Hi All,
I am not able to move multi window from right side of the screen to the left side, and noted that the tab button on it is not there any more, am using lollipop V5.1.1 (rooted) with nova launcher but did not manage to find any settings.
Is there a way?
Thanks.
There is no way to do this. No support for lefthanded people!
Thanks for your reply, pity samsung implemented it in such a poor desigh, staying on same topic, is there a way to change the window background color?
Skins i tried does not change the multi window background
No, the original firmware doesn't offer any customisation.

I am a new Nexus 7 owner. I am really annoyed how the soft keys take so much space of the already smallish screen.
Can someone recommend a good/stable rom that has an ability to hide/show the soft keys?
Thanks

paranoid android :good:
Oh cool a new ROM where's the download link!?
Sent From My N7 via White Tapatalk
I Use Codename Android. I tried Paranoid, but it doesn't have the good features of AOKP. Codename Android is like CM10 and AOKP. Plus you could hide the softkeys or make them smaller.
Thanks. I installed codendroid. How exactly do I hide soft keys?
I installed Paranoid Android 2.14 on my Nexus 7 and love it.
The only think I am not happy with is the tiny size of the Notification Drawer when in Workspace,Tablet UI(Small).
I like the small dock, as it takes the least amount of screen on the bottom, but, as a result, the Notification Drawer is way to small and hard to read.
IS THERE ANY WAY TO RESIZE THE Notification Drawer to make it larger and easier to read?
Another question. in System, I can select Auto hide.
Yet it does not seem to work.
Is there any way to hide the dock and recall it when needed?
How would I recall it?
And lastly, in System/Navigation Bar, there is an option to show/hide on screen software buttons.
I would love to uncheck them so they disappear and do not take up the limited screen real estate.
HOW DO I ACCESS / RECALL THESE SOFT BUTTONS WHEN I NEED THEM?
Thanks very much for your help. Much appreciated

Go to settings - Interface - navigation bar. I believe.
UPDATE: Settings - Interface - Power Menu - Navigation bar toggle
Then hold the power button and click the navigation bar option to disable them. If you want to re-enable then hold the power button and select that again.
This is what i did
On cm10 based ROMs go to setting/launcher/power controls/and check expandable desktop. Then to use long press power button and hit expandable desktop
Hi you all!
I'm so disappointed that after months there's still no stand-alone app which is able to pull down the notification bar and the quick settings of my device since the Lolliflop upgrade. I've downgraded once (was forced to upgrade again), contacted developers, today Samsung's customer support. What's left to do? Do I really need to downgrade once again? Is it really that hard to write an app like this?! Where are the developers?! Please help!
Many greetings

My suggestion would be factory resetting it.
Is there an app that does this on kitkat? Can u point me in the right direction?
^Search for these terms in the Play Store and you'll find them pretty easily.

Unfortunately they don't work in landscape mode for Note edge. .. [emoji20]
Any ideas to fix?
Really? Well, in landscape mode you can reach the status bar anyway much easier.

Not on note edge... there is no status bar in landscape mode....
This is good because space isn't wasted when for example u r using navigation...
But it would be good to be able to get notification bar down from the edge so that location can be turned on quickly when using navigation...
Thought this app would do it... but only works in portrait.
Can't you just swipe down from the top? What am I missing?
This: one hand use!

Swipe from the middle right edge to the center of the screen and back. It should shrink the screen for one hand use.
Thank you, but I know this gesture already. ?
Conceding defeat on this one. ...
I have the key features I need as shortcuts on an edge panel instead.
I am glad the status bar is hidden in landscape mode. .. means more usable screen area

Doesn't Nova Launcher do this? I have it set that I can swipe downwards anywhere on the home screen to bring down the notifications panel.

I haven't tried this specifically... but not sure it will work when the edge is at the top in landscape mode.
Have you been able to do this on the note edge?
It seems as if the edge blocks the notification panel coming down. ... no matter what app tries to bring it down.

Ah, I see. Sorry, I'm on a standard Note 4 can't help you there
But you could download the free version and give it a try, you never know.
EDIT: Just to confirm it DOES work in landscape mode on the standard Note 4.
Try this app, you can use it to customise the buttons or enable swipe actions to open notification bar etc

Thanks. .. but didn't work unfortunately.
Works when edge panel is at the bottom. .. but not when edge is at the top.
on top of the screen, about 1cm height. is not entirely black.
i know that it's not the the picture I'm setting is the problem because I tried different wallpaper with different size/dimensions.
fresh installed rom doesn't solve problem
I've attached some screenshot, one is home for TouchWiz and one is home for nova launcher. look closely at the top and you'll see it
if I drop down notification bar, problem is not there as you see in screenshot. it's only there when I'm in home and app drawer
had this problem since i bought the phone, also tested on other A516 models, same problem

it appers on top when its dark in the room, must have black wallpaper, and you set auto brightness and drop the brightness to half for example,
I think its a touchwiz bug, I cannot downgrade to lollipop to test because of MM bootloader

have you find a solution on this sir?
No solution, only hope it will be solved with nougat update.
I have the fix for Nova Launcher. That grey shade at status bar is supposed to make the status bar icons visible on colored/white background. If you use black background, go to Nova settings, Look and feel, and disable "Transparent notification bar". By doing so, the status bar will be pure black, but it's not recommended if you use a normal, non-back background.

I don't get the shadow if I disable that option on Nova. Maybe it's also because I have a modified system UI (modified version of Good Lock).

I have a modified version of Good Lock, search on google Samsung Good Lock Aroma Apk, click first result, I downloaded Good Lock ZeroViz. But make sure you have a custom recovery and make a nandroid backup. I have an unoffical version of xposed by wanam in order it to work on my a510f and installed gravitybox xposed module marshmallow version 6.2.1 (newer versions doesn't work good on a510f) in order to rearrange quick settings. i also have Flat Style Bar Indicators xposed module to change status bar look.

I don't know about OP's rom but I use Kyubi Rom Ux The Last on my A5 2016 (A510F). You can find it on htcmania site. It's a pretty good Note 7 port with no bugs other than image editor force closing.

The performance is same, if not 1-5% better, the battery is good. First thing to do after flashing it is go to settings, display and change resolution from 2K to HD then to Full HD. This rom is pretty good. I also use Pixel theme from theme store.

Hello, does anyone know how to fix the issue on Android 7.0? I'm using Nova launcher on Galaxy A5 2016 (Exynos).
I've never been a fan of the edge display or the shortcuts and panels, not sure if I'm the only one thinking that samsung put a half baked feature.
Anyway I was asking if someone knows of an edge panel that lets you open apps as a floating window or popup, like opening the calculator, calendar or browser.

Hi....If you want to use floating windows go to .......Settings >> Advanced features >> Multi windows and set what you need........it's very simple and you're not required Edge panel for that.... [emoji6]

@Xode, thanks, no problem about the triple post lol.
I know about that feature, but it's not what I also want, I want some sort of app that creates a shortcut that launches apps in floating mode directly,
it would really be nice to launch apps like the calculator from the edge panel in a floating window directly!
Thanks again for your help!
Maybe look at Swiftly switch sidebar or the Pro version . Also try apps edge from Galaxy apps (see next post for screenshot)

Yes, you can install nicelock that is in this forum, and there is an application called niceshot, which when you make a screenshot gives you the option to record in video.

I wish there was an option to add that as a icon in notification panel as it's more convenient. Even adding it to the app screen Rather than home screen
