In my opinion, XtreStoLite is THE BEST available rom for G900F. But i really have no ideea what is happening... I know that, at some point, EdgarF retired , but i knew that somebody else was trying to revive the evolution of the rom. Can anybody please, bring some light in this enigma???
Can someone elaborate on this? I am very interested, too...
I'm pretty sure it's dead; the end of the thread shows a mod trying to contact Edgar before locking the thread. He's been busy with an S6 and ignoring anything coming from the S5.
There's a variant update for the 900H (exynos), but nothing left for the international version.
I'm using a stock 5.1.1 (G900W8) rom debloated using the URWSoft Barebone Cleaner (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/mod-urwsoft-barebone-cleaner-t3043479). He built that specifically to give any rom an xtrestolite feel. It's not quite as super light as Edgar's was, but at least he's still developing and not just abandoning his projects.
I think the reason the rom was closed was because there was a major problem where the rom would enable reactivation lock by default and it would potentially brick peoples phones.

Hey Guys -
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about stable ROM's for the Verizon Samsung S5? I'm going to downgrade my 5.0 to 4.4.4 (using this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-downgrade-lollipop-5-0-to-kitkat-t3088571) and do all that stuff, but I wasn't sure if there are any restraints on the type of ROM's you can flash. It's my understanding that Cyanogen doesn't have anything besides nightlies right now for the Verizon S5?
Thanks in advance!
K
You need to use one of the roms from the development forum for the verizon s5. It doesn't have an unlocked bootloader, so Cyanogen won't even run. Most roms on the forums are generally stable, but the most stable are either stock rooted or extremely debloated ones.
What is best is always subjective. What may be best for one person is not best for someone else.
We recommend you take a look read all the available ROMs decide which one you want to try out and determine for yourself.
Always give the rom at least 1 week to settle in and use before making a decision.
Thread is being moved to Q&A section as you are asking a question and looking for guidance.

Have a great day!
Hello everyone!
First thread here. Been a long time lurker and been grabbing and flashing custom ROMs for the nexus 5 until i switched to the note 4 (beautiful device, really). Well, since i cant post in the development thread due to my status as a new member, i thought kd post my inquiry here.
Im looking for custom ROMs for the 910c variant. I prefer to keep the TouchWiz features so AOSP ROMs, even though great, are not what im looking for. Glamor rom ported from the s6 seems very tempting, but being based on 5.0.1 (2?) Im a bit skeptical about it. My 910c is running on stock unrooted 5.1.1 which is great in terms of performance and battery life and id appreciate it if i could be directed on custom ROMs based on this build (any sign of a note 5 port? That would be ideal).
My problem with the 5.0.x builds, apart from the various bugs that the amazing, most talented devs have surely taken care of is that i read somewhere in the development forum (exynos) is that if i make a backup of my phone (running on 5.1.1) from kies and restore it on a custom ROM based on 5.0.x, well, im gonna have problems.
So....any recommendations?
All help would be appreciated
base on s6 port... i can recommend 2...
Sixperience http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/rom-sixperience-s6-port-v1-0-stable-t3190233
Glamor http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/glamour-s6-rom-t3136786
glamor got a screen freeze problem... but not everyone got it... I prefer sixperience for stable usage. Sixperience dev are currently porting N5 apps. When will it be release... cant say but he has make a great progress.
Base on 5.1.1
Wanam Lite http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/rom-wanamlite-clean-odex-xposed-t2923266
eRobot http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/erobot-rom-note4-n910c-7-xxu1bog1-t3174248
RulingLite http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/4-4-4-rom-tr-rom-t01-super-fast-powerful-t2936453 (this one got a lil s6 apps)
thats all right now...
Im using Sixperience Rom..
Known bugs:
- touch key light not working
- Fingerprint
Best rom I've used so far...
Thanks a lot guy! I'll check out wanamlite and erobot! Hoping glamor rom and sixperience get upgraded to 5.1.1
hi all
I've always used a stock rom for the note 4
I want to have full access on the phone (in order to be able to control network access, for instance for apps forcing LTE mode (advanced network settings) or for battery saving apps that cannot shut down data when needed)
I tired to root my stock rom but that wasn't enough for those apps (forcing LTE or battery saving apps )
Can some tell me which custom rom make that possible ?
thanks
Hello everyone,
I personally never owned a Samsung device (always Nexus and mostly with Paranoid Android or Dirty Unicorns ROM) but my girlfriend has one and she defeniately needs it to be flashed :good:
As I am completely new to Samsung devices, I have no idea about all the developers and different ROMs that are out there for the Samsung Note 4 (Snapdragon).
I don't have much time to try around with different ROMs as it isn't my phone.
I need one that is good, stable, fast (and also supports the stylus / samsung apps). So I can flash it quickly and have a happy girlfriend
So that is the reason I an asking in the first place. Else I would just flash around and keep trying until I find the best fit.
I saw CM is officially supporting the Note 4. So that one might be a good solution. But does it have all those stylus samsung stuff?
Any other ROMs I should check out?
Do I need to flash a new radio?
Thanks in advance and sorry for posting another "which ROM" thread. But I can't really test around to find out on my own as it is not my device that I am going to improve !
If n910g, this is highly recommended, although you have to disable or uninstall later all apps that you don't want if you want a debloated rom.

It is N910F.
The link you provided is simply stock android MM?
Yes stock MM, stock is in my experience the most stable and bug free rom build. But the link is for n910g unfortunately.
Stock ROM, and then debloat yourself. Quite honestly speaking, and no offence to anyone, there are no good ROMs available for Note 4. In fact I myself might have not got the phone if I realised the development section is like this. And I am not interested in ported ROMs, so even though there are many available I won't go that way, and I am too dumb to make a ROM for myself, so stock ROM it is.
I agree, stock rom rooted and debloat it, and apply msm tweaks. If you want, xposed as well.

You must flash samsung based rom to have all soen features and samsung apps. I reconnemed kurama rom which in using , its battery friendly, fast and stock based. If you going to flash kurama rom you must flash modem and bootloader for the rom to boot up (only can be flashed from pc with odin)
Hello all, might have posted this in the wrong section, however .
Can anyone advise whats the best stable, custom non stock rom for the N910F Note 4, BTU?
There;s that many around.
Ideally one that has 'S' pen features and doze working.
Never tried a custom rom before, thought I'd give one a try, hopefully to banish all the google bloatware!
Cheers
Hey guys,
I want to flash a custom ROM on my s7 edge, model SM-G935F.
for the purpose of updating it's firmware and kernel. you know, newer software, more functions, better performance, better battery life. such things.
i'm on android 7.0 at the moment, and want to switch to 8.0 if not newer.
but there are too many options. and i really tried informing myself on the topic.
ROMs with S9 experience sound nice but I don't want to switch my ROM around everytime in the case of bugs.
this topic is so hard for me because in every thread i could see people saying it would be the best ROM they ever had, some say else.
please tell me your experiences with different ROMs.
a must-have is a fix for the securitylogagent, or removel or whatever. it keeps popping up on my phone and its annoying as hell.
thanks for your replies in advance
could someone recommend some?
SuperMan rom is the best
I would reccommend sac23's s9 port but he took the thread down. If its possible I could share a mirror of the zip.
