Latest roms are good too. Latest miui.it rom have OTA support too

Smiui is good. It's basically the xiaomi.eu build with some tweaks and some stuff removed. I've found it has the best performance, stability and battery life. Cm11 used less memory, but was less stable. All the AOSP roms I tried were unusable.

I've been thinking about getting the Mi Note 2. Since it's snapdragon based, will it be getting official CyanogenMod support and other AOSP ROMs? I know some of the Redmi phones have stable CM builds but I haven't found one for the newer Mi 5.
Based on history, what do you guys think?
And how stable are the CM builds on other Xiaomi phones? Do things like the camera, GPS, and fingerprint sensor still work as they would on stock MIUI?
I think there's a really good chance. For whatever reason the stock rom tends to leak...
also Mi5 has CM - http://en.miui.com/thread-280535-1-1.html

Hello guys,
I am finding a fast and stable ROM for my redmi 3s with no bloatware and good RAM management (currently using havoc which takes up around 1.4GB RAM out of 2GB!!)
There should be atleast Android 7 and 8/9 is even better. Please take out Lineage,Havoc and Crdroid out.
Hoping to get fast and nice answers!

Hi
There are a lot of custom roms to choose from and I'd like to hear your opinion on which custom rom has good battery life comparable to stock rom.
Try Bootleggers or crDroid

I think that a right out-of-the-box ROM with battery life comparable to MIUI would be Lineage

Check some of the most popular roms, by the either filtering by views or comments. Now smooth performance and great battery backup is subjective, for each user. Best way would be to flash and test yourself each rom.
Lineage 19 from Arian is a monster - battery last 2 times more than MIUI, banking apps works after configuring deny list in magisk, use also magisk hide and universal safetynet module.
