hi,
i am thinking of developing an sms bomber type application that will send messages through the stock/default sms app, but before developing i was doing some studying on it, and i can't seem to find an answer to:
bypassing or changing Sms_max_count limit without root access.
or if a standalone-app(messaging app with bulk sms option) is developed that doesnot sends through stock, can we handle the limit problem in this way?

It is annoying when you have little or no signal and you send an SMS only to get an unable to send SMS notification. It would be great if it could auto retry (AND get rid of the draft when the SMS is successfully sent).
Is there such a program? Couldn't find one on google or here.
Could someone make one?

Not sure with the standard messaging features but add ons like Vito SMS chat have this feature (resend) rather than searching through draft folders like you said.
I would like to bump this thread again. This can be a real annoyance and I can't imagine a skilled developer would take long to write an app to do this.

I completely support the statement that this is super annoying. Can't imagine why noone has tackled the issue so far.
I think many would appreciate this to be done..
so the app should always be running in the background?

Maybe integrated to the WIndows default SMS application?
i think the app should monitor if a new sms is moved to the drafts folder

But this would send even the messages you intended to move to drafts folder. like messages you intended to send later. but if it is not possible for now to integrate to the existing default sms app, i think this is an option. BTW i know you can do this oldsap, ive been using some of your apps since way back to the SAP era. thanks for that.
My dad recently purchased a Galaxy Note 3. Everything works fine, except when he attempts to send SMSes.
I'm well aware that Android converts them to MMS after it exceeds a certain length. However, it's now converting them [in the first message] as soon as I input a special character such as ç. If he only typed in English, there'd be no problem. But he types in a lot of the 'romance languages' too.
Is there a way to fix it without installing another app? Or is that the only solution?
Thanks in advance.

Using Hangouts as default for SMS should fix it
Very strange, because other Note 3 does not have this issue.
If you dont want to use another alternative, you can do hard reset.
Otherwise you can use 3rd party sms client, such as Go SMS...
Use Hangouts. Supports SMS and video call all within the same app - reduces the need for apps such as skype
I send out the same text to a group of people quite often and I get a message saying messenger is sending a large amount of messages do you want to allow this? I have to click on it for each message that goes out. Is there any possible way to change the limit? I know you used to be able to set it to anything you want in settings/security but it's not there anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated...this is so annoying.
Have you tried GoSMS Pro?
Maybe I've never sent to as many as you, but I've never encountered that warning or behavior. I've used GoSMS for several years.
I've only seen this when I send many messages in quick succession (either with Google Messenger or something like Tasker). There should be a checkbox that says to always allow.
I'm also looking for a solution. I was using ResurrectionRemix (a CM based ROM) and it has an option to set the text restriction. So, it CAN be done. We just need to know WHERE the code is so that it can be changed. I can't find any search results explaining how to accomplish this. That SMS Limit Unlock app doesn't work on later ROMS.
After hours of searching today - it appears that the setting has been moved into the framework?

I hope I'm wrong as I'm no Android dev.... But, if I'm correct the only way I know of to "fix" it is to make the change in a custom Android build/ROM.
This SUCKS as I use mass texting for business purposes (communicating with many individuals who sign up for contract work). I really like Android N (along with AndroidPay) - but, looks like I'll be going back to M (on a custom ROM)...
If anyone locates/determines a way to alter that file using RootExplorer/Sqlite or some other way - please let me know.
When selecting all the text messages in the Spam box the app just hangs and asks me to wait or stop the app.
There must be some app to help with this ?
Is it accessible from third party apps?
I have tried many popular sms apps that claims to delete spam, but it seems that Lollipop 5.1.1 blocks them from being deleted via an app
I'm not sure, try in safe mode. You need root.
Hi
Try MOBILedit . its a software to manage your phone via PC through USB / Bluetooth connection.
It can help with what you wanna achieve here.
I been using it for quite sometime. It makes managing phone easy.
I have just tried Mobiledit, but Spam messages is not seen anywhere under the Messaging option - just normal Messages.
Have tried looking in Files & User Files, but do not know where it is located ?
Also I do not want to root my phone (yet) due to KNOX warranty issues.
15.000 spam messages?!
Djeez...
Hello,
i own an OnePlus 2 which is rooted with the Exodus ROM with android 6.0 also the xposed Framework is installed.
At the Moment I try to use two SMS apps because i like some stuff in both but they both have disadvantages.
Is there any possibility to send SMS via both apps? Because everytime I try it I have to change the default messenger app.
I also try to change the permissions of the apps but it didn't help
have a nice day
Sir Hamburger
Hi, what you are hoping to do cannot be possible since the system accepts one sms app at a time, it's deeply coded and works with the sms push and the network provider. so you can't have both sms apps corresponding to the same network, system or device. the option is just not available yet. you have to choice either way.
First of all thank you steps parku for the answer.
I solved it now with a tasker profile with the secure settings extension
If you start an other sms app tasker sets it on default.
Kind regards
Sir Hamburger
