Looking for testers/developers for PhoenixROM - One (M9) General

Hi
I have recently decided to branch out from the m7 to the m9 in the hopes of keeping up with the latest phones. Here's a little background.
I'm -MightyMouse- (formally phonegeekjr) and I've been developing for about 1.5 years. I started with the HTC One XL and did pretty well there, and learned a lot from that device. After that I had an HTC One M7wls. I didn't do as well there for a number of reasons, one of which being I got sloppy. I didn't properly test my ROMs before releasing them and sometimes I would release them with known bugs in them just to get new releases out there. Most of all, I became bored. I was doing the same things I had learned with the One XL and wasn't learning like I was previously (I should probably note that I took no classes in java or any other programming language, I kind of flew by the seat of my pants all the way). The story could go on for a wile, so in the interest of time, I will skip ahead a little. I began working on a ROM for the m9 shortly after I got a developer edition model. I think I am close to releasing for testers, so I'm putting this out in the hopes that I could get a few. I say that I'm looking for testers/developers in my title for a specific reason. I AM WORKING ALONE. I wan't to be able to bring great roms, but I have limited time to work on them. I have come to face the fact that I'm a kid that has to go to school (though i would much rather due this ) and frankly, I want a life. I need some help carrying the load. I like to work with other people and get ideas from other people. and I LOVE TO BE CORRECTED. I'm still learning, and I'm pretty sure I always will be learning. In doing this I hope to make a more stable ROM that people wan't to use. Speaking of which, I should give some details on the ROM.
I named it PhoenixROM back in my One XL days, and I kept the name cause I thought it sounded cool. The M9 version is based on the latest Android Revolution base (huge thanks to mike1986 for letting me use his ROM as a base). I have added a few things like carrier support for sprint and t-mobile. I have also added xposed and xtended settings, as I prefer xtended settings to sense toolbox, though I've left it as an option. I have left the Android Revolution Mods as well. I prefer a cleaner more stock ROM with minor UI edits, and I have used ElementalX since the One XL and haven't stopped using it.
Anyways that's my ROM. If you wan't more info, Check out my website here
If you wan't to contact me about testing or developing, please pm me.
Thanks for reading this and I hope that I hear from some people soon?
MM

It will be perfect to be integrated xtended settings to Phoenix Rom,I've used it in M7 before, but XS is not compatible with M9 at present.I wish you success.

1, listen to your customers.
2, test your roms properly before release no matter how long it takes. Safe is better than bricked.
3, have a goal in mind and stick to it. So many times I've seen roms lose focus due to requests for added items. Just do a complete rom and leave options to the customers.
4, find a gimmick to use. Make your rom unique to you. An example could be gesture shortcuts.. Like swipe for brightness was back in the day to cm roms.
Otherwise i wish you luck and hope you bring some m9 goodies to the table. My m9 isn't rooted yet but maybe it will by the time you have a good rom out?..
I wish I stole my HTC M9.

that's totally wrong! xtended works for m9 like for m7/8.. there are no problems!

Yea xtended settings is working perfect at the moment. I did have a problem, where I have to use an older version of xposed. It works, and it can be updated through xtended settings, but I would love to incorporate the latest xposed into PhoenixROM.

Thanks for keeping up with me. So far so good on finals.
I want to ask the whole community a question. What mods do you like to see in your ROM? I'm getting board of doing the same thing over and over, but I lack imagination so I need help with ideas.
Will start with ARHD 20 on Friday!!!!

@-MightyMouse- in fact I just need a few little things as I like a near stock experience. But as it is of special importance to me I need
> working Multiuser Support
Nice to have are things like
> little tweaking possibilities as e.g. clock in the middle of the menu bar, network speedmeter in menu bar left of battery percentage and
> adding more than fourth buttons to navigation bar
some of the last two bullitpoint are e.g. included in the "System UI Tuner" of the Marshmallow Update.
Thus would love a Sense ROM combining Multiuser & System UI Tuner.
Btw if it's ready to be used as a daily driver I would happily test it
Send by the swarm intelligence of my coffee machine (AKA HTC One M9).

Thanks, your the first to give me hard facts about user needs. I think I will have everything covered for you. xposed can do most of those things for you.

yes pls include xposed framework. that'll do. the rest is up to you

Hey Guys.
I have been using Marshmallow for 3 days now and my experience has been great. I will start putting something together next week as I have a non android project else were that need my attention. I need some help though. To add xposed I need help figuring out how to run the correct script as there was another script file added along with the update-binary.

If you add things into your ROM like app sidebar or circle bar or expanded desktop...all things where you can select individual apps, if you could add in a way to back up those settings between clean flashes you'd be the coolest guy on the block. I've never seen a ROM with that option for whatever reason. Maybe for the newbs keep the option greyed out until your apps are restored. Just an idea

Interesting idea. However there is a possibility that it can't be done, but at the same time, nothings impossible. I will defiantly look into it.

That would be cool. I'm personally a serial clean flasher and I've just never seen that option before. Looking forward to trying the ROM.

Hey Guys
So I had my drive corrupt on me and I lost what I was working on. I'm working on finishing my server so my files can be backed up there. It will be a wile before I come out with anything due to this. Sorry.

Finally
I got my server functioning correctly and am now working on my ROM from my 5 tb raid 6 setup and I also got the ability to fully test marshmallow. expect a testing file soon .

Hey guys
Did you think I forgot about you? Well I'm back to work on this in a few weeks as school is finishing up. I found a partner and I'm currently training him, with the added weight of school, I have no time to work on it, but having someone else will definitely help in the future. I have had another thing come up that is a slight hiccup, I'm no longer using t-mobile. I will still support it but I need a tester to make sure Wi-Fi calling and voice over LTE work. Thank you everyone for your support and patients

Hey everyone
To everyone expecting a ROM 6 months ago, I owe you an apology. School and family tied my hands and had no choice but to drop this project for a while. To those of you that have been patient, I really don't know how to thank you. But to all of you, I have a gift.
Check here

This is good news. Cant wait for a stable version to try

Nexus S Development 4G/GSM

Hello everyone. Allow me to introduce myself first off. I'm a long time xda member, an acs member (Android Creative Syndicate), a themer, and a developer. I originally started on the Samsung Moment, learned themes, and shortly after moved up to the Samsung Epic. I created quite a few themes for the Epic, and then began working with ACS devs testing and learning what they were doing for the ACS roms.
I've got some plans for my Nexus and hopefully everyone can benefit from it. My first missing piece upon buying the nexus was the widgets in the status bar ie bt, gps, wifi, etc. soon as I got my phone that was a high priority. I ported a theme immediately from the Epic so I could have my eye candy back while working on bigger and better projects. The theme is in Nexus Themes and Apps called H.R. Giger and can be found here: Thread. My second project, the Samsung Touchwiz Quick Panel port, which is also the same thing as the power control widgets on the Cyanogen Mod roms, is now mostly complete and can be found here: Thread. Also there is a subsequent thread that I turned into a guide on how I did the mod as well as actively answer questions to anyone looking to do the same for their roms located here: Thread. I say the mod is *mostly done because I would like to replace the auto rotation widget with the Wimax (4g) for us Sprint Users. The problem is Sprint has made the Wimax modular and placed it into an apk where it links itself into the settings menu, as well as the framework. The problem with this is I can't access the wimaxmanager inside the apk from the SystemUi.apk because of what seems to be a security issue. Most likely this was done intentionally by Sprint to protect their proprietary software, but I'm not 100% sure. I like to believe that we can get around it and get this working but it's def on the back burner now.
My current port is the TSM Lockscreen Parts. This mod allows you to go into settings, under the option for About Phone, there will be a new choice called Lockscreen Parts. From there you can choose between now 8 different Lockscreens. You can also turn the music controls on the different lock screens. I have the Mod 100% working with 3 of the lockscreens ported. I will have one more this afternoon and 4 more however long it takes.
I have released the Quick Panel mod to the public already since it's such a useful mod, but all of these things will be going into my rom which will include the quick panel, lockscreen chooser, and reboot options. The rom will be based on stock NS4G 2.3.4 GRJ22 AOSP build. There is absolutely, in my eyes, nothing wrong with the stock rom running on our Nexus. I feel adding as little code as possible to it to enable these features will send it over the top.
The reason for this thread is two fold. I would like to announce myself to the Nexus community for those coming from something other than the Epic and might not be familiar with my work, and to let any other developers out there what's on my plate if they care to take part in it or were planning on doing the same things. I hate to see someone start on the lockscreen today as much work as it is, and I'm more than half way through. Also I wanted to reach out to the GSM devs, as all this work should transfer over to your phones very easily.
Future projects are already on the backburner including a new theme complete as Giger that takes over every aspec of the phone but this time instead of replace the GB theme, I plan to accent it. Porting over a slew of nice themes is in the works as well. Also I plan on working on getting most of the Transparent and Blacked out apps the Epic has available over to us as well. Anyone else, I know Mikeinid was planning on a transparent gtalk as well so feel free to post here upcoming plans and we can build mods together as one instead of each other doing the same thing.
I hope there are more people out there that will join me in working on the Nexus because the more options the better!. I get asked plenty of times why am I working on porting smali code for the Nexus when we have full source. I'm a reverse engineer by heart. I work backwards a hell of a lot better than forwards. After this rom is complete and I'm set up building NS4G code from source, (I'm mostly done getting set up for that as well) I plan on playing with java code and seeing what apps/mods I can build right into source so in the future I hope my releases will be in source code and anyone can add the code and build it right into their roms.

Absolutely awesome post. I just got the nexus s 4G (coming from an EVO) and have been just getting a feel for these forums. I'm really happy to see a Sprint dev for the nexus s doing really exciting things. Thanks and I'll be really watching your stuff!!

I've put in a majority of the last 48 hours on on the epic lockscreen and still don't boot. This one requires modding the framework.jar. Each time I logcat the boot I'm finding more methods not present in the aosp so I'm definitely incorporating some new features. Music controls already work but the epic lock is going to display the tw controls I'm guessing. Regardless the end if near hopefully tomorrow then I have the ***** the puzzle lock then its more framework additions for the muiu lock. A couple weeks away I'm betting

dreams you are amazing. you already have my support (for what its worth..) and here is to hoping that you port puzzle lock to cm7 afterwards >.> or at the very least get nemith to include it
Cool, glad to see this stuff being ported. I am coming from the EVO and was used to so many devs working on themes, Roms and what not and the NS4G feels so bare. It's always nice to get new minds working on our device. You seem to know what you are doing and I can't wait to see your finished products. Thanks for the introduction.
I'm calling it quits for the night. Touchwiz files in this one require heavy modding of the smali. I have to add in tons of features not in. aosp and make it work together. I know most of what needed but this will take some time. Should be easier for the rest of the locks when I get our policy up to par with the sgs one.

CYANOGEN MOD, reinventing the wheel?

Hi, at the risk of starting a massive flame war, please dont, I'm just after information...
Being that the S2 stock ROM is already pretty good and we already have a number of decent ROM alternatives I am wonder what else CYANOGEN is going to bring to the party.
I have read all the spiel so I am not looking for the usual answers, what advantages exactly does it have, will it have, say over COGNITION when COGNITION Is fully working with video, games etc etc and has decent battery life. Doesn't have the CM7 messaging but I prefer K9 stock anyway.
I am also surprised that people are already using CM7 looking at the amount of DEV that still needs done.
I tried a CYANOGEN port on my old HD2 and I was left thinking what all the fuss was about, i'm probably missing something huge here, or CYANOGEN is really for advanced users or something.
Again, please keep this thread clean and calm
Please just go through the threads and read. It's all there. I won't rewrite the book. In short though, think a year from now. Cognition is based on stuff samsung released. What happens when samsung moves on? Cm7 will still be pushing the latest goodies.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I'm not going to lie I never understood the hype of cyanogen rom. I have also tried with an hd2 and wasn't blew away and didn't see anything special. I think cyanogen mod is for people looking for aosp.
I have much respect for that team though because as far as I know there roms are built from ground up. Unlike most custom roms sgs2 have are really just themed stock roms with a couple tweaks.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
you should probably stop wasting space here and go to cyanogen's site and read what it is about. if it doesnt interest you after that you dont have to think about it ever again. no need for threads like this, it just makes you look bad because you obviously have not spent any time researching and educating yourself before asking this question.
Isn't Android reinventing the wheel? iPhone was here first, and Android is just duplicating iPhone functionality. Google should shut down the Android project immediately.

Bingo!!! Some of us don't want to use crapware installed by the manufacturer who is really not a software expert, just a hardware expert, and want to come as close to the stock Android experience as possible. For me personally, things like hold volume button to skip to next song, switch between percentage battery and analog battery anytime you want, a very advanced OS theming engine which doesn't require you to flash anything to change the theme, always being on the bleeding edge of new Android releases/bugfixes etc. is the icing on top of the cake.
However, it's really about the excitement of checking the commit logs of the nightlies everyday to see what's new.
Yeah I never understood what the hype was all about either, don't get me wrong its a great aosp Rom and I give the devs a world of credit, but it feels like a number of things are just incomplete.
It has a few features that aren't found on most roms and runs quick as Hell, but if your looking for an in depth user friendly experience I would not say that this is the best for that as it lacks a lot of simple things you might be used to if your coming from a sense or some other kind of based rom
All I can really say is back yourself up and give it a try for a day or two and if you don't like it then just go back.
CM has only just come out, and is far from stable, and only really should be used if you are willing to help debug or want to live on the bleeding edge
We want CM for when samsung have abandoned us.
Its always good to have options!
Each rom, whether its a "themed" stock rom, or a ground up one like CM7 offers something different.
The obvious advantage has already been mentioned - once SGS2 goes EOL for Samsung, CM7 will continue to support newer versions of Android till as long as the (very) capable phone hardware can handle it.
There are improvements... for some... e.g. the native Samsung bluetooth stack doesn't work with Wiimotes... for instance... i believe CM7 and know MIUI does...
Its really a case of... pick and choose... no1 charges for these... try...as many... if you like one... say thanks to the Rom maker... and possibly a small donation!!!... and stick with it...
Thanks everyone, thats pretty much what I thought, nothing special compared to a good feature packed cooked ROM but very useful in the future when sammy stop updating, I just thought I was missing something huge the way people get excited about it.
Will stick with COG for now until CM7 is looking fairly complete and then give it s roll.
yeah its all about when samsung abandons the device. in addition, it also is about running a fully open source ROM on your phone. once the cyan rom gets stable, each night it will be updated with a change log, so gives you the ability to constantly be seeing the fixes to the software actually running on your phone. something you dont like? commit to the code, and it may get merged into the repo. its about having total control over the device you are using, seeing every little feature, the code for it, how it works, and ability to modify it if you want.
of course it also has some good features too. but the above is what i think the point of cyan is.

Your current ROM

We all know that Devs put a lot of effort and time on their project's. therefore their creation is often constantly changing.
I literally flash and test all the roms along with those major changes that Devs bring.
My current device is n910t.
I lke to note that i never sell my older devices, when i retire them i pass them down to friends and family. And before i do that, i make sure that the device has the most stable rom.
Devs put a lot of time and energy into this, and want to thank all of them for giving me something that i like and enjoy.
This is for users like myself, that consider this a passion or a hobby, and want to leave a quick and short opinion to what's best for them at the moment.
Hopefully that will help other users to make a quick decision on trying a rom without going to a thread and annoying the OP with questions like "how is battery life" or often directly or indirectly, comparing one OP's work with others in their own thread.
No matter how many roms i try, something that I love doing is to read all the threads and specially hearing the addicted flashaholics talk about anything, or the veterans with all their wise answers helping everybody
I know talking about roms in general in a single thread, is walking a fine line on the rules, in this forum. But, if we are educated enough, or at least try to be nice and respectful to each other, and specially to the devs and their work, we probably can keep this thread open and interesting, like it's meant to be.
I spend a lot of time testing touchwiz roms and lately aosp ones to.
If you asked me as far back as one week ago which one you think is the best and worth the daily driver for the moment, my answer would have been completely different than now.
I am unbiased, and that i guarantee, but i have to admit that sometimes i speek a little to soon, without meaning anything bad, but that eventually defeats being unbiased, so i do sound bad when that happens.
You have to realize that there is actually a way to say what you like about a rom, without offending others.
I am not going to give my review or my current opinion about the best rom right now, but with everyone else i will talk and discuss along the way.
Interesting thread. Let's hope no one gets butthurt.

That would be cause a lot of them might of forgotten to take the midol this morning lol. People need to get a grip that people will like others better and may not like some things a dev does or how certain devs just blow you off when u have an issue. It not till everyone says the same that the devs says oh geez let me look into that. It sad what xda has come to but I give the op credit for stating his opinion.
Post the scores for each category. I think if you rate them on a bunch of categories and say which ones are best at which categories, it might be a good way to not make this thread be about the "best rom" otherwise it will be closed in no time.

If you are wandering about comments above, The OP has been modified and changed prior to this post.
All devs have personal preference and individual set of skill and time. Likewise, users with personal preference and time. Some get what is more stable, some get what they really want and find time to ask others, to fix and tweak, to make the rom more stable, customized. Sharing the end results with devs and users. In reality best rom I think is the one, oneself could make themselves. Each rom has pros and cons. Each user uses their device differently, so even pros and cons can shift from one user to the next. I myself find any kitkat roms more practical by design. A more efficient way to use the device visually, with features and settings more organized and faster to recognize icons visually rather reading the icons labels. Lollipop has some new unique features, seems faster and smoother performance wise, but on the most part priority seems to be the color of things. If we lived in a perfect world with no time, I wonder what the hybrid of kit Kat and lollipop would be, or if all devs were one team. I think the best rom would be to have all the possible features/customizations with on/off switches. But that would probably require a lot of time and memory space, to also not have one feature conflict with another. Interesting place. Appreciate all devs and users with useful information they share with others.
Right now i have a backup of pretty much all the roms out there. The one that i always have when i am working is poprock because of battery life and overall stability. At home i mostly have TeXoDUs because i love customizations and the looks of it. When driving or out with friends i have aosp CmRemix has been the go2 lately, love the speed and gets me out of TW world for a while
Went back to kitkat/Firekat with bioshock kernel. Ran tw lollipop since it's release and every rom had issues. Not any developers fault, just unfinished, unrefined product from Google. I had way too many issues with camera not focusing, unexplained heat, wake locks, crap battery life, signal problems with new modem, random app force closes, etc, etc.

Maybe be a little more patient? ? Give it a chance, play around get yourself used to LP and you will realize that it's not so bad. If the problems that you described were persistent, there wouldn't been so many roms and users making the switch.

Will give this a shot and report back. Have you tried other roms to? Or did you stick with this from beginning? By saying more about this rom, in my opinion you advertise the devs work, and there is nothing more the devs want. They don't sell their work, it is a gift for us, the good words and popularity of their rom is more valuable to them then anything else.

If i just wanted something decent and never look back, i would have done the same to. But the truth of the matter is that i love NEW even if that is something that is not perfect yet. I love CHANGE, i like being curious with every update out there, and love flashing.
Lol i remember myself when i first bought a computer and would spend countless hours on IRC or going for days exploring programs, downloading torrents, and shiitte load of viruses along with them. Factory reseting windows weekly, and repeating the same thing over and over.
now these days i have settled with wiping and flashing. To old for anything else

Nice, thnx man!
Don't forget RAPTURE by ib4bested, that's rock solid to, and very fest with the most minimal bloatware than any other rom out there
And i can tell you right now, if TEKXodus was a little more organized, and what i mean by that is that if he had al the mods and themes in one place, something similar like Brians rom DynamicPop, where he has incorporated a settings icon with all his mods and tweaks (CM has that to) and had a little less unnecessary bloatware, made it more compact. That would be a dream rom with twice the user base. He is always there with a lot more work and updates than anybody else, his rom has the speed the battery life and the customization all in one.
Let me give an example.
When i flash his rom all i wanna see is the speed and the looks that he has right now. Everything else including samsung, google, tmobile, optional aps (bloatware) lmt all themes sound app, tweaks, themed sms, pull down notification tweaks, status bar etc, all into one single icon as a user choice mods. Thats a lot of work i know, but thats something that he certainly doesn't lack.
This way he would give every single person what they exactly want. With one stone he would kill countless birds ))

Verizon Note 7 Port ROM - Project turned over to the community!

I'm back on Verizon after switching to Sprint back in 2008. So I recently picked up a mint condition Verizon Note 4 so I could have a little fun building a new Note 7 port ROM. Many of you may know me as the creator of the Ultimate Note 7 ROM for the Sprint Note 4. I'm here to tell all of you that I've been working on a new Ultimate Note 7 ROM for the Verizon Note 4. It is nearly ready for public beta release! With the experience I have porting Samsung Touchwiz ROM's. I figured it is long overdue for the Verizon Note 4 users. My port ROM has official and original Verizon Note 7 framework, apps, etc. So instead of trying to make international port ROM's work, which is no simple task unless you know what you're doing, get ready for a true Verizon compatible Note 7 ROM. Those of you who still have your Verizon Note 4 and want to get more life and use from it with a fresh look and feel, look for a new ROM thread soon.
I need a few reliable and knowledgeable testers. If you can help troubleshoot and test the rom, please install Telegram app on your PC and your phone and join my Hybrid Port ROM's group so you can have access to the the test ROM and join the rest of us who are ready to get this thing going. See you there!

The S8 and N8 ROM's are Nougat 7.0. The N4 has been cut off at Android 6.0 and doesn't have official Samsung Nougat 7.0 kernel source, therefore the Snapdragon N4 can't run Android 7.0. ROM's. If this was possible we would have a lot of excited dev's continuing to build 7.0 TouchWiz ROM's for the N4. Unfortunately Marshmallow 6.0 is all we have for the N4 so the N7 Marshmallow software and perhaps some ported S8/N8 apps is as good as it gets for the N4. What i'm doing is building a solid N7 base ROM for the Verizon N4. Once it's ready I will upload it as a stock base rom. Other dev's can use my base to build out custom ROM's with mods, ROM control, Xposed, etc, etc. This will eliminate the need to fix any network related features. It will all work as it should. International N7 port ROM's are not compatible with the U.S. CDMA carrier's features. This is why we need a true Verizon N7 base rom. I know it's a little late and many people have upgraded to newer phones but if there's still users here wanting to run a proper Verizon N7 ROM, this will be it.
With this said, I welcome any and all testers and dev's to pitch in and help test and troubleshoot minor bugs. PM me if you're interested in helping with this. The ROM is 100% complete and operational but I'm working on minor bugs with a few system apps.

I realize the Note 4 has been cut off at Android 6.0, but how are devs able to come up with a 7.1.2 ROM for it? User hsbadr has three: LineageOS, ResurrectionRemix. and EmotionOS (this one seems to be discontinued). I haven't used any of his ROMs for quite some time, because they seem a bit buggy, to me, but that's beside the point I'm getting at. How is he able to make a 7.0 ROM and others can't seem to? That said, why wouldn't an 8.0 ROM be possible?

You're talking about AOSP ROM's. Those ROM's are open source from Google, not Samsung Touchwiz ROM's. Big difference. The kernels they build are not compatible with Samsung Touchwiz ROM's

Hello, I am still rocking the note 4 Verizon. And I will be keeping it as long as devoted members such as yourself put out great roms! That being said I would like to be a beta tester if you so need one. I have a little knowledge in troubleshooting and the like, mostly my expertise is in repairing and building phones. I have a whole closet that's devoted to phone parts repair, and computer systems repair. My last few phones I have held on to until the dev section went quiet, note 2, Moto atrix, moto bionic... they were awesome with deodexed/rooted roms... I am addicted to flashing new roms to find the right balance between performance and battery...
By the way, one slight request, when all said and done fixing most of the bugs, don't forget to make sure the rom has a kernel that is compatible with extended batterys. Most of us holding out with our outdated note 4, usually have those huge batteries hanging off the back...lol

No worries. I'm using the Flashpoint kernel and there's also an extended battery version. It's based on Verizon N4 QI2 so it's good to go.
OH MY GLOB!
I still have my Verizon Note 4, can't wait for this rom ???

I just figured you would build your own kernel. Yes, flashpoint is the best in my opinion, as of right now.

I really don't mess with kernels. That's not really my forte. If needed, I would just ask someone to build one. But since there's already one available and it happens to be from Verizon source I will use it and give credit. But I may request a new kernel from the latest source once I get the rom ready.

I think I may have the CQL1 source kernel ready. I've been running it since Tues and was thinking of posting it soon. If you, or anyone else, wants to try it out you can download it here.
The source code is here for those interested.
The changes are the same as the ones for the 910F beta kernel that was posted the other day.
Change Log:
Backported the 3.18 Linux version of Interactive Governor
Add patch for USB fast charge
Add Sound Controls- so far this hasn't negatively impacted anything but it's definitely the change I'm most concerned about and will probably make a separate version without this in the future. Be careful with this. Had my earbuds in and it gets very loud.
LED fade control
Completely reworked the thermal temperature control. So far the temperature has been throttling down pretty good when it goes above the set temp. I've been setting mine on the lowest setting.
Added zswap control
Extended Battery patch is included
On a personal note, I'm very excited to see a port rom that's not built with an international firmware. If there's anything I can help with let me know. My skills are somewhat limited but every now and again I can get lucky.
Thanks Kevin. What I want to do is get the stockish base N7 ROM done then see if there's somebody who wants to take it to the next level and add mods, rom control etc, etc. I know a lot of people like the custom mods, xposed, etc but these days I really don't care for that stuff as long as everything works as it should i'm happy. So if you know of someone who could take on that task once I get the base ROM finished, then that would be great for everyone who wants the custom stuff. And I can take a break. I'll pm some of you once the test build is ready. We'll need to test the basic functions like bluetooth NFC, wifi, etc. It should all work because i've ported these roms before so I know what all i have to do. I'll get the test rom ready as soon as i can as time permits. I'm going over framework getting it debugged and making sure it's a smooth and zippy as i can make it.

I don't use xposed anymore... too much of a hassle to get through some apps that look for it and are diabled from xposed...
Couple brainstorming requests, or something... lol
the people Edge should work properly... I've had so many TW roms that are half done and people Edge is boinked..
Something with note 7 roms and task manager is buggy on note 4...
There is a fingerprint work around for ported roms, if we could get a good, understandable write up to make that work, that would be appreciated.
TW launcher should be themeable... some ports I've tried have that boinked as well.
The brightness on some ports has an issue with not dimming, or high brightness when in sunlight and darkness...
Mostly stock feel and look is quite nice though.

All of the things you mentioned will be working, except fingerprint scanner. That is a lot harder to pull off and will be the very last thing on the to-do list. If it could be made to work other dev's would have figured it out by now without the N4 settings apk swap trick. But i will definitely try my best to get the fingerprint scanner working with my verizon N7 ROM. With Kevin's custom kernel this will be an amazing ROM for the Verizon N4! It's coming along great. It's raining all day today so i'm inside hammering away on the ROM.

I kniw it's tricky with the fingerprint, I was just suggesting an easy unified post of HOW to do it on this new rom you're making

Well it's never been accomplished by anyone as far as I know. I started working on the fingerprint scanner fix for my sprint UN7 ROM but I abandoned it due to the complexity and the time it takes to do it. It wasn't worth the amount of time and work. This is why it hasn't already been done. We'll see how it goes but I seriously doubt fingerprint scanner will be working on initial release. it's probably my biggest negative on running the N7 port ROM. I use fingerprint lockscreen even though it's the swipe method.

[SOLVED] Just got My new Pixel 2 XL. Does anyone want a Stock ROM?

Hey Folks,
I was not very happy with My XZ Premium (Display) and just switched this Weekend to a Pixel 2 XL. The Pixel 3 XL was no Option for Me with the Notch and now am i here...
I do always optimize My Devices for My needs and share it with a lot of Infos with the Community on XDA and i don't want to stop here. I tried Havoc OS and just switchen back to Stock. I've seen there is no one pushing Stock ROMs anymore and i think the Pixels deserve some Stock Love since the Stock OS is already really awesome OOTB. I realeased Years ago on the Nexus 6 My first Patch which was made for Stock and AOSP but i would like to Focus on Stock for now and to push a ROM like Patch over the Firmwares we actually flash with the Deuce Script (Or the Google Bat File). I just would like to know how interested You are on this...
So let Me know what You think, and any Help is always Welcome!
More coming after that!
Stock rom with cherry picked features? Sounds good

Bring it, kind sir.
I've tried many custom ROMs on the 2xl and I've never stayed on any for more than a week. I always return to stock ROM so this sounds good.
Hey Miustone - welcome!
Good to have you here - you brought life into my LG G5 3 years ago with your patches :highfive:
I don't know what you want to improve here, since the Google stock ROM is lightyears ahead of the crap LG puts out. But I'm definetly interested in your work and would try it out. :good:

Nice to hear that, think we have a good Taste when it comes to Devices ? LG was really a Bad Trip for Me. Xperia is nice, but i need 1440p (Daydream) and good Speakers. Glad to be Back on a Google Device which fits in that. Nexus 6 Feelings coming Up here x)
I'm currently setting Up Linux on My PC, and think i will Release a pure Stock ROM the next Days. My Patch Way doesn't plays nice with Treble (A/B) so do i have to Go Back to the ROM Creators Edge. But except goodies Like AROMA and built in Tools like optional ROOT, and all that (Like known from Me).
Maybe do i also Push My ROM for the Pixel 2, and 3 Devices but let's See how hard it is to manage it...
Glad to get positive Feedback at all. Really motivating :highfive:

Looking forward to your ROM! Do you think you will be able to support Active Edge? Surprisingly, I use this feature every day...
If stock had smart bar and center clock that would be sweet.
Sure
That'll be great, ?
Absolutely, I just got my Pixel 2 XL and will root it tonight but want to stay on stock to see what the best of google is all about I am coming from a Oneplus One so it will be hard to stay away from custom Roms but stock with ui improvements and added features, sure, I'll take it
That would be much appreciated.
I think that this would be the rom we don't have in pixel.

Hey Folks, I'm very busy this Week with My main Work since My Father is on Tour in Poland. But ill take the rest from the coming Saturday and Sunday to push a first ROM for TWRP. Ill use Superrs Kitchen for the Updater Script and the rest will be Hand Made by Me! Hope You will like whats coming, and Hint: "It will be Special". Oh, "And it will be super clean Work (German attitude lol)".
I'm btw still looking for a Team since some Years. Would be nice to find someone with a Pixel to helpout with whatever. Kernels, APK Creating/Edits, Designing Stuff... Just let Me know when You want to contribute or teach Me something like that
Great idea
Enhanced stock rom is always the best.
Been running factory stock for months, as Sprint is not currently fully-supported on any custom roms. I've all but forgotten the joys of flashing. Custom stock would be great!
Got something for You which will be released the next Hours... I just say Fluence UHD is back ! <3
(Fluence UHD Thread will be linked on the first Post and in My Signature after making it Public)
