I am please to create this Discussion thread of X-NOTE ROM .
We have done enough discussion about The ROM in DEV thread which is suppose to be made for Dev discussion only.
Please Feel free to discuss about the X-NOTE ROM. Please Don't Spam in this thread.
It is always best to thank a ROM OP, in lieu of simply posting "Thank you".

Devs of this Rom are NOT responsible for any damage to your device.
The installation of the ROM is at your own risk.
However, the flash procedure is always performed
at least three times with a day of testing.

Based on samsumg firmware ND5 modified to have region free
moved lots of application in /data partition to have more free space in system (do a wipe data before install as written in instructions)

added the new circle system ui theme selectable with xnote app

A. Put # in front of security. mdpp=none in build prop. Reboot and set pin

Q.How to use stock battery?
A.Not been tested myself but try.
Delete X-battery.apk and use xblast/wanam to put on the original battery. Should work on older versions

Q. Having some wierd reflection/shadow under the date/time? SOLUTION ?
A. This is the Network Speed indicator and the problem occurs if you are using any xposed modules (Wanam) . So either switch off the indicator by going to Xnote control app >> Extras >> StatusBar Mods or disabling the xposed module.
Q. Logs in phone doesn't fully show up ( top part is missing)
A. gravity box, search for the option to hide the menu overflow it happens with navbar enabled.
Q. Google Play Movies get stuck after 9secs , whats wrong with it ?
A. Its probably because you flashed X-note Kernel go for Stock kernel or civz snapkat latest kernel .
Q. I have all green toggles in XNOTE V12 ?
A. Please go into XNOTE control app >> Extras >> Statusbar ColorMods and change the settings to your liking as shown in the image.

A. Goto Xnote ControlApp>>Extras>> Color StatusBar Mods ,Check the Content
Q."How do you change the DPI of the device?"
A. First Boot DPI is set to 360dpi in X-NOTE 11 , if you want to go back to stock the value is ( 480 ).Use X-Transformer to set your DPI. Follow the instructions properly.
Q."How do you remove the power button the left, and the home button on the right on status bar?"
A. Go into X-Note Control, Extra Settings, then uncheck both show/hide home button and show/hide lock button. And Restart SystemUI.
Q."There's a white line on top of my screen, and I didn't have it on stock! I'm pretty sure it's not something wrong with my screen...HELP!"
A. Go to X-Note Control App >> X-Note Panel >> Battery Bar Settings
Q."How do I get my clock back to the center, I don't like it in the right"
A. Currently you cannot move clock you need to flash the file BatteryMod disabler posted in the next post after that you can enjoy every feature you could in X10.

A. Go to X-Note Control App >>Extras >> Status Bar Mods >> Show/Hide Network Speed

A. X-Note is already rooted .

A. Just install it, then press the menu button on your home screen, click Themes, then choose the one you like.
Q."Can I overclock on X-Note Kernel?"
A. No
Q."The bootanimation is so flashy, too flashy for my eyes to bear, I'm planning to move on to another ROM if they don't change this!!!"
A. HOLD UP! You can change the boot animation easily by going into the OTA section of X-Note, download the BIOS boot animation and flash it in recovery. OR! You can flash the zip provided by myself (fahadali2315) on the 3rd post below that would get you the default X-Note 7 Boot Animation!
FIRMWARE/RECOVERY/BOOT/KERNEL RELATED
Q."Would I need the Poland firmware to install? Or can I use my locally released KK as a base for flashing X-Note?"
A. If you have KitKat already installed, you will already have the bootloader required to flash X-Note. Hence, all you need to do is get to KitKat using any method
Q."What other kernels should I try?"
A. CivZ's SnapKat Kernel or Wootever's N3 Kernel are quite good. NOTE: You WILL trip your KNOX if you haven't already.
Q."What is the difference between stock kernel and stock kernel with init.d added?"
A. The init.d is a more advanced user option, where it allows the automatic execution of the scripts contained with /system/etc/init.d folder at each boot. Only select this if you plan to use scripts.
Q."What is this BTU CSC? What would happen if I live in XXXXX and my region is not specified?"
A. CSC means Customer Sales Code, and contains Carrier Settings and information. Installing a BTU CSC on an Australian device would not affect anything. It only gives you extra options.
Q."Why isn't my modem updated after installing the ROM? It's still at NA2!"
A. The ROM does not, and will never have, a modem install option. If you want to install/update a specific modem, you will have to flash it in Odin manually.
KITKAT 4.4 RELATED
Q. I cannot get into Tablet mode ?
A. It is because of the lovely updates from GOOGLE to blame
Q."Ongoing notifications are pushed down and temporary notifications are placed on top of the ongoing notifications! What's going on?"
A. This is a new Android 4.4 feature and is not yet changeable.
Q."On 4.3 when I swiped down on the notification bar, no matter where I swiped I would be able to pull it down. Now on the latest X-Note, when I swipe close to the right of the screen, the notification bar goes from transparent to dark...why is this?"
A.There is no workaround for this, as this is an official 4.4 feature so that it allows users to view the notification status bar with a solid background instead of intruding what is behind it. It is a visually pleasing feature over functionality.
Q."What is the Kit Kat Addons in Aroma?"
A. They are the CM11 apps that get installed usually when you install a CyanogenMod ROM, they include the AOSP Clock, 8sms and AOSP Calculator apps.
XPOSED/OTHER MODSQ. "When I press the volume buttons on the homescreen, I get a volume scrubber with a gear icon. When I click on the gear icon, it enlarges but there used to be more options to scrub for Media, System and Alarm. What happened?"
A. This is due to GravityBox. Make sure you select Media Tweaks -> Expandable Volume Panel -> Fully Expandable Volume Panel and if you want Expand Automatically.
Q."What's wrong with Xposed? Whenever I enable a module, nothing happens!"
A. Have you installed the latest version of Xposed and rebooted.
Q."The call recorder function only gives me a hissing noise when I playback, what's wrong?"
A. Not Supported in 4.4.2
Q: Why is YouTube force closing as soon as I click on it on my launcher?
A.The latest Youtube as of March 13th conflicts with the Xposed module YouTube AdAway, Disable it in Xposed and it will stop force closing on app start.The latest update in Xposed Installer (1.6) fixes the crash, so make sure you update it
Q. My Playstore shows incompatible phone when i try downloading some apps?
A. Download xposed module Playstore Fixes and set your phones original density(480) to sent to google. Then it will work
Q. I have weird looking bar on top of Contacts/Dialer.
A. Disable Menu Overflow from Gravitybox.

Q."After flashing the ROM my Wifi and 4G/3G is not very good, what's wrong?"
A. It is not the ROM's fault, this is your Modem. Make sure you installed your region's modem on your phone. Don't go around asking where to get the 'latest' modem, as the latest is not the greatest in all cases. Use the modem you usually believe to be the best. 4.3 modems are not compatible with 4.4 ROMs.
Q.Is this ROM working properly on other variants?
A. It works well on N900W8 and N900T provided that you install the patches required for it to work. There is also an N900A version on the AT&T section.
Q."How do I dirty flash this ROM?"
A. This is generally not recommended, but if you must do it on your own JUST FLASH THE AROMA SETUP AND IT WILL WIPE YOUR SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY .

A. Well, you're a strange one, If you are using Swiftkey, stop using it now. If not, flash the latest ROM and see if it fixed.
Q."My battery is draining heavily! What's going on?"
A. Download BetterBatteryStats from the second post of this thread and look for what is eating your battery and greenify that damn app :BBS LINK
Q. What should I do if my NFC/BT/Wifi isn't working?
A. Make sure you have flashed stock, kernel, modem, and everything up to date on the 4.4.2 iterations of the files. If you have anything 4.3, that is likely to cause problems. DO NOT FLASH THE N900W8 NFC/Wifi/BT FIX AS IT WILL NOT HELP. Clear your cache/dalvik cache.

Q."I don't want to trip KNOX when installing X-Note! How should I approach this?"
A. Use this Guidebut there is no definite proof of not tripping KNOX if you know what you're doing.Be sure that you do not install any recovery from Aroma Installer, or else say goodbye to your KNOX Warranty.

A: No it will not. No updates will. No kernels will. As the recovery does not write to the Bootloader, your bootloader will always be "happy".

You CAN install N9005 ROMs on other variants, for example the N900T, N900W8,
provided you get a patch specific to your device, however if they have their specific

2. Did you check the MD5 Checksum of the X-Note ROM after you downloaded it?
Open this spoiler for Mac Instructions!
1. Open Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal (or open Spotlight, and search for Terminal)
2. When Terminal is open, locate your directory where the file is downloaded, usually run this command: cd Downloads
3. When the path changes to the Downloads folder, type in "md5 XXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip" (name of the downloaded zip)
4. An MD5 code will come up, for example 614a3fac73272c9b53e74dc2ef5675f3, copy and paste this.
5. On the thread of the ROM, there should be located an MD5 code, press Command F, and paste it in the box. If the MD5 is found, then congratulations, MD5 checksum complete!

Did you install any undesired system files unsupported by soloilmeglio and Xentrix? If you did,
YOU LOST YOUR SUPPORT IMMEDIATELY, but there may be a bunch of people that may
have done the same.
Modifying the stock values include:
1. Modification of System Files (Installing unsupported themes from other ROMs)
2. Tweaking of System Files manually (e.g. deleting gsiff_daemon)
3. Flashing a different CSC (Customer Sales Code)
4. Flashing a different Kernel (e.g. CivZ's SnapKat, Wootever's Custom N3)

Updating Bootloader or Modem
if you are already on stock kitkat 4.4 , you dont need the bootloader . If you are on 4.3 flash the bootloader provided in OTA links same goes for MODEM.
Procedure for MODEM
1.Download the file for modem ,
2. Power off your phone completely , press home +vol down + power and go into download mode when it shows two options press volume up
3.Plug your phone into PC
4.Open Odin 3.09 and select CP or for older versions select phone
5.Choose the modem.tar.md5 file you downloaded .
6.Dont touch anything else in odin
7.Start the procedure , it will restart the phone itself . Go in about device if it still shows NA2 or older baseband do the procedure again .
it tends to work the second time.
Same Procedure for BOOTLOADER
Just change CP OR PHONE TO AP OR PDA for Bootloader in odin.

The only possible way to center the clock is using xposed modules, but it won't work if you have OGbatteryMod enabled As it interferes with other statusbar mods .
So if you are willing to disable OGBATTERY, then you can center the clock however you want.
1. how to move clock to center together with the network meter? (tried with gravity box, not moved. didn't use wanam since it will cover the network meter) edit: so which module do you use to center the clock and make battery circle with %?
2. how to disable og battery mod? (since i read, it does interfere with other xposed module...) edit: ah...you explained it again above

Erase your BatteryMod by flashing the erase file .
BatteryMod Erase & Restore
Use Gravity Box or wanam Xposed to do whatever you want after that
Wanam has all the features . Battery % and statusbar mods . Check them out.

Wow Using Wanam after ages and this is what i make of my notification bar it took me less than 5mins.

Sorry i dont have XNOTE 7 right now if any one has the setup and they can provide me with these files .

Not really. A new Samsung "feature" is to disable any new baseband updates on 4.4.2 if you don't have "official" rom/kernel status. In order to flash a new baseband you need to use TriangleAway to get official status, boot immediately to download mode and install a modem with Odin.

First things first, this guide is made mainly for our great LG G3 D85x. Some steps may or may not work for other phones...
Please note that the results of the following methods may vary. I would advice you don't do this on a daily driver or corporate phone.
Also note that these steps WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
For increased chances of these working, update your KDZ to Lollipop first using OTA or Flash Tool.
If you don’t know what rooting, flashing and blah blah blah means, this probably isn’t the thread for you.

NOTE: The chapters are in chronological order, meaning everything after Chapter 2 assumes you already have root and unlock.

CHAPTER 0: TERMINOLOGY (in my own words)
- Terms
- Tidbit
(To be honest, if you need to even look at this, this thread isn't for you.)
- Root: Gaining full administrative control of your device. "Jailbreaking" in terms of Android.
- ROM: The customized operating system that your Android runs on.
- Kernel: The thingy that links software and hardware
- Radio: The thingy that sends and receives messages, calls and data.
- Flash: Installing a zipped file in Recovery Mode
- Recovery: The software that allows tweaking and flashing, and other weird stuff that will destroy your phone.
- Fastboot: The thingy that allows recovery mode to happen.
- Brick: The term says it all.
- Bootloader: Quite literal; loads the phone for bootup.
- Nandroid backup: A backup-ed image of your current system
- ADB: Android Debug Bridge; some command line tool that sends information from and to the phone to, and from the computer
- CWM: ClockWorkMod; a recovery system
- XDA: The holy website that is full of weird stuff that makes your phone wayyyy better.
Now let's paint a picture:
Imagine you are your Android phone.
Before "rooting", you are trapped in jail.
Upon "rooting and unlocking", you are released from jail.
You go to a shopping mall named "XDA".
You find a credit card lying on the floor from the company "Recovery". On the back, it says there is no passcode required, and there is a infinite amount of money inside.
You enter a store and get a sweatshirt with the word "ROM" on it.
You didn't buy the shirt, the shirt just happens to be free, but still requires you to swipe your credit card anyways.
You keep the receipt as a "backup", just in case the shirt spoils.
Just then, you get greedy and get all the badges in the store.
Stupidly, you pin all the badges on your shirt, turning it as heavy as a "brick".
Then, the shirt rips, unable to put (it rhymes with boot) it back together again.
Luckily you still have the receipt to return the shirt, and return back to your good old disgusting shirt.

FLASHING:
Clean Flash:
1. Backup your data!
2. Reboot into TWRP Recovery
3. Go into settings and enable “Use Aroma File Manager”
4. Wipe Dalvik, Cache, System & Data
5. Flash your chosen ROM, basebands, firmware updates and other crap
6. Flash any GApps package. (the one I use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/gapps-lp-gapps-pa-gapps-aroma-installer-t3010798; kudos to @raulx222 & @slim Team)
7. Flash anything else (e.g. frameworks, boot animations, splash screens, themes etc.)
8. Reboot
9. DONE!
OR:
Dirty Flash: (flashing without wiping anything, used for updating to newer ROMs or reflashing)
1. Reboot into TWRP Recovery
2. ONLY wipe Dalvik Cache
3. Flash your chosen ROM, basebands, firmware updates and other crap
4. Flash any NEWER GApps package. If you manually installed/updated through Play Store, skip this step.
5. Flash anything else (e.g. frameworks, boot animations, splash screens, themes etc.)
6. Reboot
7. DONE!
It is perfectly fine if the first bootup takes a while, that is perfectly normal. Upon boot, Android will optimize itself so just let it do it’s work. Do put the phone under a fan as it does tend to get hot when optimizing since it is at max brightness or some dumb reason.
If it takes ages (like over 5-10mins) to boot up, it means you have luckily bricked your phone! Do source the XDA indices for any unbricking tutorial, or keep a lookout for an update on this page for instructions. (I don’t have any/don’t need to find any as I have never bricked any Android, so ya.)

DO NOT dirty flash if your newer ROM:
- Doesn't allow/support it
- Has a major update
- Has a Android version jump (e.g. from Lollipop to M)
- Is a totally different ROM from the previous one (e.g. from Stock to Cyanogenmod)
If after dirty flashing you experience any ROM issues (e.g. battery drain, lag etc.), I would advice you to do a clean flash instead.

RESTORING BACKUP:

Now, as we wait anxiously for our beloved OEMs to slowly update their softwares to patch for Stagefright, we are still vulnerable... UNTIL NOW! Here's a temporary protection for us, living in the slow ring of OTAs:

2. Open your messenger's settings.
3. Disable "Auto receive MMS".
4. Repeat for all your other messaging apps.

Here's how to get the UNOFFICIAL G4's weather widget on ANY launcher, including Smart Notice.
These steps do require paid apps, so as to prevent piracy, I will not provide download links for these apps.
1. Download "Zooper Widget Pro" from the Play Store. *note: it must be PRO to make it work*
2. Download "UX 4.0 G4 for Zooper" from the Play Store.
3. Add a 4x2 Zooper Widget to any home screen.
4. Tap the widget to start.
5. Choose "UX 4.0 by N.A Dev".
6. Scroll down and choose "5x2 UX 4.0 Smart Notice."
7. Widget OnTap Action -> App List -> Weather App
8. Location -> Choose accordingly
9. Global Preferences -> Weather Provider -> Yahoo!
10. Calendar to display -> Deselect all events
... now for the complicated bits. Do follow explicitly.
11. Check the 1st Rich Text (it should be "Rect, W:388 H:192 R:0")

Bumping = Unlocking with TWRP, so yes it is!
So long as you use the app accordingly, most probably you won't get any issues regarding the bootloader or recovery.

How to install?

Use IFont App as it was also a chiness fonts which cant be crossported to global version they removed it regards

helpme, i just used flymetools to change the status bar icons, but those icons not in the right place. how to fix that?
Anyone use flyme 5 in meizu m2? Hows it for daily use? Stable enough? I've read in some forum, and there's various bugs occurs and no solved yet. Im currently in flyme 4.5.3I on my meizu m2.

buddy f5 is good enough for daily use i will point out some problems are
(1)Dirach HD is removed by flyme
(2)Camera is not that clear in upgraded version of flyme

Installation Instructions :

In case you are on Old version, Download N930FD_PH6_Bootloader and Modem zip, extract it and Flash BL*.tar.md5 file with Ap tab and Phone*.tar.md5 file with Phone tab of odin. This file is for N930FD and in case you have different variant, kindly update your base first with OTA/Full ROM flashing.
- Next you required id TWRP recovery. If you already have one then skip this, otherwise download twrp-3.0.2-0-gracelte.img.tar and flash using Odin. In case Odin Fail during flash, reboot to recovery - wipe cache and try again. Here is original thread for TWRP support.
- Once you have TWRP Installed Download ROM and copy on SD card or USB OTG device.
- Reboot to recovery (TWRP) - I recommend clean install. Select to format device.
- Select to Install - select storage (Where you copied ROM zip) - navigate ROM zip and select it.
- It may take few minutes to finish
- Reboot and again wait for few minutes till android wizard starts

@ Dr. Ketan just try to do via diffrent pc through smart switch. It happened to me to but on diffrent pc with 2-3 tries it restored.

I know but do give multiple tries. It's time consuming but sure it will be success. And if u need offical firmware latest one BH6 XSG i have with m can upload on gdrive.

No. I believe H7 is 20MB and just security update only.

I bring you Batman_Rom_Note Edge for Galaxy Note Edge [N915/F/G/D/T] on 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
To flash the Rom you must know what you are doing and you will have to be at least on custom recovery.
* Installation? Instructions *
* Preferable to flasher with recovery twrp *
1. Boot in TWRP
2. Do a full wipe included Data/system
3. Flash rom and open gapps (link in description) and don't reboot.
4. Install the custom kernel (ramkernel v8.1 is best working) for your respected device variant(You can install F on G model also).
5. Reboot and wait 10 minutes to 15 min Finished.
6. Setup your device with wifi (untick diagnostic report). Note:- sim will not detecting in this process. so dont worry. follow the step 7.
7. Reboot your device into recovery and install data fix.zip file for your varient (for e.g. N910G datafix file required for N915G varient) and reboot device. now your sim will be working.
8. open the magisk manager app and download the zip file and then install the zip file from recovery. now reboot again and open the magisk manager. now your device has been rooted.
9. Reboot.
10. you are done.
11. Configure your Rom in the application Rom.Control. enjoy the rom.

Note: AOD is working but there is an issue of negative colours. then you have to restart your device and turn off AOD. if you guys can solve this issue then it will be a big big thanks.
please don't select note 4 camera in aroma installer, select only note 7 camera.
Special note:- when i try to turn on AOD, negetive color screen appears when turn on. negetive colors will gone when you force close the AOD service in applications then screen will back to the normal. Any developer can fix this issue please fix it and let me know. please if any body fix the screen off swipe to edge feeds.

Install the emotion kernel no crashes so far with that kernel on n915t
i clean installed this, but nly black sceen is showing with some voice assistant when i click screen
is there any stock rom for N915G

flash data fix zip for your model varient. for example, if your model is N915G then flash the data fix N910G. your problem will be solved.
