Hey all
The Yotaphone has been with as for a few months now, released by Russian manufacturer Yota Devices. The devices party piece is a e-ink display on its rear, giving a "always on" screen. Yota claim this to be a battery saving feature as the e-ink screen only uses power when it updates, the logic they say, is users often check there phone for notifications etc, so the secondary screen will reduce the need to use the power hungry main LCD display. Has the company been a little late to the game with this "feature"? as smartwatches are now with us, giving us notifications at the flick of the wrist. Looking forward to hearing members thoughts on the specs on the Yotaphone, or its intriguing design:good:

For me it has been more than a year, and it's running butter smooth (8GB ROM). Battery backup is 1.5-2 days for "normal" usage, and <1 day on heavy usage. None of the hardware has got any damage. Being a smart user with root, xposed, greenify, etc. I never feel my phone to be outdated (though spec-wise, one may argue it's rather old). And now that Official Lollipop has arrived, all the more happy
Owe a big thanks to all the developers on XDA
