 month ago, it was on Lollipop 5.1, i'm 100% sure of this ...
It's mean after update to Android Marshmallow 6.0 this tablet can never come back to Lollipop ?
That factory reset are not a factory reset at all !
Any ideas to come back on the real factory settings i got when i bought this tablet ?
Thank you ...

Hi,
A factory reset will only wipe the user data from os (well a bit more than that) but will not remove or change current firmware or os
It is possible to revert to lollipop if you please, the best way to do this is wipe all from fastboot and restore the factory images of firmware/software direct from nvidia, there should be a guide in this forum or possibly at nvidias site, I'm on mobile now so its not fun to search this stuff out but if you need links or instructions let me know and I'll be glad to help

Huum Ok Ok, i understand now ...
That's mean the factory reset is not a factory reset ...
Because the factory put Android Lollipop 5.1.1 on my tablet but when the update of Android Marshmallow 6.0 is done the factory reset option never come back to Lollipop 5.1.1 !
But now i know it's normal ^^
Big thanks ...

Hey, I have a problem. I can't use streaming from Android to PC via QuckSupport, it works with my phone though.
It requires addon - when i install it this pops up (Application could not have been installed)

And my PC says - That it will install the addon before i can use it but I can't :/

Hello, for the record I have a brand new Shield Tablet K1 here on Marshmallow 6.0.1 and the TeamViewer Host app will only allow viewing the tablet screen & no remote control of the tablet.
It sounds like things are working fine on KitKat from the above replies. If anyone has success remote controlling the tablet with the TeamViewer Host or QuickSupport apps please share, thanks.

Asus Zenpad 8.0 Z380C - Any Custom Roms Available?

Hi Guys,
Sorry I'm an absolute newbie on forums so if I'm doing anything wrong please correct me
I have bought the Asus Zenpad 8.0 Z380C last weekend and I really like the tablet but the bloatware on it is absolutely killing me :crying: and my RAM. I was wondering if there is any way to get a clean version of the ASUS stock firmware or any clean custom rom for this device. I can't seem to find any dev working on this. The stock rom isn't bad but it feels like all the unused apps are slowing the tablet which is a shame as it is a good cheap tablet which can do much more.
THanks!
Niels
You need root your Z380C and unintall all bloatware.

This is the second post asking about root that you provided this particular link to and touted it as a resolution to the problem. Do you own a z380c and/or have you personally tried the method outlined in the page you have linked or did you simply google this answer?
That page just lists garbage software that's in Russian and Chinese that requires you to do surveys to download (i.e. scam software) and neither of those programs are able to root the z380. The first clue this page is crap is that the screenshots are for different devices! This is NOT an answer to the question asked.
OP: I'm looking for an answer too, if I find it, I will post it here. Good luck!
Yes I have z380c and now I know my links are bad (I used only google) I am sorry. I think here will be solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096
I read about the temp rooting and untill now all have failed with me. I think we will have to wait untill the locked bootloader gets cracked or bypassed. I would love to see the new CM 13 on my zenpad. Just installed it on my note 3 lte.
I am afraid z380c is not very dilated. For CM is not interesting. But who knows.
Any good news?

This ROM is for the Qualcomm version of the tablet, not Intel as the OP requested and will not work.
This method worked for me, remember to rename the downloaded file "root-v2-z380c.img" to "root.img" (without the quotes) before the command "fastboot boot root.img"
good luck

Zenpad 8.0 Z380C (P022) Custom ROM or help with building a custom ROM ??
I'm also searching for a custom Rom for Asus Zenpad 8.0 Z380C (P022).
As I'm not a software-expert I was not able to build a custom ROM for myself, but I'm still trying/fighting. Downloaded the Kernel source from Asus, still errors when trying to make the kernel. And afterwards?
Anyone here who have experience with these things and can help me?
Reason: Bluetooth "bug" (or however you name it) in Android 5, therefore a big wish to go for Android 6 or 7. Makes no sense to scrap the tablet and buy a new one. And I'm still thinking the performance could be way better when disabling/deleting all the stuff you don't need on this device (bloatware is already removed). Maybe I'm wrong...
Zenpad is rootet.

I've managed to root it too!
Which apps can you safely remove?
I'm using Uninstall Master, but if you have a better alternative, let me know.
I've read people using Xposed to get more control (to remove ZenUI), but also people who bricked their devices with it.
Can anyone confirm Xposed isnt working or is working for Z380C?

Hi,
I installed SuperSU, BuxyBox and Root Browser after rooting. Maybe there are better options, I don't know since I'm not so familiar with all these stuff than other users here. I can't tell you what I have removed, but I also deactivated some stuff (see for yorself if this is a good idea):
Android System WebView

Asus Browser- Secure Web Surf
File Manager (the ZenUI ASUS one)
Asus SuperNote
Google Fotos
Chrome Browser

Afterwards i deleted ome of these folders with the Root Browser.
But as you can see in my post, I'm not satisfied, especially because Bluetooth. And I want to setup a totally clean Android and install all for myself.

It seems Busybox is installed, since I installed Titanium Backup from the Play-store (showing BusyBox 1.19.4-Titanium from app).
Perhaps it's more easy to show what can be disabled or removed, using screenshots.
Take note: I don't use the whole photos or camera stuff, since the camera of this device is crappy.
I use my device for browsing, also speaking to Google to search + Youtube + Deezer for music. That would be all.
I'll start with mine, perhaps you can download the zenpad_apps_all.png and edit it, putting a red X-mark on top of the ones you have disabled/removed.
I've deleted Kindle, Amazon, Zinio, Clean Master, Supernote, Google Maps, and some others, that are obvious to remove.

You can check whether you adapter is functional with your device via the following steps/commands:
Step 1 : Connect you adapter using otg/y-cable.
Step 2: Open up NetHunter Terminal[Kali].
Step 3: Enter The command
Code:
ifconfig wlan1
If anything information show's up,then it means your adapter has been detected by the NetHunter system.
If you want to check it with something. Try it with Wifite.
For that,Do the following:
Step 1: Open up NetHunter Terminal[Kali].
Step 2: Enter The command
Code:
wifite
Step 3: On this screen it will show you 3 options if you have connected your adapter.
I) p2p0(used for linking local address)
II) wlan0(your mobile's internal wifi adapter)
III)wlan1(your external wifi adapter)
Step 4: Select III) option.
NOTE: When you select that option, wifite will try to put your adapter on monitor mode. At this moment you may notice that green blinking LED on your adapter.
Step 5: So if you see that LED,then your adapter is fully functional :good:.

This page doesn't provide the old images anymore, that's the problem (point b of the tutorial is useless now):
https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=bacon
No meta discussions needed, just another reliable source (and not for me but for this tutorial).
Bytheway this is a nice collection and one answer to my question:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/mirrors-for-official-cyanogen-roms-ota-updates.141825/
So this only works with cm12.1 snapshot or would it be possible to flash over lineage os?
You can flash it over lineage os if you want for any further questions you might have I recommend you go to the Kali nethunter github page
Mr.Jlu said:
Yes,this is lollipop. To be more specific it is cyanogen 12.1 snapshot. And the Nethunter Is flashed over it.
Yes,you can pen-test your networks and check how strong you're passwords are by cracking.
Spoiler alert: Penetration testing is more than GUI-based softwares. You should have prior knowledge about basic programing,Networking and linux terminal.
If you Interested in this field, my advice is make your base knowledge perfect.

a few questions:
#1 How good sir, do you suggest I/we improve our base knowledge?
#2 For starting out, is a Nexus 5 better than a OnePlus One? i.e. why go with a $200 OnePlus One when you can go with a $75 Nexus 5 ??
#3 Is there any additional must have equipment you would need to do entry-level pen testing with the OnePlus One besides the phone? i.e. antennas?
#4 I am actively looking to buy a OnePlus One, used if possible, is there anything specific I need to inquire about? i.e. android version, boot loader locked?, ect, ect.
any and all advise is greatly appreciated!!

Answers-
1). You can do some ethical hacking course from YouTube.
2).Nexus 5 is no where compared to OPO.You can buy refurbished/second-hand OPO at much lower price, but,the question is why do you need only an OPO and nothing else? Nostalgia?
3).Check OP again, some must-have equipments are listed, however you'll find more when doing ethical hacking course.
4).You can find some some used OPO easily,no need to worry about boot loader, android version and stuff.
Link to buy OPO(132 US$)- https://m.ebay.in/itm/ONE-PLUS-ONE-Black-3GB-RAM-64-GB-ROM-4G-LTE-PRE-OWNED-/132264175466?hash=NQ==
I don't know if seller ships to other countries than India.

Definitely been waiting for more information on customizations with the HD10. Had one in the box here waiting for more definitive success.
5th generation fire hd8 8gb here running 5.3.1.0
OTA updates shut off and GApps installed and working. Had lock screen ads shut off for a night but they came back...
No luck yet with root (of course) but willing to post results as software develops.
Thanks for this thread. I have a new HD8 and unfortunately nothing (apart from the Google store) really works atm. Not the tools fault obviously, everything will probably work as soon as we get root.
Mine hasn't been turned on yet. . .so I don't know the OS level, but not sure if that helps with regards to getting root.
Hello everyone,
im looking into buying a Fire HD8 (2016). I need it for writing some python code on the go, so I really need a proper ROM or at the very least Play Store. I know that the 2016 HD8 with v5.3.1.0 isnt rootable yet. How can I inform myself about the progress? Do we know that its still possible? I wouldnt like to buy the tablet just to find out that its the first one where amazon did some black magic and made it unusable for the task
So yeah any idea who is working on it, where, any information basically?
And another question: what kind of OS is the new HD 8 running? Is it again an android with some amazon launcher or did they release a full ROM?
Thanks for the support and all!
Regards

only ones that we know are actively working on rooting are the Kingroot team, they are mostly looking for general Android exploits, and don't really give ETAs
Playstore can be installed without rooting
replacement of Amazon launcher should be possible without rooting

Hi sd_shadow, thanks for the quick reply! I hope I didnt come across as entitled, wasnt asking for an ETA or anything but my post reads this way.
I am trying to consolidate all the information I'm gonna need on Friday (when my HD8 arrives).
1) disable OTA updates by renaming apps
2) install play services, store, framework etc; let them update
3) ?
Anything I need to make sure it never ever updates OTA?
--
As of how to do it on 6th gen, so far I found this:
Disabling OTA update (by renaming the releavant apps):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67364134&postcount=12
"Installing Google Play Easy (works on 6th gen)"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69029147&postcount=88
- thats the best (only?) instruction for 6th gen I could find;
"Install Google Apps Without ADB/PC"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/hd8-hd10/development/install-google-apps-adb-pc-t3314420
- for 5th gen, someone in the thread claimed that it bricks 6th gen, still found the explanation interesting and somewhat similar to the one in the previous thread/link;

Disabling updates requires
a) changing file extension for updater apps e.g. .bak
b) delete update apps
only 4 apps are needed for google framework
google account manager, google play services, google play store, and google services framework
the supertool can install them without rooting
I'm using the new 2016 Fire HD 8 OS version 5.3.1.1
I just used the SuperTool to install Playstore.
any idea when amazon is going to enable Alexa Voice Assistant on this model? Its kind of the main reason I bought it

Official Stock Firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63061579&postcount=3
Thank you! I was able to use your link to download the official stock firmware this to downgrade my HD 8 5th Gen/2015 KFMEWI from 5.1.3 to 5.1.2 via ADB sideload and then I used RootJunky's supertool to root using Kingroot, then disabled OTA, removed Ads, replaced Kingroot with SuperSU and installed FlashFire.
Now I'm just waiting for a stable Marshmallow (AOSP 6.0) ROM to come along. I'm SUPER jealous of all the attention the HD 7 (tate) is getting, I foolishly tried to flash the CM13 unofficial tate version using FlashFire and fortunately I just got a blank screen and nothing happened. But I really would love to test some different ROM's... do you have any recommendations I should try?

release widevine rom update for android 7.11 and 4.4.4

Stream Netflix , Amazon and others with 1080 p on your HP Touchpad.
Use streaming Apps what before not works (like MagineTv or Waipu TV and many others)
First sorry for my bad english.
i have many roms tested on my hp touchpad but no one rom supports widevine not over android DRM classic not over android DRM modular.
Yes we can watch Netflix , Amazon but that have nothing to do with supported widevine then the apps access and play the streams over a internal other solution.
you can this test , install DRM info from androidfung over the playstore.
But many newer Stream apps like Magine TV or Waipu Tv will only works when widevine modular is avaiable on the rom and i think that is with netflix , amazon in future the same
so i have search the last two weeks for the binaries what since compatible with the touchpad Hardware and android Version.
i have many files downloaded and tested and change between the files and installed to test it again.
so i found a working combination for android 4.4.4 tested on jscullins CM11
but this solution was not working on newer android Versions so i look again and found universal qualcomm binaries what works on android 7.1.1 to.
Picture say more as words
all HP touchpads Roms before you install the widevine update:

After you install the widevine update:
so i create two rom updater one for android 7.1.1. and one for android 4.4.4.
Installation
installation is simple download the file for your android Version copy it to the ttinstall Folder on your Hp Touchpad restart your device with recovery and install the zip.
Download
Android 7.1.1:

Android 4.4.4:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9hz4szl41qsqfmb/cm11 widevine.zip?dl=0
For the rom Developers the Vendor blobs for android 7.1.1:
https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_qcom_binaries/pull/11/files
Please add this to your rom Source we benefit all from this.
To stream Netflix on 1080p :
the widevine support give us the option to install a modded netflix apk what stream netflix on widevine security Level 3 supported devices with hd on your HP touchpad to.
Download Funktion on the Netflix App Works on Androide 7.1.1 only.
here you go:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aymq8v5hyaqqhnw/netflixlatest.hdonly8.apk?dl=0
Edit :
Change link to the vendor blobs the old one was not working!
I can confirm this romupdates works on android 7.1.1 (tested on evervolv last nightly ) and Jcsullins CM11 .
Edit 2 :
Netflix streaming 1080 p
Have Fun
Regards Jan
Thanks for this! I installed on 4.4.4 and tried netflix hoping to get better quality or to enable the new offline viewing feature of netflix but sadly nothing changed for me. I even uninstalled/reinstalled netflix after flashing. When watching Master of None for example, it defaults to what seems like less than 480p.
I was told the netflix offline content requires some really strict widevine so maybe that's why it's not working. I'll give it a shot on nougat soon

Please install drminfo Form playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidfung.drminfo&hl=de
You must download the drminfo Version Form androidfung .
Then you can it run before the romupdate is installed and you will see that widevine is not supported in this device.
Then install the Rom update and run drminfo again and you will see widevine modular security level 3 is supported in this device.
Downloading with netflix works in Android 7.1.1 is use the evervolv Rom.and the downloaded streams since 1080 p
And yes you can watch the downloaded streams.

I can watch WaipuTV or MagineTV what before not works .
And you have the option to watch Netflix on 1080p over the modded apk.
im back on Android 4.4.4 and look to find the solution to have the download option on netflix to.

Thats a rather simple explanation... Since Widevine never officially existed on KitKat (Android v4.x.x), as witnessed by the Op. (i.e. Device is unsupported!), why?! Because it wasn't a thought back then.
Then along came Lollipop (Android v5.x.x), and suddenly Widevine (On Android), enters the scene. So pretty much everybody running anything post Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nugat, or Oatmeal Cookie will of course all now have some form of Widevine DRM, so what's the deal then?!
Well unlike People, Widevine is NOT created equal. Widevine come in Three (In reality probably only Two), flavors. Google calls these "flavors" Levels.
Levels 1, and 2 can only be set at the Factory, and thats pretty much only if said OEM has bothered to pay up to get these Certs.
So what you, and I, and by that proxy a great deal of People have is the field settable Level 3 version of Widevine. Being filed settable there is no need to have any official Cert. So while this may well be great for some Play Movies, and YouTube stuff. This will have a major impact, for other Services that will demand you to have the highest (i.e. The tightest), level of DRM. (e.g. Amazon, Netflix, or VuDu to name a few). Which will either limit your use of their services at 480p, at best, or totally block you out, at worst.
So this is nothing anyone can or will ever be able to fix. It's also why I'm very interested in knowing more about if the latest batch of China stuff chiefly the 1 Plus 5 even has this level of support.
Any news on how to enable the download option in Android 4.4.4? Besides this feature, it's working great, thanks!!
I'm gonna give Widevine try, I can install it with 4.4 recovery and gapps via tptb right?

Would love something like this for 8.1 since I'm presently using Dirty Unicorns latest 8.1 release and noticed poor YouTube playback support with default setting. DRM Info app reports Google DRM support, but not exactly sure what all that is reported means.

Update: being bored and having free time...I decided to test drive SKZ-tenderloin-kernel-DU-Linaro_06_11_2018 update on top of du_tenderloin-v12.3-20180618-1308-RC and magically it worked and helped with my problems.
1. YouTube now works and performance isn't supper fast, but at least it loads and plays video.
2 . Games like Prime Defender 2 also now load and originally did not get past initial flash screen.
Why would this Linaro 6/11 update make a difference in performance if the kernel updates are already included in du_tenderloin-v12.3-20180618-1308-RC?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but you're answering questions and that doesn't happen often in the Dirty Unicorn page. Thanks Sorli...

[ROM] Custom ROM for MTK6580 Smartwatch (X5 Air / LEM5 Pro)

There has been quite a bit of development on the full smartwatch front recently; notably the OpenWatch project that is in full swing and pretty much covered all the main manufactures and variants that are available.
Hopefully a new OS will be available shortly; however in the meantime Id like to offer this ported Resurrection Remix to the community as I have been asked a number of times to release it for testing.
I have been using this for about a fortnight now and so far am very pleased with the results. Battery life has been tripled with hibernation, and root access provides more potential.
Please note that the UI has not been optimized for round screens however anything awkward can be done via PC and a screen cast app. Im using Vysor.
Installation:
Install .zip via TWPR in the usual fashion. Factory reset wipe is recommended.
As always please process a full backup of your existing software inc. all partitions you have available (NVRAM etc) before flashing so you have a safe return point.
Details:
Resurrection Remix ROM 5.5.9 for MTK6580
Android Version: 5.1.1
Kernel: 3.10.72+
Ported for: Finox X5 AIR / LEMFO LEM5 Pro
Known Bugs:
Bluetooth - file transferring is 50/50
Display not optimised
No clock engine - please use Ricktops Universal Launcher to regain this function.
Palm brightness - use home button to turn screen on and off.
Suggestions:
Please allow 5+ minutes for OS for intial loading after flash.
Kernel editor - reduce max CPU frequency to 600Mhz
Install Xposed framework for Lollipop 5.1.1
Greenify (and enable framework in Xposed)
Change DPI to 200 - play around with this to see what suits you best
Enable expanded desktop for all apps
Use Battery Saving Mode and Airplane Mode when possible.
Once you have set up everything do a further backup to save you setting everything up again.
All credits to the Resurrection Team for their ROM. I have not altered any aspect of the original, simply ported this over to my device.
This should work on any 5.1.1 smartwatch if properly ported using your stock files. Please see ported folder in download link to see which file I have corrected. Replacing these files with your own stock resources should work.

@migueldbr
Here is the ported Resurrection ROM for the Thor Pro - I honestly have no idea if this will work as I cant test it, but in theory it should?
You mentioned that you have a full backup already, I would suggest copying the BACKUP folder from the TWRP folder on your SD card to your PC so you can transfer it back in the event you need to do a full wipe if this bootloops. If you are using SPFT then chances are you will return back to stock recovery unless you modify the stock fw. From experience, its easier to just do a fresh flash when these thing dont work.
If you see the RR logo, wait a good 5-10 minutes for it to load. If it doesnt, chances are the port failed. In which case Im sorry.
Id also grab the Universal Launcher from an apk mirror so you can get the watch functions back and also using Vysor to set it up makes it much easier. Suggestions are in post above.
With regards to the connect phone app, it should work - Im using watchdroid to ping notifications over and it works with no issues.
Good luck! And let us know how you get on. Fortune favours the bold.

Awesome man, thanks a lot! I will test it tomorrow because it is 23:30 here in Portugal so its late. But tomorrow once I get back from work I will test it. Btw does it include the "connect phone" app to be able to use with wiiwatch? Or do I have to install later as system app or something?

I hope it works for you; would open it up for more people to hopefully improve it.
Im sorry Im not familiar with connect phone or wiiwatch? If its a app that came with the watch you could maybe look for it on the manufactors website? However WiiWatch - Watch Assistant is available on the app store (or an apk mirror) if this is what you mean? Could try that.
Keep us posted.

The connect phone app comes pre installed on the stock rom and that's what makes it able for the wiiwatch app to find the phone...and I have no other alternative because I have an iPhone:/. Anyway I will try the rom!
It didn't work...some errors like "error 7" and some "symlinks missing". I think I am going to sell it because it simply does not work properly with the iphone, it causes major battery drain on my phone because of the wiiwatch app to connect=/
But thanks a lot for your help!

Damn error 7 - i removed the asserts from the updater script - so it could be a number of other things.
Im sorry it didnt work mate. I would be up for trouble shooting it with you but would be so hard pin pointing the problem without a device to test it on here. Best just wait for OpenWatch to be released, or as you said sell it. I wonder what the delivery would be from Portugal to UK? : )
I appreciate you giving it a shot, ill remove the link so no-one else tries.
All the best.

I am now waiting for the battery to run out because I don't know the combination to boot into twrp xD. Also, unlike cellphones, forcing the power button doesn't turn it off, it just keeps rebooting. Thanks a lot for your help. I contacted zeblaze and they said they would look into the issues. First they sent me a firmware to try (which was older than the one you based the rom on, which was the same that came with my watch lol). Zeblaze seems to be very unorganized, even their site does not have firmware available to download...its a shame really, I wish i had bought a lemfo or kingwear!

If you want to speed it up remove the backplate and follow the battery ribbon to the motherboard. If you use something pointy but rounded you can just pop the contact up (disconnecting the battery) then push it back on. But you will most likely need to reflash with SPFT unless you have a way of booting into TWRP from power off.
It is ashame they arent more on the ball with updates etc, ive heard this alot with zeblaze. definetely go LEMFO or KW next - ive been told these have a very secure future and support is now officially by the RASC community from what I know.
Yeah that’s bad they don’t want to support the Thor pro is a really good budget device with big screen and outside readable, we still have the original firmware and not updated, yeah I have an IPhone to and the Bluetooth connection is not so good but it works the Bluetooth calling works too good and I have to install an app Volume booster because is so low and for the position of the hardware is really bad this device has potential. I am waiting for my Lemfo LemX
Good work on the port. Im trying to get RR on my Microwear H2 (1gb 16gb) I have a working TWRP recovery. Could you point me in the direction of the port guide you followed for your watch so i can try and port it myself. Thanks
Also, have you managed to port any higher versions of android for your watch? I am aware of the Openwatch project, which brought me to your post.
EDIT: Just read the last few lines of your 1st post. Will have a go as you have suggested. Thanks
