They keep asking me for feedback on the moto actions like chop twice for torch and attentive display. Even if I fill them out they still keep occurring. Any ideas on how to stop them?
I'm getting them for attentive display. Very annoying.

Settings, apps, menu, show system, moto actions, notifications, block all.
Or chop to turn torch on, long press notification, i, block all

My Moto X came with a widget that could turn the location services on or off with having to open the settings. I'm guessing it was a motorola thing. I have not found anything for the s5 that will do it. Apparently its a google security thing? Any widgets out there that can do it?

You can just edit the shortcuts on the notification panel pull down settings to show the "location" button. You can toggle it on and off from there with a pull down and a press, I have mine set up like that.
Even with that, I still two separate Location Consents that I have to agree too.

Have you tried long pressing the toggle and turning it off in settings?

Who are you? You've commented on literally every thread in the S5 forums just repeating what someone else says/suggests...

Apparently a troll.. I've been noticing that too. I just ignore them, whoever they are.
to OP. That's because the Location Services are in depth. I believe I had two Approvals when I turned mine on the first time.
Well, I guess I'll leave it on since it doesn't drain the battery unless its in use. Thanks everyone (troll excluded).
Hello all
I seem to have a spot of bother, I had two notifications on my device.
I Long Pressed the notification until the screen changes, Giving you a option to Snooze or press the little "i" button.
When you press Snooze, how the hell do you get your notification back?
I use Rotation to force all into Landscape.
I done the Snooze on the apps notification, and i cannot get it to re-appear, I use the notification as a quick toggle to change from Force to Auto
I also done it on ShareKM
and i cannot get neither of them Back.
Even when i go to:
Settings / Sound & Notification / App Notifications
WHen i configure to allow Heads up etc, Still nothing.
Not even after a reboot.
Its obviously not a Snooze button, its more of a Here hide this notification FOREVER!!!
Anyway has anyone got a little more experience with how this works?
I dont want to have to re-flash for the sake of 2 notifications lol

Nope never found a fix. I eventually just re flashed the ROM because I disabled SMS notifications and didn't have a choice. Now I'm being very careful around that button.

Bummer, guess that will be me as well
unsnoozing notifications
I suppose this is too late, but perhaps it can help someone else. I found the option to remove the notification snooze (or filter) under privacy.
Go to settings, privacy, and then filter notifications. You'll need to delete the app in the list. I had to reboot for my changes to take effect.
Has anybody been able to enable ambient display on the marshmallow update?

Well, it works the same as lollipop, what are you expecting? Maybe tap to wake? That doesn't seem to be enabled, and there is no option. No big deal though, lift to wake works, just tap on the edge and it wakes up.

I was expecting unicorns and rainbows.
By 'enable' I mean working. It's not working for me at all. It doesn't even show in the settings. Hence the question.
Motorola cancelled the ambient display mode in 6.0. You can just use moto display in moto app. I have tried an ambient mode enabler in xposed but it doesnt work. I know the most guys like moto display more but for me ambient display is perfect.....

Thanks, I wasn't aware Motorola removed it. I'm in the same boat, I prefer AD over moto display.

So there's still no option to have it lift to wake to the standard Android lock screen - only lift to wake to the Moto Display lock screen?

Not that I can find no. I would prefer it go straight to my pin entry screen. The slider is a redundant extra step.

Seems to be unfortunately.
maybe you guys can give this a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achep.acdisplay
Real bummer that motorola removed it... I do use the moto display but I like to have options =)

I used to use AcDisplay on KitKat. It's a great notification screen and I even think it's better than the stock Motorola. I like ambient display just because of how it smoothly fades to the lockscreen. Sad that Motorola removed it but I'm sure we'll see it in some CM builds in a little bit.
Its a mess it seems they really delete it not just deactivate. Otherwise the exposed mod should work

Shame. I'm not sure, but I think it taps into using a movement sensor in a really low-power mode, that other apps can't emulate
But it still lite up ambient display for a sec when whatsapp notification (if moto display is off)
Anybody help to make AD work for us?
Just rename MotoDisplay_3.0.apk in /system/priv-app, restart and you're good to go.
By the way, the AD settings just returned to the Settings>Display after this.

Rename to what? This has me intrigued!
Just put a .bak in front of the .apk, in case you want the original Motorola screen back.

Im idiot, but i have folder MotoDisplay_3.0 under /system/priv-app and not the .apk file.
But even if i rename folder/apk i still have motodisplay and nothing in the setings-display about AD =(
So the volume control pop-up doesn't disappear automatically in MM. It waits for me to touch another part of the screen and only then disappears. I tried adjusting gravitybox settings to no avail. It's really annoying especially during games and video, requiring me to tap elsewhere, and interrupt my playback or game. Is there a fix or is this another "feature" of MM?
Curious about this as well, same issue.

Disabling Moto Voice in accessibility fixes this, and I found any features of Moto Voice that need this either

I was really skeptical about this but you're absolutely right. Disabling moto voice changes this behavior and the volume bar goes away in about a second and a half. Thanks!!
I've got a problem with the moto display in my Moto X Style XT1572 with Android 6.0.1.
When I receive a message, whatsapp, email etc, the display begins to turn on and off continuously until I confirm the notification.
I haven't turned on the option to turn on teh display when I approached my hand, or double tap of launcher nova or anything like that, any help?
Thankkksss
You have to turn off wake on approach, notifications, etc. in the Moto app. They use a separate app instead of integrating those settings with Display or Sound & Notifications.

Not on stock anymore, so I can't check. I remember an app called Moto that had moto display, moto voice, and something else (maybe the chop/twist gestures) all controlled from it.
