Samsung KNOX checks your device status before starting..
When you have installed a custom os or you have rooted your phone, your device status changes from official to custom..So, there's no possible way to install KNOX again until you change the motherboard of your device..

Hi! I have the i9505 rooted! I have used triangle away to reset the flash counter which now reads 0, but I still cannot update ota. The device status still comes up as custom. Anyone know a way around this? Thanks!

To receive ota you don't have to be rooted, even you are stock.

You forgot to un-root the phone.
Go to app drawer and click on SuperSU and you will
find an option which says "Full Unroot" select that
and reboot the phone and try the OTA and or Kies
update again.
Good luck!
Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask you something about Knox but I ask here because in the main thread the question would disappear between the pages.
Yesterday I flashed stock rom again, after having custom rom, and now I'm on stock with Knox 0x1.
I wanted to ask what would happen if I try to install the Knox app while Knox is 0x1?
It won't work? It will brick my device? or what?
Thanks
It will download a big file, then a message will appear that it cant/wont install....

Yes, full unroot using SuperSU after reversing any system file changes / or flash a stock ROM again
No, once you trip KNOX to 0x1, that's it forever
Probably a stupid question but do I need to unlock the bootloader on my 901F before rooting via this method?
If so what's the current prefered method for this please?
Cheers,
Sean.
Hi
i remember unrooting my galaxy s6 by flashing stock rom with all its files, i mean the csc file and the others ? , but i dont know if that method is still working because of the new security updates, knox and whatnot
am really bad at this, but i just wanna be able to use bixby and it says i have to update my software
so, how is it done ?
thank u all
Just flash Stock Samsung Rom.
Knox can't be changed however. That's gone forever.
True
in quick you can't
root access can be removed by flashing stock firmware but as knox is tripped when rooting, there is no way to reset knox counter.
if you flash stock firmware, no root access of course but you won't be able to use Samsung pay, Samsung health, secure folder and samsung pass, and this is permanent and forever, as these apps check knox status and not root access. I suggest you to keep using custom rom as you will be able to use apps like samsung health and maybe samsung pay
Depending on your rom, you should still be able to use bixby.
What variant you're on?
