Lol. You are a cheater man Im sure you checked your device's root situation with Root Checker app and busybox installed. If it shows that the device is rooted, its game killer app's issue. Play hard man dont cheat

I didnt try it in the recent past, so i hope it works and if does let me know.

First of all idk much about it too. I think it is necessarily using by custom roms to make linux commands work on android system. If you use the apps which need a rooted device, they(some of) also need busybox too. Just install and leave it alone.

It does or can get kinda repetitive when you do it over and over. Its a lot better if you have something like Titanium Backup makes restores bearable.

Astro File Manager (may require Pro version?) has an app backup function. Not as nice as Titanium Backup, but it doesn't require root.
Also, don't forget to update your radio and WiMAX as per the OP on that thread.
i find it amusing that the same people who were afraid or for whatever reason didnt root, are now flashing this fake unreleased 2.2 and complaining about the issues with it... if you want an official release, wait for it to be officially released
I dont really care what you think. If you dont have an answer to the question dont reply and dont waist my and others time. got it ? get it ? good

Go to the g1 dev section and find ezterrys guide on updating to the 1.33.0013/0013d spl and latrst radio. Then flash one of the two roms linked to in my signature. (Firerats cm7 is.. well.. cm7. That's both good and bad. I highly recommend ezterry's ezgingerbread rom. Simply the best gingerbread rom for 32b devices and probably 32a too.)
thanks man
thanks man. done and working great. ) btw how can i turn the S-ON to S-OFF? cuz now i have S-ON.. does this matter or i can just leave it like that?

Using ezgingerbread? That's a security feature. And a nice one too.
Go to settings>applications > development and check "update superuser" then try to update
yeah. im using ezgingerbread rom. like u said. and it is working perfectly.. loved it!!! thank u so much man.. ) ahh. i see. is this because of my S turn on? is it ok that i have S-ON?

S-on? Does not affect the rom in any way really. There is no eng spl that gives the extra 15mb ram that 0013 gives us. If you want s-off, flash an spl like 1.33.2005 or 2010, and lose 15 MB of ram.
The ONLY thing I ever needed s-off for is changing the splash screen.
ahh. i see. i think im gonna stick with s-on. hehe.. thanks again man. ) really appreciate it.. btw do u know how to the fix black screen in youtube? i tried youtube in my phone and when i play it, its just all black but the audio is playing. sorry if i ask to many questions.. im still new in this kind of things. thanks again man. ^_^

busybox.net
The Swiss army knife of embedded linux. Basically it's most, if not all of the binaries you need to get a working, usable Linux system all in one slim binary.
From the android point of view, it gives is a much more gnu-like environment in the command line.
For the end user, most don't know, need, or care about it except for the fact that some apps need it.
Ezgingerbread has it built-in.
i see.. ezgingerbread has it built-in.. u mean this here in ezgingerbread extras? this busybox NTP Client in the extras? should i check this? thanks man

The ntp client option runs ntpd from busybody to keep the clock accurate.
Busybox is located in /system/xbin. To actually use it, open a terminal emulator and run one of the applets it has. Ntpd is one of them. So is ls and df and everything else you'd expect to find in a Linux os

follow link above and Downgrade, sucks that you updated, but don't worry you can downgrade to the awesome 2.2.1!
It's quite difficult to brick the phone if you follow the steps exactly. the only time you may brick the phone is when it is during the process of flashing the stock 2.2.1 rom, and you pull the battery or something. So make sure you're battery is charged! and secure.

ah, when you try that command, it has to be tried through adb, and the phone has to be in a custom recovery, like clockworkmod or 4EXT. since you don't have a custom recovery currently installed, it won't work. so try the other command, through terminal emulator.

I JUST GOT REALLY SCARED NOW!
i was browsing a website with aosp (using Cyanogenmod) and as i switch pages to the second page i get this:
Android Warning
mobicorp kind of ad
saying that my samsung galaxy s4 is infected..
now i searched on google and webutation or something and webutation said that is was a clean site. it even is a antivirus for android.
and some people in a forum said that that is a way for antivirus programs to get users. is that true ? does that mean that my phone is not infected ?
Install one antivirus in ur mobile and make a complete scan. If ur phone is infected make a CLEAN installation of ur firmware and is all (wiping it all)

I'm sorry if this may sound rude, but..
Do we really need to spoon feed you like a baby?
If you would read, you would know. You don't even have to read the thread, because the zip names tell you what to use.
And it's impossible to use the wrong one, because, if you do use the wrong one, it simply won't install the framework.
