I downloaded root checker pro to check that my device is rooted or no. When I check it says that root access is not installed in the device but it is saying that busybox is installed. What is this? Is busybox is installed by cyanogen or is it harmfull . I searched on internet it said that a rooted device has busybox. Please someone help me!
I don't want to root my device.

ok so I had a rooted phone running AOKP and franco kernel, it was all fine. but then being the irritatingly impatient person that i am, i wanted android 4.3 so flashed the stock rom, and so everything is now stock, which is what i wanted. BUT, I can't use root! I have supersu installed but whenever an application request root...nothing. literally nothing happens, it's meant to pop up with a little box asking me if i want the app have root access, but now it doesn't come up. It may be linked to the fact that whenever I open supersu it says "The SU binary needs to be updated. Continue?" so obviously i tap continue, but then it says installing for a about half a second, then it just says "Installation failed!". I've looked around and some people say they can't update their supersu binary if they don't have busybox. When i rooted with Nexus 4 Toolkit (thanks so much mskip. also because of what i say after this it may make this thanks look sarcastic. it's not, nexus 4 toolkit has been amazingly useful to me) it told me busybox had been installed, so i just assumed that it had been. when i saw people saying that i may need busybox i download a busybox installer from Play and it told me i didn't have busybox. so i told it to install busybox and it said "Installing BusyBox v1.20.2 failed. Please try installing a different version. Please note that BusyBox installer attempts to install BusyBox to your system. Some versions of busybox may not work with some devices. If problems persist please email us and we will be glad to offer our assistance". as it suggested i tried other versions of busybox. in fact i tried every version the app would let me try, and none of them worked.

Hi there guys and gals,
I just rooted my s5 running NK2 by Odining down to NCG, installing towel root and then Odining back up to NK2. I downloaded root checker which says I am rooted, I have downloaded es file Explorer and been able to write to SD, and I've downloaded TI backup and deleted all the Verizon bloatware on my stock samsung rom, but when I tried to install busybox, I get an error that reads "I am unable to verify if certain utilities this application needs to function are present and functioning on your device. This could be the result of a device being misrooted or a supersu error. Please try again".
I've tried rebooting the device,
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling busybox and haven't gotten any improvements.
Please let me know if you can help!

Hello everybody,
recently I updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) to Android Lollipop 5.0, After that I downloaded CF Auto Root and it looked like it rooted perfectly, it rebooted in the screen with the red android pirate thingy and after that it rebooted my device with SuperSU installed on it. Then I started downloading some root apps to see if it worked. Root Checker said my device was rooted and then I downloaded GameCIH, it asked for root access and I granted the root access but when it was done loading it says: System Deny to Root. I searched the internet and found out that GameCIH doesn't work on Honeycomb or above, so i tried downloading SB Game Killer or Game Guardian, but both asked for root access but crashed after a couple of seconds so i tried re-rooting but when i opened SuperSU it sayed: There is no SU Binary installed, and SU can't install one. This is a problem! If you just switched to Android 5.0, then you need to re-root your device manually.
Can anyone help me with this problem, because I dont know what to do?
You need to go to "About Phone" in settings. Tap on "Build Number" until developer options is unlocked. Once unlocked go to Developer Options and enable the root access.

Have you got busybox installed. Some apps need busybox. Install it from playstore and install busybox.

But i granted 4 apps and now suddenly its not rooted anymore. How can that happen i even got superSU pro. Tried to root again with Odin still same problem. Only got the 4 first apps i installed that required root then its not rooted anymore.
