I used to have a Note-3 N900 model (TGY - HK) variant and recently the motherboard was water damaged and i bought a replacement board from the local market and got it installed by the seller as i didn't have time. The new installed board read NULL/UNKNOWN for both the baseband and the IMEI so i decided to install the original firmware again to see if it fixes the problem.
I flashed the stock firmware for the (TGY-HK) variant from Sammobile but unfortunately the process failed at the end. I tried again and again it failed.
Now i am stuck, i don't know what is the variant of the new motherboard installed.
So my question is that, are there any roms that would work on all N900 variants? Also if i disassemble the phone would i be able to detect the motherboard variant from a code or something printed on it?
Thanks in advance.
can you not ask the seller?
I did ask him already, but unfortunately they import the motherboards as lots from several countries so he doesn't know actually what variant is it.
If the HK won't work, try DL a BTU one from Sammobile. That should cover most of the Euro variants. Other than that, find a version for which you can also get a PIT file and flash the PIT so the partition matches the version you have to install. e.g. if you want HK firmware, find an HK PIT.

You'd need to check for a PIT for your device - apparently there are 16GB versions or 32GB ones. But you could try HERE for DL's and instructions.
Also you could try asking for someone with same phone to use one of the PIT apps to upload one for you.

What do you mean ??
You are replying to a three year old post .
I had some problem with a note 3 devise. I don't even know what is the vertion even. I tried with all the rims and bootloader using all the vertion of Odin. Finally the phone started with Odin 207 and honking 16 gb bootloader and honking 16 bg rom. But the only problem is that the storage redused to 16 gb ( I so 32 gb rom initially in settings ) and note 3 works fine now.
There was some problem with security and WiFi and some error also papers that frequently reset the phone. Any way now it is working well and updated to 5.0.0 over the air without any issues.
I don't know how I bricked the phone as I was fidilling with the settings truth Odin. And in between I have even git a message that the phone has lost firmware and do need to fix it with keys and keys was unable to identify the model.
Very difficult to understand your post .
Rim Honking Papers Git message .< makes it impossible to read and understand .

Hello,
I bought a note 3 n9005 european sim model
-from settings my phone reads different IMEI than the one written on the phone under the battery.
-The network goes down to emergency call only but never asked me for unlock PIN
-someone installed for me android 4.4.2 that deleted all options like air gestures and all other Samsung stuffs
- I wanted to return the phone to stock settings, firmware and unlock it.
-knox already tripped
Sounds like it was refurbished or something.
Best way to return to stock is flash stock rom from sammobile for the same region the phone original came from (eg: you got Japan phone, use Japan stock rom).
Your is Euro model, find which Euro country it came from and flash it. Now, you might get away with different regions - but this is only method I know works always.
It should restore original IMEI and other details, to use the sim.
If it doesn't match though... it's possible this phone was stolen or they changed the emmc board inside (due to water damage or something).
Good luck!
Hey,
i hope you guys can help me because im drowning with information here...
to make along story short.. i bought 2 p8 lite from germany few months ago... both was working great.
one of them fell into water and got damaged...
to fix it, i bought "new" mainboard also from germany. when i assembled it i discovered that its branded (vodafone).
it loads much slower then the other unbranded phone, and the much more disturbing issue is that almost none of the sensors are functioning (proximity, accelerometer, gyro) and second sim is disabled.
as far as i know is not a hardware malfunction, and i think that maybe it can be fixed by flashing new firmware.
the current version of the board is ALE-L21C02B130
i wanted to ask few things:
1. how can i know with version is suitable to my phone now (i want to unbrand it and to enable second sim)
2. once i flash it with other firmware will i be able to get OTA updates
thanks for helping
Dear Team, good afternoon,
I'm a 42 years old daddy, in love with Linux and doitbyyourself stuff!
My last message in a forum was probably more than 15 years ago, but this issue is driving me crazy.
Background: few time in the past I flashed, rooted some samsung devices, but honestly speaking I had no mood to learn anything more than that.
Few weeks ago I was tempted to install Lineage17.1 on my SM N9005 ( NOTE 3 Samsung)
and everything went smooth. The day after I realized the front camera was not working,
giving me a generic CAMERA FAILED error, crashing almost immediately or freezing my screen with a dark screen for few seconds.
Tried few classic solutions ( reboot, wipe, clear cache, full reboot removing battery) as suggested on this forum and on the web, but no luck. Not even other app like OPENCAM etc..
I decided to go back to stock and installed Lollipop. Surprise, no camera again
Probably odin problem or corrupted rom, so I tried I think not less than 5 more stock rom ( brand, no brand, etc) Never had the camera back.
I even tried to go back to original kitkat same error.
Being the camera the only broken/faulty hardware, I decided to by a new one.
No luck again...
Is there anything I am missing? Is it ever possible I'm the only one with this problem?
What would you do to investigate/solve this issue? Can you please help me
at least pointing me where to look for a solution?
For the moment I'm back to this firmware. Before wiping and trying something different
I thought I could ask to your advice
Model SM-N9005
Model name GALAXY Note 3
Country Singapore (XSP)
Version Android 4.4.2
PDA N9005DXUGNK1
CSC N9005OLCGNH1
Thanks for your time!
Hi guys,
I have a SM-G950U1 phone, and for a few weeks, the camera works only 1 time out of 10. And without any appearing reason.
I tried to reset the phone to factory parameters, it didn't solve the problem.
I thought it was a misconnection of the hardware, but after openeing the phone I didn't see anything weird.
I would like to flash a new firmware on the phone. But I am currently living in Europe and all the firmware I found are American.
I don't know if I flash one of those firmware it will still be working here...
Any thought about that ?
Thank you
