Hi !
I have LG P700 and im using this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674626, and latest CWM - 6.0.4.8. Everything is working fine except after i did the OTA Update today i got a message that Space Storage is getting low. After that i searched a lot about EXT4 and Swap partition. So here are my questions:
1. My CWM Recovery will make EXT4 Partion or other format ?
2. How many MB should i select as SWAP in CWM recovery, and should i use swap at all ?
3. After this what should i install, only Link2SD or i need more apps for Swap ?
4. When i update Paranoid Android will the EXT4 And Swap be there or i should do it again and again... ?
5. I have 8GB Micro SD, how many GB can i use to EXT4 partition because i want to install bigger games... ?
6. Is the benefit of using SWAP any good, or it can cause more bad than good ?
Thanks...
bump.
You know swap is for expanding ram?its not for give you more space.

I have a verizon note 3 and I am trying to load a rom into slot 1 using safestrap. Everytime I try, it fails due to insufficient system space. It also fails to mount the system. I have tried soft and hard resets as well as odin but the sytem size stays the same. The size is 2500mb but only 300mb free. Is it possible to free system space? Would removing and reinstalling the OS help? Any suggestions would be great.

system size is official firmware from Samsung with the all system apps, libs and ... and preinstalled apps
i don't recommend to do it but if u wanna uninstall system app u should have root access to uninstall them by root explorer.
by the way wht u mean exactly by system size 2.5gb and 300mb free !?
the system size is about 6GB of 32gb internal memory
?!
Hello there.
I want to change my /system partition on my Zenfone 5. Its size is only 1259 MB.
Today I installed Resurrection Remix ROM so there is only 195MB free space on /system partition. System can't properly operate. I can't even flash GApps because it says that there is not enough space on system.
P.S. I don't think that RR ROM should take 1063MB of /system storage. I think I messed up partitions and stuff. Is there any way to return my partitions to the default state?
i want to know that too. i can't install gapps except pico and it's s%cks

when flashing a custom ROM if the ROM requires less space than stock ROM then if it can decrease the size of system system partition then a lot of unused system space can be shifted to as internal storage . I am using a custom ROM with aroma gapps and out of the 3 Gb system partition only 1.5 GB is used and i am only getting about roughly 9 Gb of free space. If there is anything i must notice then please elaborate... but it will be nice to see if system partition gets resized dynamically based upon the ROM size it will be better in my opinion
