So today i started getting the following notification from the google play store. It cant be swiped away, but disabling notifications from the play store will get rid of it. So im just wondering is part of an update or is there something i can disable (apart from play store notifications) to keep these messages from coming

Do you have app verification off or on?

It's nothing new. I got that like a year or more a go when Google removed it from the play store. Not sure how to hide it without guiding other notifications. You could try blocking the notification from gravity box if you're using that. But it might block everything from okay store too. Not sure otherwise.

hmm. still no luck in figuring this out with Titanium Backup :/
it shows up under Google Play Store as an update
I'm using SwiftKey so this isn't needed

thanks for the response!
I have uninstalled SamsungIME.apk but this still shows :/
anyone else has any idea?
I have uninstalled Samsung Keyboard from my Galaxy Note 3.
but this shows up in the Play Store regardless, prompting me to update
okay.
I got it figured
it is the MyScript ResourceManager
the apk is "com.visionobjects.resourcemanager"
We should NOT freeze/uninstall this as it will cause FCs with Direct Pen Input
it is crucial to the function of your SPen!
[Q] Getting Duplicate "Recommended Apps" and weird notification icon on VZW Note 3
I'm getting this weird duplicate Recommended Apps notification when I plug in my earphones, and when I disconnect them, the notification stays there... Any ideas what could be causing this?
I can't figure out what's causing this. I'm running a Rooted/SafeStrapped Note 3 on KitKat 4.4.2 (JasmineRom). I thought the issue was with JasmineRom, so I went back to stock but it still happens there.
I have a bunch of Xposed modules installed, and have tried disabling them, but I'm not sure if they're causing it because it seems to be completely random, and goes away sometimes when I restart the phone.
Does anyone recognize the icon in the screenshot? I'm pretty sure that's what's causing it, but I'm not sure how to find WHAT it is.

Solved.
It was Greenify. Using the lastest Greenify with "Keep Notifications" experimental feature caused this. After a while (random). This icon is the Greenify "keep notification" icon.
Yup Yup
Before I do a reset on my phone, I am curious to know how 'Android System' ended up in my Downloaded Apps section of the app manager? I've not done anything with the device in terms of something that would do this. It might also explain why I keep getting package installer errors.

I did a reset through settings as opposed to flashing the firmware. I was curious to see how badly I screwed things up. Google Play store was missing and Account Services wouldn't load properly. Now I know when you have a locked bootloader and the Google APKs come preinstalled, that I have to restore firmware to use stock apps. Well, if some of you know me enough by now, I don't take no for an answer usually. So I took an hour, looked for the stock Play Store. I found it on the first try. Or the phone accepted it. Either way, All 4 APKs fixed themselves, but they migrated out of the system. So The only way to fix the stock is to flash firmware. If you're lucky enough to find the right APK online, they will fix themselves, but won't be system apps. So far everything seems so good.
Hi everyone,
Since a few days I have some troubles with ads appearing on the top right, under the clock. I did not install any new apps in this period and I can not find out from which app they are coming in order to get rid of them.
Attached is a screenshot of the add, any help would be much appreciated.
I forgot to mention that this morning when I woke up and wanted to unlock my phone, there was some 3rd party lockscreen which I did not installed. This appeared just once but the adds are appearing constantly.

found sth on other forum:
I found the culprit. I used the System2 app to track what applications were opening. The app called Multi Calculator had installed itself somehow and was causing the pop-up ads.

Thank you, I have searched but did not found this nor any other questionable app.
What is even more strange is that the adds stopped appearing without me doing anything. So the problem fixed itself.
maybe google scanned apps and removed it automatically
Hello i always had the ASUS zenwatch but i haven't been using it for a year or two in this pandemic. I updated everything after i turned it on but its so slow that i cannot operate. touch delays are very long. so somehow i hard reset it and connected to my wear OS app (updated) and now i am getting "google play store stopped working message" and "android wear is not working do you want to force close it" also "Process System isnt responding" message. i successfully connected few times. even got notifications but after sometime i get the message again and the watch becomes extremely slow
Things i did--
1. Went to recovery and factory reset after clearing cache
2. Uninstalled wear OS and installed again.
3. Cleared Google play Services data and cache and tried again.
Seems like nothing is working. can anyone please help me to solve this.
I really love this watch and wouldn't want to throw it away.
