F.A.Q.
Album or Walkman FC: Download the Xperia Framework files from this post and flash it from recovery.
Album still FC: Maybe you have some framework file that conflicts with Album. Some of that files are for example: com.sonyericsson.dlna_impl.jar, com.sonyericsson.dlna.playanywhere.jar and com.sonyericsson.dlna.dtcpplayer.jar. If you don't need it, you can try to delete these files from /system/framework.
II want to use Album as system app: You need to flash the attached library from recovery to avoid FC.
Install as normal apk: tested on Xperia S with nAosp 5.1.1 b21.
Have a nice day

Updated to 9.0.1.A.1.0beta and added a link to a post with a port of some Xperia Framework files. Usefull for people with nAosp or CM12.x (and other AOSP based roms).
Greetings!!
On an additional note of bugfixes, song time is back with the new version.

Dont care about the zip. Its a zip installing z3 framework files to AOSP/CM LP devices to allow Sony OEM Apps to be installed without portin'
Updated Walkman to 9.0.1.A.2.0beta and added Album 7.2.A.0.14. For now Walkman is working fine with the framework files installed, but i've problems with Album.

(One Question: can the video recorder bug can be fix by any other apps?)
Hello
I've created an unofficial build for v1awifi SM-P900
Everything works except Youtube or video playback.
I don't have the device but I did have a user grab a logcat.
Any chance someone can take a look and give me some guidance?
Thank you
Hello all, first of all i am quite new and i don't know much about ROMs and kernels so please correct me when i get something whrong. I am looking for combination to get the best performance outta my Xperia SP. Things like android versions don't matter, i just want my phone to run multiple apps smoothly and problem free. I don't play any game, i use my phone for internet mostly. Please help me out people, just tell me something and i will do it because i don't have time to try things out myself.
And here is some questions if you wanna answer:
-Some ROMs are official and some are unofficial, how does this state matter?
-What does "Nightly" mean?
-I found "hubs" for Lollipop and Marsmallow, but i couldn't find any for Nougat, does this mean Nougat runs worse on Xperia SP?
Run Marshmallow or Nougat WITHOUT GAPPS. Gapps kills Xperia SP.
Like said, do not use gapps, it takes around 200mb extra from your ram. I run aosp nougat 7.1.2 by adriandc with fdroid. Very smooth phone . From fdroid I can recommend:
* Lightning browser
* NewPipe (Youtube client, very fast and has features to work in backround and PIP-mode)
* Open Camera (advanced and better camera)
* Slide or red reader (for Reddit)
* Telegram (messenger)
* Yalp Store (for all the apps from Play Store, does not update automatically)
What is fdroid?

F-droid is an open source alternative application store for Android. It has quite a lot of interesting apps, especially for those who (like me) do not want Gapps on their Xperias. Or other Android devices, of course.
You install it just by downloading an apk file (search the internet for it, it's easily accessible)

As he stated he uses (just like me) the F-droid.
In current release, F-droid can check for updated apps automatically and install them if you want.
I would suggest to use pico version of gapps since its the smallest version and the device will run just fine...
Hey
does anybody knows how viper4a would work with Samsung music ?
currently im using the latest oreo beta with magisk
and i have the magisk module for viper4a installed and also the universal deep buffer remover installed
so viper works with every app spotify , poweramp , youtube etc
but why not with samsung music ?
Ok found the solution. Posting it here if any body is going through the same issue.
• Move /magisk/v4a/system/etc/audio_effects.conf to /magisk/v4a/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf (check the permissions).
• Reboot.
it worked like a charm . enjoy :3
