I'm looking at the specs for the Moto X pure on the motorola site
The band specifications say: 4G LTE† (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 41)
However, previously it was 4G LTE† (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41)
Was band 38 removed after the MM upgrade?

I'm curious about what cellular frequencies this device supports, specifically LTE frequencies. I'm seeing some disparity with its supported LTE bands across LG, T-Mobile, the FCC, my own experience and various spec sites.
The FCC itself tested LTE bands 2, 4/66, 5, 12 and 13, while T-Mobile says 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13. LG's site says 1, 2, 3, 4/66, 5, 7, 12, 13, 20. My own experience has shown me roaming on AT&T's LTE band 17, which adds yet another band to the list. GSMArena says the same as LG's website. Phone Arena says 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 26, 28, which adds even more on. Frequency Check has the same report as LG's website.
What bands does this device actually support?
I just bought Moto G5 Plus and I'm about to leave for USA after 3-4 months. I'd like to know if the phone purchased in India will support 4G in the US or not?
The bands listed on Flipkart's site are -
GSM: 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz; UMTS: 850, 900, 2100 MHz; 4G LTE (B1, B3, B5, B8, B40)
The U.S variant of Moto G5 Plus (XT1687) supports these 4G LTE bands -
B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 38, 41, 66
And Indian variant supports -
B1, 3, 5, 8, 40
So B 1, 3, 5 are common for both. You may get 4G for carriers using those bands.
It depends on the carrier and how widely they use those bands.
Asus website (https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-Max-Pro-ZB602KL/Tech-Specs/) mentions that there will be two verions of this phone.
A version will support
FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)
TDD-LTE (Band 40)
Supports VoLTE
WCDMA (Bands 1, 5, 8)
EDGE/GPRS/GSM (Bands 2, 3, 5, 8)
B version will support
FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 18, 19, 26, 28)
TDD-LTE (Bands 34, 38, 39, 40, 41)
Supports VoLTE, with 2CA
CDMA (BC0)
TD-SCDMA (B39, B34)
WCDMA (Bands 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 19)
EDGE/GPRS/GSM (Bands 2, 3, 5, 8)
Does anyone knows Which version of Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be launched in India?
I think Version-A
Can anyone reply
Indian version is ZB601KL.
Indonesian version is ZB602KL (which you put the link on OP).
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using XDA Labs
Edit: ZB601KL (Indian Version) is:
FDD-LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)
TD-LTE (Band 40)
WCDMA (Bands 1, 5, 8)
GSM (Bands 2, 3, 5, 8)
Version A to answer your question.
sroy, thanks for reply. So this phone doesn't support Carrier Aggregation? Current indian owners, plz help in this regard as I am planning to purchase 6GB version. I am currently using Redmi Note 4x - 4GB version. I was a loyal customer of Xiaomi since 2013, but pathetic updates have ruined my experience of enjoying this phone & I believe Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be perfect replacement.
I am currently in India and planning to buy 8 Pro here and use it in USA with AT&T. Are there any important bands missing?
Bump..
The Indian version of the 8 Pro out of the box does not support the 5G bands used in the US and Canada. I think AT&T uses Band 5 right now, which is not available on the Indian model. You should be good with 4G/LTE support for AT&T with the Indian model though. I've listed the supported bands for the International and Indian models of the 8 Pro below (taken from the OnePlus websites).
International Version (US/Canada)
LTE-FDD:B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 66, 71
LTE-TDD:B34, 38, 39, 40(Roaming), 41, 46, 48
5G: n2, n5, n66, n41, n71
MIMO:LTE: B2, 4, 7, 25, 66, 41, 48 NR: n2, n66, n41
Indian Version:
LTE-FDD:B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26
LTE-TDD:B34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46
5G: n78
MIMO:LTE:B1, 3, 41, 40 NR: n78
Hi everyone,
I have a Exynos SM-G975F/DS. I successfully put LineageOS on it yesterday. But I am wondering if there is any way I can enable LTE bands 29, 30, and 46.
According to gsmarena.com the SM-G975W (Canadian model) has bands:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 46, 66
While the SM-G975F (international model) and SM-G975F/DS (dual SIM version) have bands:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66
Is there some way to enable the missing bands? And potentially turn off the ones not used in Canada (17, 26, 28, and 32)?
Thanks,
The Fish
Hi everyone,
I have stumbled upon some additional information. Apparently *#*#197328640#*#* should get me into the service menu on LineageOS but it doesn't. As soon as I press the last * it just disapears. It feels like the service menu "app" (is it an app?!?) might be launching and immediately closing/crashing.
The testing menu by dialing *#*#4636#*#* works however. But doesn't let me change bands.
Thanks,
The Fish
