I have a green lens defy which was running cm7.2 stable. Earlier today i opened it to see if i could get rid of a crackling noise from the earpiece. I opened and closed up the phone and the crackling stopped however the bottom half of my screen started giving trouble.i can control the top half perfectly but the bottom half keeps behaving like im touching and leaving the phone so when Swyping i get it as if ive tapped multiple letters rather than drawn a line across them. Ive cleaned out the cache and even gone back to stock to no avail. Ive done the obvious of reopening phone and checking the connector between the digitizer and the circuitry but thats fine. I removed and inserted it multiple times with no change. The bottom half seems to pick up taps properly but no drags and all drags that are picked up are pick up as horizontal lines. Ive even adjusted the digitiser connector while the phone was powered on to see if it was a loose connection of sorts but to no avail. Contacts and the like are clean. Warrtny expired 10 days ago :/ . Any ideas?
you must change the touch screen ok ,there is option to reassemble ok .iam also having this trouble in touch screen ok .i changed the touch screen in moto service centre ok.it cost 3500rs

Hello, I had the same problem with one red lens, the touchscreen was broken and replace it (only touch unframed), then manually pasted what the problem started exactly at the top, I thought it was spoiled (badly damaged pegadao ) and change it again, but still the same, so I thought some of the software and did everything and nothing, now I buy a touchscreen with frame to avoid having to manually paste if that works. What do you think? What do I do?

All of a sudden I noticed tiny blue dots on my Defy Plus display in the middle area over 4*3cm2 ...I accidently dropped my phone 1 hour back...(I had dropped it many times before and nothinghad happened back then).What could be the problem? What is the solution for that?? Is it covered under warranty???

So i got a i9505 s4 dirt cheap (20euros), the screen was broken, last owner said it stopped working when he tried installing cyanogenmod.
I ordered new screen(original), installed stock rom and it got stuck in sview, i tried everything and nothing worked.
Next i tried rom called aosb (i don't remember if its the correct name, similar to cyanogenmod) it got me to home screen, for 15sec it worked great but then screen went black, phone was still going but everytime i tried to unlock it went black again.
Next i took phone apart, maybe i missed something or frogot to connect, but everything looked good. I googeled for possible problems and found that the proximity sensor(next to the top speaker) maybe broken, disconnected it and still same result. For testing purpose i disconnected front camera and phone worked, but only for 20min when the android tried to update gapps and then i was stuck at not able to unlock again.
Took phone apart third time, cleaned all the contacts etc, installed cyanogenmod and it works, but without front camera.
So my questions are
1. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
2. Is there a way to use back camera without front one being connected? i can live without front camera
3. Why it goes to sview with stock rom?

Well try changing the ear piece module..its something in it maybe.. the proximity sensors are with the earpiece module..
1. Sview random appearances have been noted by many, there must be more to the mystery of this broken S4. A possible magnet sensor error..try disabling it via the xposed modules..anyhow.
2. Well you disconnect the font cam and everything works fine? Eh..never heard something like that..
3. Maybe because of a broken/weird magnetic sensor. As i said..
Plus are you sure without breaking rhe flex you removed and replaced and removed..
Your front cam not working could be because of a bad connection too..
Best is to try *#0*# in the phone menu and try testing the front cam and everything to check whether everything works fine

Hi all dear members. Since the first day i bought this phone i've been seeing lots of screen issues about it but i never thought i would have one. It's proved me wrong.
So here's my problem, my device has developed halo all around it when the bg color gets grey. Most of the time , it's not obvious. I can live with that. Recently, my screen starts to show me some tv-like stripes every now and then, it doesn't last long. after one second or two, it disappera and then it'll show from time to time.
I'm afraid it's just the start. It's similar to most of the issue ppl claim as screen flikering or screen jittering or shaking screen, it's a bit different though.
Has anyone encountered the same issue. More importantly, has anyone found any solutions yet? I searched google and failed to find answers. And i looked into it on Baidu,a chinese search engine, where i found some answers that claims it's not the screen issue ,instead , it's just the ribbon cable is lose. And anyone who replace a new screen for that is stupid.I'm just not sure about this.
My phone was bought on the internet and shipped to China, thus, I don't have warranty to rely on. And my phone is only 10 months old. I never dropped it and i have kept it well.(LG logo on the rear back still falls off), I just don't get why LG made this so vulnerable.
Even though i have ordered the nexus 6, my g2 running CM12 is still crazily fast and I don't want to give up on it. I'm so happy about my d802 except for all issues about the screen.

Hi, I also have a problem with the screen on my lg g2, appeared to me that the white line disappears and comes back, when I do print screen and transfer the image on the computer that line is not visible, and that line is not always the same intenziteta.Try to do print screen and set an image or we send the mail to compare the problem
i'm so pissed about the screen, yes, my gnex bought 3 years ago looks yellow and ****ty. but other than that, totally fine, but for g2, ive read so many complaints about it. Guess no one has figured it out. Maybe I will open my phone and try to figure out when the screen completely goes crazy. During I type, it has happed for 4 times . so very annoying.

I think you should try to put in some rom, I hope it's a software problem, I found the solution for my phone cloudy g3:good:
i flash different cm12 nightlies. i don't think its a software related issue. I'm not the only one with this issue. Yesterday I opened this phone ,well with my fingernails. And coz I didn't have the right screwdriver, I wasn't able to open that black cover at the button down bellow the battery, but I cleared the places around the USB port and there's a black tape glued near the camera , I pressed it and I put the phone together and guess what, the problem was gone for one day, and I will continue to keep an eye on it.

Ive been looking for a solution but havent found it yet.
I got a tab 4 10.1 with 5.0.2r, i got a deadspot that is about 1cm wide and couple mm in hight.
I confirmed it when checking with touch test app but the weird thing is, when i draw horizon lines it shows clearly where the dead spot is but it will let me draw vertical lines.
Hope its not broke as i have no more warrancy so maybe there are some tricks.
Ofc i already powered off the device and restarted.
