Hey guys, my galaxy S5 was rooted, running a version of TWRP (can't remember the specific version) and was also running the latest version of Cyanogenmod available for the S5.
I went to factory reset the phone in the settings tab in Cyanogenmod and now all my phone will do is display the teamwin logo as if about to boot into recovery then go black, then display it again (bootloop)
Anyone any suggestions on how to fix?
Cheers, Lewis
Try reflashing cyan.

I've tried it, Odin won't recognise my phone
You're also not able to flash it via custom recovery?

As rajman already pointed out, you can remove the battery, insert again and power on with the buttons volume+ and home pressed and hold. This should start Twrp right away. From there you can try to do a wipe of data, cache, dalvik and eventually internal SD and reboot. If this still does not help you can copy the cm installation zip to your external SD and flash it with Twrp.

I had Mint Jelly2.1 installed and everything was working fine.
it started when I had used the APK Hide It Pro. I was in the process of hiding videos and I noticed that my phone got rebooted and got stock in the Samsung boot up image with the Custom Lock image.
I tried nandroid restore, 2 images, but both also failed to restore / bootup.
I tried re-installing ROM and it was successful but during reboot, it will still get stock on the boot image.
Last step.
I used ODIN to restore the stock ROM and ODIN was able to install and reset. And my phone rebooted but still got stock on the Samsung Logo with CUstom Lock Screen.
What else can I do to fix this?
Thank you.
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. I assume you now have 3e stock recovery because of ODIN. This might or might not help. If you have any questions about recovery, please use the search function for information. If for some reason you still have a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM), try re-flashing an AT&T ROM and Kernel again. Everything you try is at your own risk. Good luck.

I had tried to restore/flash from recovery before ODIN and it all Failed.
Anyway, the last step ODIN restore and it was still stock at the Samsung Logo with Lock image.
I left the phone to charge the whole night and this morning when I turned it on, it was able to start properly with ODIN stock ROM.
I tried to go to recovery, and can only be done manually, and it was not the TWRP recovery but the stock one, with very small characters.
I tried to install Mint Jell2.1 right away but just reboots.
I realized that I might need to root it again and downloaded the Tool and re-loki'ed/rooted and installed TWRP.
Now, I am able to install Mint Jelly 2.1 and restoring all my apps.
I appreciate the comment.
Thank you.

Yeah, every single time I ODIN back to stock, I get stuck at the splash screen also. And rebooting to 3E (factory) recovery and "restore factory defaults" works great.

I am running out of options. I thought I am already out of this stuck on Samsung Logo with Custom Lock icon.
I had ODIN to stock I337UCUAMDL and reset, Ran Loki patch / installed TWRP, intermittently it will get stuck.
I flashed Shoshock 1.9, was able to reboot and setup basic settings.
I manually reboot to check if it was able to fix the problem, but no.
I am stuck again and don't know what is the next step for trouble shooting it.
any advise will be appreciated.
Thank you.
I got stuck to 1st boot image of Samsung with Lock Custom Icon.
I did format data/factory reset/clear cache/dalvik.. all of the wipe ootions.
I flashed a new ROM, successful, rebooted pass the logo and booted fine. I did not change any settings yet and I rebooted to check if it will get stuck again and sure after reboot, it got stuck again on the 1st image that shows up : Samsung Logo with the Lock Custom Icon.

•Please take time to read•
So first, I changed into cyanogenmod, it was successful though my sister didn't liked its "style" so I had to restore the stock firmware of jellybean 4.3 (XXUEMJ5_I9505OLBEMJ5_I9505XXUEMJ5_HOME.tar.md5) so i did a factory reset from the cyanogenmod settings and then flashed(it said my root access was lost after factory reset) using ODIN, everything went fine in the process in flashing, after my s4 reset 1st time a droid with a spinning thing on its tummy appears with the loading bar on its bottom and then resets once again I thought it was already good but my s4 was stuck on the SAMSUNG logo the blinking one. And then I downloaded a new stockrom the 4.2.2 (I9505XXUBMG5_I9505OLBBMG1_I9505DXUBMG5_HOME.tar and which was my original firmware the XXUBMG5), tried to flash using ODIN but it failed during the process, I'm about to download a new copy of the 4.2.2 version from the same site i downloaded from maybe it was corrupt?. Please help, me and my friend have done all things like using KIES that doesn't recognize my phone anymore, downloading stock recovery and such non works and so does my recovery mode after I access it, my s4 i9505 immediately restarts by itself after releasing my fingers and a lot of battery pulls. No luck please help me. I'm from the Philippines with an unlocked phone, International so I downloaded the XTE Region correct me if I'm wrong .
Please provide instructions if you have time .

flashed custom ROM on SM-G355H but forgot to root the phone before installation
I put the custom ROM into the SD card (ext.) and booted the phone into recovery mode without having a root access. In the stock recovery mode the was no option of wiping cache data , dalvik cache.... There was only option of wiping cache partition.
Now when I rebooted my phone it shows black screen with no apps installed, only the pull down notification bar is working. On the black screen there is a message " Unfortunately, Application installer has stopped ". What to do next please help me to get out from this situation.

Hi,
Firstly you cannot flash a custom rom using stock recovery
always do read Twice before you proceed
Do you have a backup?
if you don't go here and download http://www.sammobile.com
then using ODIN flash the firmware to revert it back to stock(Out of the Box)
Its that Simple
Can I flash a custom lollipop ROM on my device instead of putting the old stock firmware....? If yes then can u suggest me some good ROMs
#Go to Stock#ROOT#Custom Rom

First go to stock rom root it properly and check for root availability using root checker app in playstore the flash cwm or twrp then go for your desired Rom:good::angel:
I downloaded odined TWRP to my Samsung Note 3 N9005, but the phone still doesn't boots into custom recovery. It goes to stock recovery. I have attached the TWRP odin log for reference. I have flashed roms and rooted phones earlier, but with Note 3 this is my first attempt.
Flash again but don't check auto reboot. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove USB cable from the phone, remove battery, wait about 5 seconds, replace battery, boot to recovery using the buttons.

I did that. But it says cannot boot into recovery mode and goes to download mode. So I did it auto reboot checked again and now it's normal, but didn't solve the issue. By reset in the status do you mean I pull off the USB as soon as it says "RES OK!"? and not wait for Completed?
Try a newer version of Odin. Wait for it to complete the flash.
Sure you have the right twrp file?

I tried a cwm recovery instead worked for me. Can now boot into the custom recovery. I installed Dark Lord Room, stuck at Samsung for more than 2 mins. Should I wait or is this a boot loop?
Update: I wiped dalvik cache, cache partition and factory storagr and then tried Phronesis with a Full Wipe in Aroma, still stuck at SAMSUNG Logo for more than 5 mins.

After the wait it worked and booted the Phronesis. So my solution was to odin the CWM.
Best Regards!
I don't recommend cwm as it is hasn't been updated for years.
I'm trying to flash my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 3G (SM-T531) to the ROM Lineage 14.1 (lineage-14.1-20170309-0134-UNOFFICIAL-matisse3g).
But after flashing and rebooting my tablet get stuck on a screen with Samsung Logo and two messages on the top:
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: Kernel
I've researched a lot and tried a lot of different things, but same result. If I go back to the stock firmware it works just fine.
The procedure a adopted was:
1- Reset to factory defaults on the stock firmware
2- Install TWRP (twrp-3.1.0-0-matisse) through Odin
3- Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data
4- Flash Lineage (lineage-14.1-20170309-0134-UNOFFICIAL-matisse3g)
5- Flash Stock GApps 7.1 (open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20170825)
6- Wipe Dalvik Cache
7- Reboot
My main intention on installing this new firmware is because the latest available firmware for my tablet on Brazil is 4.4.2 and I can install a lot of apps (including WhatsApp).
Does anyone can suggest or help me?
Thanks!
that message is normal...
I know... But my tablet is on this screen for almost 45 minutes... I believe that is not normal...
How could I solve it?
Anyone?
I had a similar issue trying to flash crdroid which is LOS 14 based. I wound up skipping step 6 and it worked. Could try redownloading the ROM though
Problem stills, any more tips?
After flashing the tablet stills on Samsung logo, but emits sounds when clicking on Volume Up, Volume Down, Home Button, Power Button... As it is responding normally but the screen keep stuck on Samsung logo.
Hi... any more tips?
Old but, anyone solved this? I tried Android 9 and 11, TWRP 3.6
