Is there any separate supersu versions for moto x play marshmallow i tried the supersu beta 2.52 And 2.56 but the phone is stuck in bootloop need help to root marshmallow moto x play
you need supersu 2.62
Worked perfect
That worked perfect mate thanks for the quick reply cheers :good::good:
How did you flashed the 2.62 zip file if when you get to recovery, TWRP don't recognize the file, no matter the folder where you put it.
That is what happens to me. Any advice?

2.62 SuperSU the latest I think there are two
2.61 and 2.62 are working. Not clear with 2.60
Versions before 2.52 doesn't work

Sounds like you installed a version prior to 2.61. You can transfer it to your phone when in TWRP. Try flashing it and rebooting, if that doesn't work you'll have to do a full restore from your backup and reboot, then flash Supersu 2.62.

Is there a working version for 6.0.1? I've been trying to root for hours and nothing. Every time I install SuperSU (I've tried 2.65 and 2.74) it will softbrick my phone, making it stuck at the bootloader warning message, forcing me to flash install stock rom and go through the fresh install every time.
Any one plz help me .i have installed Twrp 3.0.2 and after installing supersu 2.65 i have lost my base band data .i have installed the stock rom and tried to install supersu 2.62 and 2.46 but no use again i have lost my base band data.plzz help me to root my device with out losing base band data??
After reading some threads someone said you can install and use all the latest su versions by installing it systemless. You must open the terminal command in twrp recovery and type this:
echo "SYSTEMLESS=true" >> /data/.supersu
After this you should be able to flash all newest/latest versions.
is this sure?has anyone tryied it?I can't run an app that needs latest supersu.I am on 2.62-3.

I've tried to dig more in it, and what I get is
1. The only way I succeed is by using KingRoot, and the method it's using is by exploiting and keeping a daemon background and the su file for calling the daemon. So that means after reboot, root is lost.
3. Replacing KingRoot with SuperSU's su file will lead to a bootloop, same as goes to installing zip by twrp.
4. In the bootloop, logcat shows that it is repeating a particular normal boot process
5. In the bootloop, using adb shell and typing "su" will not get into root, despite su is located in xbin.
6. Busybox functions normally.
Any ideas?

Hi, I'm very interesting to this discussion, because yesterday my a700yd update to lollipop, then I root it with king root, but many app eg. leandroind not function with kingroot, so I use kingroot remove script but i'm occurred in bootloop, so I reflash original kitkat firmware but the phone does'nt work correctly, so I reflash lollipop firmware and all work perfectly. Now I would ask you if there is a functionally root method for a700yd?
Ps:when I do a wipe data in recovery mode, I have an error: E:can't mount /preload.

From my current experience, no. The sad thing is I'm not skilled enough to do it myself, and seemly there is no reason that skilled devs are willing to have a head in to this not-quite-popular device.
Btw, you need to format /system partition before you flash the kitkat(well, maybe it works maybe it don't, it's just my experience.)

Nope, it will only do that if you attempt to replace Kingroot with supersu.
If you apply supersu to a clean stock boot and system partition it shouldn't boot loop.

If you have twrp installed I will upload a modified version of SuperSU which will allow systemless root on 5.0.2.
This will patch the boot image and should prevent a bootloop.

If you flashed the stock rom that should remove the Kingroot and Super su binaries.
Are you using a stock kernel?
Usually only 5.1.1 and 6.0> need a patched boot.img as Samsung don't use root protection on 5.0.2 firmware.
However never say never and Samsung may may now be using root prevention in the later 5.0.2 kernels.
This means that a patched boot image is required to circumvent Samsung's root prevention.
If you have the boot.img I can patch it manually.

I wiped my phone again and tried it
Here's my procedure
Wipe everything excluding external storage
reboot to bootloader and odin in stock rom
reboot to bootloader again and odin in twrp
reboot to recovery
twrp pops up patch notification(agrees and applied)
install SuperSU 2.65(stable) via sideload
reboot into system
Bootloop. ):
What does not cause bootloop
Stock ROM
TWRP installed only with stock ROM
What causes bootloop
installing SuperSU just after TWRP install (via zip or sideload)
Other problems
installing SuperSU from TWRP built-in will cause a recovery loop(unable to get past recovery screen)
=========
the recovery works good! (a good news at least)

Can you elaborate more about the error?
Normally it gives 'no space left' error in YOG4PAS8A4 build. For this you have to uninstall some system apps like Chrome, YouTube and other, after that you can flash Xposed.

Internal storage and /System partition space are different things. You have to uninstall some system apps as I told in my previous post. This guide (old but it'll do) can help you to removing those apps.
After uninstalling some apps you can flash Xposed.
BTW, you can also upgrade TWRP recovery to latest version.

I'll give my What's app no. if you face any problem after following these steps.
Thank you very much bro!!!!

Loosing root is expected. Next time you upgrade your ROM, you can try using FireFlash or something similar to try and retain root. But regarding bootloop I am not sure. I usually flash the ROM and gapps and let it boot. If everything is working, then only I flash superSU. Which version are you flashing anyways?
Hello forum,
Is it truly possible to root the xt1563 running 6.0.1? I've followed multiple sties with instrutions and when I can easily get past unlocking the bootloader, installing twrp but when I go to install the supersu from twrp, I go into a boot loop.
Can someone here say that they've successfully rooted their xt1563 running 6.0.1? If so, where did you get your files?
Thanks!
I rooted my XT1603 on 6.0.1 successfully. I used twrp-lux-3.0.2-r3.img and flashed supersu 2.46, got a bootloop. I reflashed supersu 2.62-3, still got a bootloop. Then I reflashed supersu 2.65 and it worked. Thanks to this post:

thanks chinhodado. I will try to flash with 2.65. Do you know where I can find the same file you used?
Here: https://download.chainfire.eu/921/SuperSU
Didn't work. I first tried 2.65 then it froze on load-up. I left it for about 3 minutes, then rebooted in recovery. Tried 2.62 same thing. I left it load this time for 7 minutes. Stuck on motorola planet picture.
I honestly don't know what it takes to root this device. oneclickroot.com offer rooting for 39.95 which I think is silly. Somehow they seem confident that they are able to sell a "root" package.
I remain confused and frustrated.
thanks for trying to help chinhodado

only systemless method work on moto x play whether its XT1562 / 1563
Go to terminal in TWRP - Advanced-Terminal type command in your phone
Code: echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/general/how-to-root-moto-x-play-xt1562-running-t3509344
I did not have to enter any command when I rooted my phone and it still succeeded in the end. I think 2.62-3 uses systemless root by default. It doesn't hurt to try though.
I am getting the same problem on XT1562, it stucks on Bootloader warning, tried everything above and available elsewhere. Help!
so i recently got the pixel, had the moto x for about a year and decided to see what was going on with the rooting scene with this device. turns out that someone came along and created a simple solution to rooting and installing twrp for this device. I was happy. TWRP works just fine. But upon flashing SuperSU and rebooting from that i'm now stuck on the M logo permanently it seems. Yes i can reboot back into recovery and fastboot mode. But i can't seem to get past the M logo and all i've done was flash TWRP and SuperSU any idea about what's going on?
You need to flash as systemless root. Recent versions of SuperSU installs it as system root by default on this phone for some reason.
The SuperSU zip from my thread does it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...t/rom-marshmallow-6-0-september-2016-t3536120

No offense, but why are you bothering to root if you are just going to flash a ROM?
Also, there is nothing wrong with the latest version of SuperSU, you just need to do a manual systemless flash by creating the file /data/.supersu with the contents "SYSTEMLESS=true" and it will work perfectly.

That's exactly what my zip does. I've only put it together to make the process much simpler, and I love automating stuff when it's possible.
SuperSU inside is unmodified. Updater-script copies a file named "systemless" from the zip which has "SYSTEMLESS=true" in it to /data, renames it to ".supersu", then proceeds flashing SuperSU.
Hello all,
I need some help!I have a Moto X Pure Edition XT 1575 I just unlocked bootloader and then intalled TWRP 3.1.1 and then installed SuperSU 2.79 and now no Sim is detected. What did I do wrong?
Thanks!
Unroot & clean with supersu app. It should restore boot image.
/You can also restore boot, system, wipe data in twrp/
Reboot & check.
If ok try rooting with supersu 2.82 or magisk 14. @kaleend101
