After that I used IOroot25 to regain root.
Hi,
Ive rooted My gpad with dalingrin method on the stock rom 4.2.2. What is the safest way to upgrade to 4.4.2 without losing all data and apps and reroot or maintain root?

Use LG Mobile Support Tool to upgrade and reroot with iOroot25 works fine. You do not lose apps or data.
3g dongle connection
Will it work my ZTE MF110 after updating to 4.4.2 via LG PC Suite? On 4.2.2 i used ppp widget to connect to internet via 3g dongle.
no problems for me
Upgrade done in less than 10 mins thanks demon05death for the info, going to try rooting it cheers for saying how to! :victory: I am in baltic region.

so, update should be available soon on lg tool, hopefully.
i'm still waiting for official UK.he has kdz for gb ver, too.
Italy OK: Update + re-root!
In Slovenia it is also possible to update it via the LG PC suit (it doesnt recognise the update if you try to update via the tablet though).
Got the KitKat update installed yesterday via LG PC Suite on my LG-V500 and have few notes.
Settings/Printing menu was empty, should have had Cloud Print there by default. Got Cloud Print from Play Store. I had HP Print Service Plugin installed earlier and it must have conflicted the Cloud Print, I had the Cloud Print set up and printers listed, but nothing would print until the HP app was uninstalled.
AnTuTu score was 22137 with Jelly Bean and now 22346 with KitKat, so no improvement there.
It looks like a new 20F update is going to be released for D802.
This is the original article (Italian language, sorry), and the changelog is:
- introduced Knock Code™ feature;
- enhanged low light shots, reducing noise processing alghorithm;
- introduced recents Google security patches.
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=36 ==> Ctrl+F ==> V20F ===> find it and download.
It isn't that hard to check if it has been already released or not.
I see a Baltics kdz and open 16gb version from Italy. and also branded Rogers one.
introduced recents Google security patches
Have they merged 4.4.4 updates?

Don't know if chagelog has changed but I had 20d and afterward I've got the 20f updates. My guess is that lg implemented security updates that google recently fixed like openSSL or something....
What about root/recovery?
Hey,
I've got the update as well but haven't updated yet, anyone knows if the current root/recovery methods work with the new version?
Don't want to lose my root :/
Thanks!
you can flash bruce v20f v4 stock rom for d802, it has root included (search in forum for download and instructions)...
prior flash - you can backup your apps with titanium (or preferred app) and restore them later (best to use usb otg stick for backups but you can backup on internal sd card as well since bruce's new rom flash doesn't require formatting sd card - only system, cache and data)
i've only lost my sms messages, but that's no biggie...
ps:
i have 16gb phone
Thanks!
Just got my G2 yesterday, Bruce's rom seems like a really nice option!

I have a EUR model so I will have to wait. But is the bug that the LG G3 had since the update to Lollipop solved? The bug where the screen goes on every 10 seconds after the battery is fully loaded using a wireless pad? Since the update to lollipop I cant use wireless charging anymore since this is a very anoying bug.
Wouldn't know. This is my first time on Lollipop.

My SEA/20b version has intermittent weirdness with wireless charging. It often wakes in the night to say its charging slowly. I'm using an LG WCP-700 charging pad.
Guys, for some reason I feel that 20b is better than 20e (had that before the official launch of lollipop for SEA).
after updating via pc suite and checking for another update, it shows two upgrades available with version that is still v20b.
can someone please let me know if they have successfully upgraded their phone with both upgrades?
thanks.

well that didnt go well, it was a two part update to 20b, after the first part installed it got stuck in a boot loop and then second part installed still in boot loop, after install finished it just kept boot looping, i had to put it in recovery mode and do a factory reset, that worked but it loaded up with 10k 4.4.2 kitkat, so pluged it back in and ive just updated back to 20b, think ill leave it there unless somebody wants to try it

in the box on the screen on the second update it was already showing 10 k 4.4.2, i can only think that the first part of the update rolled it back to kit kat
Reporting after update
Update sucks, a bit laggy, and usage bumped up from 14% to 20% in smart cleaning. And there's really no need for T-action, though quick remote did get its very much needed upgrade.
I think this has some added bloatware to it, guest mode is gone (i mean half-a$$ed), quick memo+ does not activate when pressing its icon from the integrated home button, but I did discover a way to use it.
First, open the quick memo icon (green), close it, then press the shortcut on the home tray, now it works!
does anyone of you know what's the difference between the brightness slider on notification widget having C on it and without C? I cannot understand what's the difference, it seems the same for me.

Hey can you explain what KDZ is? (i new at android and i dont know much) i want to get rid TWRP and root too to get the update
I've been with stock rom and got latest 21A update via LG suite. I hate it It's been a struggle, but CM 12.1 was worse in some areas, so I decided to stick with the stock.
The lag is killing me, random reboots, slow camera. Feels like I own a 2011 phone. Hopefully M will be a little bit better, but I'm not expecting drastic performance increases.
Oh well...one can only hope.

It will wipe everything on your phone now. So back up your photos and contacts and anything else you have in internal sd.
On Cloudy G3 and I will wait on an appropriate modded stock based rom before moving on to 6.0.
Being on stock unrooted doesn't mean you'll get the Marshmallow update on those days
Doesnt surprise me if LG pull back the 6.0 update till february just like they did with the G4 (cause of some sort of,"bug".). Lets wait and see next week.

too early to tell, I will say that day one has been awful. I updated using LG Bridge.
No idea what you guys are on about. This is my first time running marshmellow of any kind on my g4 and my phone is much snappier and responsive than before this update. Not to mention battery life is fantastic thanks to Doze. I have marshmellow on several other devices, and even though this one is from the manufacturer OS, it feels about the same as my other devices.
